  1. Information copied from the Cyberscore Discord, originally written by Haruhi.
  2.
  3. I guess it's time to formally announce this, seeing as I've been teasing it for a week or so. We have a fairly major update to CS rankings coming soon (soon as in I haven't started developing it but the design is now finished)
  4. In a nutshell
  5. 1. CSR will now be awarded for all chart types.
  6. 2. CSR will be scaled on a per-chart basis based on competitive factors giving it a multiplier, which will balance extremes such as driveclub and mobile games.
  7. 3. All chart types will now also count towards the game scoreboards, meaning you need to sub all charts to earn trophies.
  8. 4. Trophy table, medal table and speedrun awards table will be seeing a balance change to make them less plat centric.
  9. Golds/silvers/bronzes will now be worth more, but plats will still ultimately be the fastest way to climb. Platinums will be scaled based on RPC/chart subs(edited)
  10. 5. We will be removing the user challenge chart type, and making it a modifier available for all chart types. You could have a user challenge speedrun chart, for example.
  11. This way the user-defined aspect of the challenge becomes more all-encompassing. These charts will automatically award no CSR, as in the current system.
  12. 6. We will be removing unranked (it will be CSR x0 instead), and renaming "Ranked" to "Standard" because all chart types will be ranked now.
  13. 7. We'll be adding 2 new chart types - the solution chart type (least moves, least turns etc.) and collection (collectibles, most rings, most coins etc.)
  14. ----
  15. This will majorly change the landscape of the global scoreboards.
  16. You can expect to climb and fall as we shift chart types and CSR multipliers around.
  17. Ultimately, this will allow us yet more freedom and functionality with how we deal with games and charts.
  18. It also proves a much more fine-tuneable system in regards to balancing games against each other.
  19. So while Teln has pointed out that fully subbing driveclub instantly grants you 1/1 mainboard, that won't be the case anymore.
  20.
