- //race your centaur kids
- //need at least one child with Kelly
- [children]: [if (>1 kid) {children|[if (son) {son|daughter}]}]
- [Race] {Tooltip: Try to outspeed your centaur [children]
- As you [walk] over to the field where your [children] with Kelly [are] playing, [if (>1 kid) {one of them|[if (son) {he|she}]}] quickly takes notice, galloping towards you as fast as [his/her] equine body can take [him/her]. [if (>1 kid) {[if (>2 kids) {The rest of them|[His/Her] sibling}]}] quickly [follow], and you're soon surrounded by [if (2 kids) {both|all [number]}] of your children.}]
- [say: [Daddy]!] [if (>1 kid) {They crowd around you, each one shouting louder than the last as they vie for your attention|Your [son/daughter] nestles into your [if (istaur) {flank|side}], smiling contently as you pat [his/her] head}]. [if (>1 kid) {[say: Come play with us!]|When you ask if [he/she] wants to play, [he/she] nods eagerly, already impatiently waiting for you follow.}]
- Well, if [they/he/she] [like] to run so much, why not have a race? You're sure [their] mother would enjoy the scene, so you wish your [children] a brief goodbye and head back to the barn, searching for Kelly. When you do find her[if (hascock) {--and get her to stop eyeing [if (hasarmor or haslowergarment) {the outline of}] your [cock] long enough to listen--|,} she thinks your [children] will love it, so with that in mind, you decide to give it a try.
- //singleleg
- Your little [centaur] [erupts] into giggles when you suggest the idea. [if (>1 kid) {[say: [Daddy] doesn't have any legs!]|[say: But [Daddy], you don't have any legs.]}]
- While that may be true, you tell [them/him/her] to never underestimate someone. [if (high corr) {Just look at [their/his/her] mother for proof. Your [children] [seem] a bit shaken, but still eager to race.|That's how the demons get you. Your [children] [apologize] for teasing you, but still [seem] eager to race.}]
- //driders
- Your [children] [if (>1 kid) {look nervously at each other|looks around nervously}] when you suggest the idea. After much coaxing, [one of them/he/she] explains, clearly embarrassed, [say: Mom says we're fast because we have four legs... but [Daddy] has even more.]
- While that may be true, you tell [them/him/her] to do [their/his/her] best regardless.
- [say: Okay...] Your [children] [don't] seem entirely convinced, but still [seem] willing to give it a try.
- //everyone else
- Your [children] [jump] with excitement when you suggest the idea. [say: Please, [Daddy]!]
- [They/He/She] all but [drag] you off, anxious to get started.
- //merge, no new paragraph
- You explain the rules as you walk [them/him/her] over to [their/his/her] field, [if (>1 kid) {your words drowned out by their chatter|your [son/daughter] listening to your every word}]. They're simple ones: no pushing, and the first one around the pasture wins.
- [if (>1 kid) {Each of your kids claims [i:they're] going to be the winner as you all line up in a row|Your [son/daughter] nods and lines up beside you, ready to begin}].
- Before you have to wait long, Kelly trots up to the fence to start the race, blowing you a kiss for good luck. [if (low speed) {You might need it.|You hope you don't need it}].
- [say: 3... 2... 1... Go!]
- //do some magic here to see if you win, based on speed or fatigue or something
- //lose
- Your [children] [take] an early lead, but you [if (isnaga) {slither|[if (isgoo) {ooze forward|[if (isdrider) {scuttle|[if (istaur) {gallop|run}]}]}]}] as fast as you can, determined not to fall behind. The first corner sees you right on [their/his/her] [tail], but your lungs already burn with each ragged breath you gulp down. Not long after, your [children] [start] to pull away, too focused on [if (>1 kid) {competing with each other|the race}] to notice [their/his/her] [father] fading into the distance.
- By the second corner, you're forced to accept that [if (istaur) {your [kids/little boy/little girl] [have] bested you, much to your dismay|you're just not fast enough to compete with a centaur, no matter how young [they are/he is/she is]}]. Still, you're not about to concede, so you press on, your [legs] aching almost as much as your pride while you round the field by yourself. After what feels like hours of agony, you finally make it back to the start and collapse in the grass, panting heavily while your [children all/son/daughter] [watch] on with amusement.
- [say: [Daddy]'s so slow!] You can't even muster the energy to do more than groan in response, and your centaur [kids/boy/girl] [laugh] even harder at that.
- Eventually your suffering ceases to be quite so entertaining, and [they/he/she] [do] at least help you [if (singleleg) {up|to your feet}] before running off to play some more. Wherever [they/he/she] got all [their/his/her] energy, it must not have been from you. [if (iselder) {Maybe you [i:are] getting old.}] //back to kelly menu
- //win by a little
- While your [children] [bound] away at the start, you remain not far behind, matching every one of [their/his/her] strides with [if (singleleg) {a push|one}] of your own. [if (istaur) {Thanks to your|Despite [their/his/her}] equine physique, you manage to keep pace with the little [centaurs], though a quick glance tells you [they/he/she] [aren't] breathing quite as hard as you. Doubt creeps in as you look up to what seems like an eternity of field ahead. Can you really do this?
- Pushing that thought out of your mind, you focus on the grass in front of you and the rhythm of [if (singleleg) {your body sliding along the ground|your steps}]. Out of the corner of your eye you see [them/him/her] fall behind, quickly followed by the rumble of hooves at your back. Sweat drips into your eyes as you round the last corner, your [children] right [if (singleleg) {behind you|on your heels}], but you've come too far to lose now.
- Your aching [if (singleleg) {[if (isnaga) {tail|body}] propels you across the|feet pound against the}]}] ground, your lead growing ever so slightly as you charge to the end. [One of your children/Your son/Your daughter] comes after you, but you hold on, keeping [him/her] at bay as Kelly draws closer and closer. Her cheers give you the strength for one last push, and you grab it with all you have, throwing yourself to the finish just ahead of your [son/daughter].
- //win by a lot
- While your [children] [bound] away at the start, you're not far behind, matching every one of [their/his/her] strides with an effortless [if (singleleg) {push|one}] of your own. [if (istaur) {Thanks to your|Despite [their/his/her}] equine physique, you manage to easily keep up with the little [centaurs], and a quick glance to the side shows [they're/he's/she's] breathing much harder than you. This race is supposed to be for fun, though, so you hold your incredible speed back for now.
- Instead, you focus on the grass in front of you and the rhythm of [if (singleleg) {your body sliding along the ground|your steps}], letting the easy pace lull you into a trance. Out of the corner of your eye you see [them/him/her] fall behind, followed by the rumble of distant hooves at your back. Sweat drips into your eyes as you round the last corner and let yourself go, each [if (singleleg) {passing second|step}] pulling you farther and farther away from the trailing [centaurs].
- You don't concern yourself with [them/him/her], though, content in enjoying the air against your face as you charge across the ground, sprinting the rest of the way. Kelly flies past in a blur, and only then do you slow down, turning around just in time to meet your [children] at the finish.
- //merge
- [All of them/He/She] [walk] over to you, panting and exhausted, but clearly impressed with [their/his/her] [father]'s speed[if (singleleg) {, especially considering your lack of legs}]. You spend the time cooling off with your little [centaurs], congratulating [each one/him/her] on [their/his/her] effort. With more training, [they/he/she] might even beat you, and [i:that] makes [their/his/her] eyes light up with excitement. You've no doubt that your [children] will be practicing once you leave, intent on besting you next time.
- For now, though, you say your goodbyes and head back to Kelly, leaving your [kids/child] to rest. //back to kelly menu
