Background: She was born in the slums of Busan. Her family was extremely poor and they couldn’t do anything. She and her brother wasn’t able to go to kindergarten or school for the first years of her life.

When she was 8 all of this changed. She and her parents where on a bus, on there way to her aunts house. They were waiting for the red light to turn green when all of a sudden she saw a strong light coming from her right. A big truck came speeding right in to the bus making it fall over. She passed out.

She woke up 2 weeks later to find out that both her parents had passed away that day and that her older brother was in a coma. She was now supposed to live with her aunt.

Her aunt was a really happy person. Even in the worst times she always manage to have a big smile on her face. Gi learnt a lot from her. When her brother finally woke up from the coma she promised herself to ways be happy because a smile is contagious. And those times she actually is sad, she doesn’t want to show it because it makes her feel weak.
