personality : narumi is the type of silent you watch out for. despite being the quiet foreign girl, narumi is extremely feisty and quick-witted whenever she opens her mouth. she has a tendency to be incredibly straightforward, and tends to get herself in trouble with the manager. the only person who could ever set her straight and hold her back is the mother of the group, and even then she'll throw in her two cents in a passive-aggressive way. it's not easy to befriend her, which is why she usually works behind the counter making the drinks/food instead of occupying the cash register (or waitressing). though she does have an approachable face, and it actually does attract customers whenever they see her through the window or walking outside in her uniform. the downside is that she's quite opposed to being 'picked up', and is a hopeless romantic at heart. she wants profound conversations at 3am, the gradual development from friendship to something more, and all the things you can find in cheesy romance movies-- but narumi has a tendency to deny that she wants any of that, and will stray away if she finds herself being to soft, not wanting to seem weak.

background : narumi lived in a pretty functional household. the most conflict they've had is the dark patch they had when her father went through a mid-life crisis at the age of thirty-nine, and had spent night after night hearing her parents fight over the debt they were in as her father began wasting the money they earned. it lasted for a little over a year, where her mother constantly taught her to be independent because this is a possibility that could happen if she became too dependent. her father moved to korea a few years after everything was fixed, getting a job as an engineering professor in seoul, and he took her and her brothers with her. her mother was too busy in japan to come, and her little sister was only an infant at the time that couldn't even form coherent sentences, so they stayed behind.
             while her brothers pursuing spotlights, narumi found herself looking at starlight-- and everything beyond it. as her brothers decided to go to the school of performing arts and move out, it was only her and her father left in their apartment in seoul. they're not struggling with money, nor are they struggling with their familial bond. her mother and sister come to visit when they can, but since her mother is busy constantly designing new lines, and her sister wasn't earning money, it wasn't often.

his personality : he's a very caring and thoughtful person, in contrast the image the fanbase usually gives him. he has a sense of duty to his members that he feels the need to fulfill, and tries his hardest to succeed in doing so. being a passionate person, he tends to take a lot of things seriously and will often seem like a cold character when in reality he's extremely focused on completing the task at hand with as much effort and emotion as he possibly can. he's not the type to take things lightly when it comes to people/things that he loves (ie. his group members, family, career), and is very protective of them to the point where he'd butt heads with just about anybody who decides to mess with them. he has a tendency to be sarcastic, hiding emotions behind a mask of indifference just so his members know that they can rely on him if they need help. even though he knows that repressing all those emotions isn't the best idea, he knows(thinks) that the members will immediately think he is weak/be discouraged if they see him break down.

how your character acts around him : she knows about him, obviously, but he doesn't fit her 'ideal type' so she doesn't pay much attention to him in the beginning. as time goes by (and they visit more?) she notices that they're maybe not so different, and tries to talk to him. but, the moment she tries to strike up conversation, they only discovered the parts of their personality that clashed, and for a while she's extremely sassy towards him-- worldwide idol be /damned/-- until (fuck this is gonna get cringey real quick) he comes in alone during the late hours so no one's around, and the other girls are either in the back thinking that no one is going to come in or going home, and the only one left working is her and the mother of the group. seeing as she's the only person at that moment behind cash register, and that no one was planning on coming in any time soon, she decides to sit with him and talk. and /bam/ deep conversation about getting to know each other right there and they find that there're some things about each other that work and click together, and, though they do occasionally butt heads with their sarcasm, they find solace with each other during sleepless nights.

how he acts around your character : he can't deny that she was alluring (and.. really tall..), and probably the reason they were dragged into the cafe, but he found that she didn't make much effort to talk to him, focusing instead on the other members (coughtaehyungcough). and, when the time came around to when she finally tried to make conversation with him, he already had the first impression that she wanted absolutely nothing to do with him so he did act quite cold. that, with her straightforward and rather confident personality for a quiet person, clashed with his snarky side. the middle of their relationship is filled with disses and passive aggressive comments, neither one of them really giving the other a chance. until he decided to just get away for a while one night, and decided to go to the cafe just to sit and relax. it was to his dismay that she seemed to be the only one working, but it was a safe and empty place, so he went in nonetheless. at first, he was hoping that she would just leave him alone and let him think things through himself, but by the end of the night he's rather happy about the new number saved in his phone.
