- Tribunals:
- Participants will have the ability to question the tier-status of other participants’ entries exclusively in Tribunals. This means that out-of-tier arguments will not be considered in the tournament proper, so participants are highly encouraged to participate in Tribunals. If another participant has an entry that you feel is OoT you can engage them in that debate within Tribunals, tagging both them and 1 of the judges. Judges will then make rulings based on the debate that unfolds to decide whether they believe a character to be OoT.
- Judges still retain the right to make out-of-tier rulings during the tournament proper. If a judge feels that a participant is pushing their entry’s abilities beyond the bounds of the tier they can rule that character OoT and rule an automatic loss for the character in the round. Expect judges to thoroughly review all entries’ RTs and to examine participants’ arguments closely for an unfair representation of their abilities.
- Tribunals will begin once Sign Ups conclude.
- Battle Royale Round:
- The tournament will continue single-elimination style until only two competitors remain. While those two competitors debate, all the losers from all previous rounds can participate in a Battle Royale Round to win the chance at challenging the champion. In the Battle Royale Round each participant will submit 1 comment (10k character max) evaluating why their characters would survive and ultimately prevail in a battle royale against all other combatants. The judges then pick the competitor whose comment was most persuasive, and said winner will have 1 additional debate round against the champion to decide the winner of the Roshambo Rumble.
