Wedg: The personal cloud you'll be waiting for forever.

"Wedg: the personal cloud you've been waiting for." was supposed to be a personal cloud box with secured share applications. It never materialized, and the creator claimed legal troubles as the campaign was ending. No evidence of said trouble was ever presented beyond vague implications that it was an American company that laid claim to some of their code via an employee that wasn't actually authorized to work for other entities.

Shehbaz Afzal, the project's creator, stepped down in 2016, turning the operations over to a company and an unknown primary with no social media presence. This company, Montrose Innovations Limited and it's primary, Carol Bohm-Scott, made a few updates before vanishing in January 2017 after posting one last update indicating progress was still happening.

At this point, both Wedg Limited, the creator, and Montrose Innovations Limited, the director, are considered dissolved by Companies House, the branch of the UK government that handles incorporation of businesses. The address given for both was a hotdesk office, now also defunct and occupied by a financial concern. Indiegogo, the platform provider, has been uninterested in helping backers with this project, instead preferring to simply close requests with no feedback.

The backers are left with a bunch of dead links, empty promises, and an average of somewhere around $187 lost. We only know what's left online, most of which is just a promo video and some empty profiles. A campaign backer picked up the twitter account and uses it to rant about Wedg, and the now-dead company website is owned by same and points to the twitter feed.

If you were a backer, please email Indiegogo ASAP. Point them towards this paste, and ask for a refund. Good luck, my companions.
