  1. “D-don't worry...” He choked out, in a voice that spoke of plenty to worry over. Then he just choked, a sputtering gasp that should have been something else, but whatever it had been wouldn't stay in his mind for long enough. By the time he regained control of his voice, it would be as a pale whisper to hear, nearly nothingness. Silence wasn't an option, though, if he was silent then he wouldn't have anything to hear but the sound of that sobbing, which he thought he could calm as his final action, because it would be a simple failure on his part to not. Though with those so disjointed, so winding and twisting, what could he say? He had to do it (whatever it was; his mind was too scrambled for him to recall the goal, despite his determination to follow through on it) with his voice now, because his eyes simply refused to open again, and there was no chance of a reassuring look making it out of them. He wasn't coherent, so he didn't try to think of anything to say, just plucked up the first possibilities to express what he wanted to and threw them out weakly, “It... fine... It'll be...”
  2.
  3. His mouth continued empty motions for a second or two, taking in air and expelling it noiselessly, and all the continuing noise around him, including the one he couldn't stop, which he couldn't remember the significance of beyond needing to stop it, for the good of whoever was making it, but even that had become distant, removed from him until only the inside of his head was loud and bustling, until a loud rushing and crash that only he could hear brought him into silence.
