- AFTER TURNING IN ANOTHER FEW ESSENCES...
- A slight chill passes over your features as Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer channels your reflection
- into a shimmering ball of water that coalesces in his palm.
- The waters within the Thalassos quietly churn, whispers of sadness laden in the briny air.
- Turning his gaze back to the Thalassos, Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer says to you, "I spoke with
- Gyorn and Falaine briefly - I daresay we may be ready soon. Zeasha and I are discussing our thoughts,
- and then I will let New Celest know."
- Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, you say, "Mm. Hopefully our efforts will be enough to
- soothe the pain and calm some of this storm. ... If nothing else, the cats have been really miserable
- since all this started."
- (Celest): Soterasiel says, "If enough people are interested in trying I will offer a unique prize to
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer chuckles under his breath and adds, "The storm's made cats out of
- many of us, I think. You should see some of the sailors yowling and spitting over their tankards."
- The waters within the Thalassos quietly churn, whispers of sadness laden in the briny air.
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer flashes you a fond smile before turning back to the Thalassos. He
- pats his metallic vessel idly, his brow furrowing. "Anything at all we can do to redirect this storm...
- and if we can relieve some of its pain, too..."
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer trails off, contemplative.
- Muffled laughter echoes from somewhere outside.
- Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, you say, "Mm... if we're especially lucky, it might even
- resonate with the Sea Spirit, though I doubt that will occur."
- The waters of the Thalassos still for but a moment, revealing a glimpse of clear waters in its depths
- before the surface is troubled anew.
- With a quiet sigh through his gills and nose, Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer says, "We can only
- hope..."
- TIME PASSES, OH LOOK IT’S CHELIYI
- The Tree of Life blooms from a spark of numinous light, unfurling the sefira in a display of white
- light. Cheliyi steps out of the centre, wreathed in energy.
- Trailing in a bone-chilling fog, Muginn, the ghost-feathered magpie flies in from the ether.
- Cheliyi hugs you with no small amount of effort, pulling you into a tight embrace.
- Cheliyi smiles brightly at you, her frills puffing with joy.
- Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says to you,
- "Hi hi Dad, any changes so fars?"
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer flashes Cheliyi a joyous smile.
- Cheliyi blinks.
- Cheliyi smiles brightly at Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer, her frills puffing with joy.
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer lifts his driftwood staff in greetings, then gestures toward the
- Thalassos. "Are you here, by chance, to help with calming the Thalassos?"
- Cheliyi nods her head sagely.
- Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says, "Don't
- have essences gets, but came to check on Dad."
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer flashes Cheliyi an excited smile and gestures toward the Thalassos.
- "We think we've found a way to begin calming the weather," he explains. "We allow light essence to sink
- within the basin, and, like a sponge, we draw away some of its pain. Drops in the bucket, but every
- drop counts."
- Patting his metallic vessel, Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer says, "If you give me the sea essence it
- creates, I will keep it safe in here for now."
- Cheliyi pats you in a friendly manner.
- Zeasha Novikei calmly enters from the up, moving to the rhythm of some unheard song.
- Glancing curiously at the lucidian, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says, "Though, he's
- probably thinking real hard about something..."
- Cheliyi smiles brightly at Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides, her frills puffing with joy.
- Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides tilts her head curiously as she is lost in thought, murmuring to
- herself, "Now, how did that one song go again...?"
- You reach over and ruffle Cheliyi's hair fondly.
- As she sweeps in, Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides flashes a smile for Cheliyi and you before
- letting her gaze rest on Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer. "I do think that addresses the last of our
- questions, yes?"
- Cheliyi blinks.
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer nods, then pushes his slipping spectacles up his nose once more.
- "Indeed. Let me alert the rest of the city. Once I do," he tilts his head toward you and Cheliyi,
- "might one of you be willing to assist the rest of Celest's citizens with joining us?"
- Cheliyi tilts her head curiously at you.
- Thoughtfully, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says, "I cans, but Dad is more experienced."
- Lightly clearing his throat, Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer says, "I know he has been carefully
- studying the Thalassos with me for the past day or so now. I will let New Celest know."
- Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides nods her head at Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer.
- Virescent lightning tears storm clouds into tatters as it arcs downward and strikes the top of Cassis
- Cornuta Tower with fulminating sparks.
- (Celest): Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer says, "Hail, New Celest! Zeasha and I have concluded our
- discussion, and we believe we have done all we can to prepare. I would like to gather by the Thalassos
- again to discuss what your thoughts over the past month have been, and see what we might do."
- (Celest): Soterasiel says, "Understood, we shall arrive immediately."
- (Celest): Soterasiel says, "How do we get there?"
- (Celest): Cheliyi says, "Can teleports to me or Tridemon!"
- (Celest): You say, "You can- yes."
- You feel a slight tug within your chest and the air around you sparkles with motes of bright light.
- You sense Gyorn pulling on the strands of aether surrounding you.
- Cheliyi jerks slightly as the air fills with sparkling motes of bright light.
- You sense Soterasiel pulling on the strands of aether surrounding Cheliyi.
- Among the sparkling motes of light, a translucent figure appears in the air and then quickly solidifies
- as Gyorn, riding a silver dragon turtle with crimson wings, comes into view.
- A silver dragon turtle with crimson wings ponderously enters from the ether.
- Gyorn's movement causes his magical shield to dissipate.
- His eyes focused and vigilant, a ruddy Nyalian mastiff lopes in from the ether at the beck and call of
- his companion.
- Among the sparkling motes of light, a translucent figure appears in the air and then quickly solidifies
- as Soterasiel comes into view.
- Cheliyi sniffs the air while fluttering a cute little rabbit nose.
- Kennian waves a happy hello.
- Soterasiel tilts back his head and inhales deeply while twitching a wolf's snout.
- Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters thinks to herself: **pensive consideration, all the
- peoples awaking....**.
- Muffled laughter echoes from somewhere outside.
- Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides flashes the gathering citizens a warm smile as she pulls her
- mandolin over her torso, holding it to herself. She looks to Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer,
- expectant.
- Kennian tilts her head and listens intently to Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer.
- Cheliyi tilts her head curiously, her frills flaring with excitement. "What do you think we should do?"
- Soterasiel tilts back his head and inhales deeply while twitching a wolf's snout.
- (Celest): You say, "You coming, Falaine?"
- (Celest): Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer says, "We shall begin our discussion in person now, but if
- you would like to join us, there is still time!"
- Soterasiel Luminare says, "Should I go get her?"
- Soterasiel jerks slightly as the air fills with sparkling motes of bright light.
- You sense Falaine pulling on the strands of aether surrounding Soterasiel.
- Singing drifts in from outside, faintly muffled.
- Soterasiel Luminare says, "I think this might be her."
- Among the sparkling motes of light, a translucent figure appears in the air and then quickly solidifies
- as Falaine comes into view.
- Soterasiel's eyes sparkle with amusement.
- Soterasiel flashes Falaine a joyous smile.
- Cheliyi nods her head sagely.
- Soterasiel Luminare says, "Welcome."
- Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides smiles at Falaine with familiarity from beside Manchal, the
- Seafaring Aquamancer.
- Saluting crisply, Slakened Falaine, Novitiate of Purity says, "Lost in thought for a moment.
- Apologies."
- The Mantle of Starlight flows gently against your form, twinkling stars shifting across its surface as
- the starry infinity continues its eternal motion.
- In a rush of summery warmth, the rich smell of grasses and flowers rises around Cheliyi in a sultry
- wind. Briefly, her face is dappled with patterns of sunlight through waving grasses.
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer inclines his head briefly, unruffled, then turns his attention to
- encompass the gathering at large.
- Falaine turns to Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides and bows. "Canticle, good morning."
- A flash! Another! And another still! The storm clouds above shudder from the onslaught of lightning,
- their silvery down woven with hidden scripture illuminated from within.
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer clears his throat, looking from New Celest to the Thalassos. His
- words sound studious, prepared, like a teacher at a lectern. "Having spent some time studying the
- Thalassos and the sea essence," he says, "and having spent the month contemplating the news you have
- all brought me, I've come to several conclusions."
- Closing her eyes, Cheliyi aims her frills at Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer, the salmon-pink
- appendages twitching curiously. She seems to be listening intently.
- Muffled laughter echoes from somewhere outside.
- As though counting out the conclusions, Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer lightly taps the butt of his
- driftwood staff upon the floor. "First and foremost, and perhaps most obviously, there is much we still
- don't know. Are all the Thalassi you had mentioned the other month tied to the nascent Spirit? Are they
- all thus troubled? Our ultimate work and goal may perhaps be bigger than us alone, but we'll table that
- discussion for later."
- With another light tap of his staff, Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer says, "Secondly, and perhaps
- relatedly, we've heard news of the two communes turning back their storms with shamanic ritual. It is
- curious, is it not, that both sit on or near the Inner Sea and they did not calm the greater storm?
- What do you all make of that?"
- Muffled laughter echoes from somewhere outside.
- Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, you say, "Likely that they didn't have the power to push
- out past the boundaries of their respective forests. The seas simply aren't their domain."
- Kennian's usual bright smile disappears, swallowed up by a look of deep thought.
- Thoughtfully, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters murmurs, "Maybe they were able to create a
- bubble of safety, making the storm outside worse while making the inside nicer?"
- Singing drifts in from outside, faintly muffled.
- You ponder the situation.
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer nods slowly and appreciably, considering each point raised as he
- listens.
- Virescent lightning tears storm clouds into tatters as it arcs downward and strikes the top of Tonna
- Olearium Tower with fulminating sparks.
- Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides ponders the situation.
- Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, you say, "A combination of both, perhaps. Self-interest
- combined with a lack of immediate ability- perhaps if it had been easy, they might have done it, but
- felt no pressure to push things any further once their own interests were cared for."
- Singing drifts in from outside, faintly muffled.
- Frowning, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says, "Plus, they have minor spirits to assists,
- which I do not think are a match for the entire might of the Sister Sea Spirit."
- Falaine listens silently, settled into a position of watchful alertness facing the Thalassos and the
- speakers.
- Howling across the city streets, the storm's wind billows around you like the caress of a wave: furious
- at first, but then gentle in the next moment.
- Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides half-lids her single eye thoughtfully, her graceful steps leading
- her to the rim of the Thalassos, whose coral surface she brushes one hand against. "Indeed," she says
- softly. "I've not personally heard a single request for Aquamantic help directed at our city. Our
- Thalassos is perhaps not common knowledge itself, but our mages are famed and respected."
- Kennian smiles softly.
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer looks curiously to Cheliyi. "Their fae, do you mean?" he asks,
- genuinely inquisitive.
- Thoughtfully, Slakened Falaine, Novitiate of Purity says to Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides, "I
- imagine that the assumption was made that if we could help, we would, whether they asked or not."
- The waves chop over the surface of the Thalassos, nearly spilling white froth over the coral basin's
- rim.
- A brief smile tugging at the corners of her lips, Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides says, "As
- though we can read minds and know just what their plans might require for us to aid, I suppose."
- Two waves tumble into one another in an agitated dance, whipped into surf by the currents tugging below
- the surface within the Thalassos.
- Ducking beneath a nearby window ledge, a brown-furred rat shakes their bristled fur in an attempt to
- become dry once more. Having failed, they slink away into the nooks and crannies of the city.
- Gyorn utters a deep, rumbling laugh at Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides.
- Gyorn enthuses, "Sure!"
- You think to yourself: ... well, some of us can do that, but it doesn't help if they're not actively
- thinking about it while we're in the room.
- Duchess Kennian, Arm of Redress thinks to herself: Reading minds. That would be fun!
- With a short shake of her head and a rueful twitch of her lips, Slakened Falaine, Novitiate of Purity
- says, "I did not say it was a practical or intelligent assumption."
- A ruddy Nyalian mastiff paws at the ground absently, a low whine escaping his muzzle.
- Twin bolts of violet lightning feint and weave like duellists lunging at one another, their thrusts
- through the storm clouds leaving trails of scattered energy.
- Cheliyi nods to Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer. "My dear Velcora, she mentioned that the ritual in
- Serenwilde was done through the power of a bunch of river fae, yes. N... naiads, I thinks." She hums.
- "They asked less for the storm to stop, and more for Serenwilde to no longer be flooded. It resulted in
- a smaller storm, as well."
- Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, you say, "Another one of the problems is that weather
- manipulation on a large scale is very, very difficult for mortals. Just look at that whole Plaxios
- debacle..."
- Cheliyi winces in pain.
- Cheliyi nods her head at you, showing her acceptance.
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer leans forward on his driftwood staff, considering, and then nods
- toward Cheliyi. "I suppose that it makes sense for them," he muses, rubbing his chin. "Use the tools
- they have available to them." He nods agreement to you, then pensively straightens.
- Tapping his staff once more, wood thudding against tile, Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer says,
- "Thirdly, Tridemon had mentioned the Thalassic Aegis. While she may have been the only one to commune
- with this heart..." He pauses, gesturing toward the Thalassos. "...in the past, I do think we may,
- together, connect to it today with some effect, thanks to the work you have all done to help soothe the
- worst of its troubled waters."
- "We must together, if we do this at all," Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer says softly, "for as a new
- friend said to me recently, stars might shine brightly all on their own, but together in all their
- sizes and their strengths, they create something bigger."
- Gyorn nods his head emphatically.
- Cheliyi blinks slowly, adjusting her tinted spectacles. "How do we reach outs, then?"
- Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters thinks to herself: ... was that Miss Vaevaya? Hm...
- Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides slides her hand along the basin's rim as she looks up to Manchal,
- the Seafaring Aquamancer's words, and smiles before looking to the rest of the gathering. "We are
- treading uncharted waters," she says, her hand still resting there, "but we have already touched it, in
- a way, the previous month. With song and with focused aquamantic ritual."
- Her fingers curling where they rest, Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides says, "The unknown had never
- halted Saint Loathys's steps. We must do the same and have faith that we are capable of doing great
- things, for the Light." She pauses, somewhat bashful as her eye slides back to Manchal with an
- acknowledging, "However, I don't think we should move from crawling into diving deep just yet."
- (Celestial Gathering): Gyorn says, "Ahh. Okay."
- Cheliyi shifts in place, before glancing askance at a wistful weeping willow lyre sticking out of her
- pack. "Well, do knows what has limited success. Just build on it, rights?"
- The Mantle of Starlight shimmers and twinkles as the starlit darkness that it is formed of continues
- its eternal motion.
- With a nod toward Cheliyi, one of her curls falling free to rest against her cheek, Zeasha Novikei,
- Canticle of the Tides says, "As Manchal said before, our work may ultimately be much greater than what
- we are capable of today. It is my opinion - our opinion - and I hope your opinions as well - that we do
- what we can to soothe the sea's outward pain, fury, and its effects upon our drowning city."
- Gyorn La'Saet says, "Oh, of course."
- Kennian nods her head in agreement.
- Gyorn La'Saet says, "I was there when was awakened.. so much pain."
- Gyorn La'Saet says, "They."
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer muses softly, more to himself than to the gathering, "I should like
- to see the other Thalassi eventually, but again - greater work for more people. ...Perhaps saved for
- when we know whether what we do here might have an effect."
- Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides's expression softens as she nods to Gyorn. "I can only imagine,"
- she murmurs. "Even from here, she seemed in terrible distress..."
- Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, you say, "One of them is in the depths of the Sea of
- Despair, so I recommend not going alone if you end up making the trip."
- Gyorn La'Saet says, "Was terrible. But we were powerless to stop it, so I am eager to do what I can to
- help."
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer opens his mouth to say something to you, then pauses, and clears his
- throat. "Certainly for another month, then. I'd hate for us to make the journey while we are recovering
- from our hopefully successful efforts here."
- Muginn shakes out his feathers, the plumes suddenly glowing with an ethereal haze. Ripples of mist pool
- at his talons, writhing with silent, screaming faces that leave hoar-frost in their wake.
- Cheliyi pulls out her lyre while humming thoughtfully, glancing down at the Thalassos's churning
- waters. "Mm. So... a song and a ritual. Would a lullaby be too on the noses?"
- Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides flashes Cheliyi a smile. "No indeed - we shall not do what the
- Gods could not, of course, but certainly such songs are soothing, are they not?"
- Cheliyi smiles wryly at Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides.
- Pale gold in hue, the wreath about Gyorn's brow shimmers in a steady pattern, like unto a heartbeat in
- its gentle pulsations, and crowns Gyorn in a flickering halo before settling still once more.
- Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters thinks to herself: ... no Cantors...
- Tilting her head, Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides says, "I would be honoured to join any other
- musically inclined individuals in weaving a lullaby. I am certain our Aquamancers can guide those more
- magically inclined in ritual."
- Muffled laughter echoes from somewhere outside.
- The Mantle of Starlight shimmers and twinkles as the starlit darkness that it is formed of continues
- its eternal motion.
- Smiling, Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides says, "I am certain our paladins and monks have reserves
- with which to join our mages as well, but have you other ideas you would like to try?"
- Aquamantic symbols suddenly project themselves upon the very air in dark blue light, fading after a
- brief moment.
- Twin bolts of violet lightning feint and weave like duellists lunging at one another, their thrusts
- through the storm clouds leaving trails of scattered energy.
- Kennian giggles nervously before looking toward the other more experienced Aquamancers.
- Cheliyi grimaces. "I yam... not a Cantor's, but have been practicing my lyre for funs? Wish we had
- someone more qualified, but can help as best as I can. Can also... sing."
- The soft lambency of passing hummingbirds filters in from outside, shedding light on a dark night.
- Tau the Twilit has left the realm of Lusternia.
- Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides smiles at Cheliyi, and as she begins to settle herself into a
- seat upon the tiles with her mandolin in her lap, she gestures for her to join her. "Who knows what
- might awaken within you," she winks - blinks, really, "with some inspiration and practice?"
- A ruddy Nyalian mastiff paws at the ground absently, a low whine escaping his muzzle.
- Gyorn pets a ruddy Nyalian mastiff sporting bronze platemail etched with sigils ingratiatingly.
- A ruddy Nyalian mastiff playfully snarls at Gyorn, baring perfectly white teeth and then his lolling
- pink tongue.
- Kennian looks to her pup and then flashes Gyorn her customary wide smile before returning her attention
- to the group.
- The soft lambency of passing hummingbirds filters in from outside, shedding light on a dark night.
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer gestures for Gyorn, you, and Kennian to join him with a motion of his
- driftwood staff, striding with a self-assured pace toward the Thalassos. "Falaine, Soterasiel, you are
- both welcome to join us here as well. I have an idea, based upon a vision I had witnessed long ago and
- our work last month."
- Soterasiel Luminare says, "I will do my best to help."
- Cheliyi offers a sheepish grin, settling beside Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides on the ground.
- She rest her hand lightly on the stings, glancing expectantly at the remaining crowd.
- Cheliyi begins to wield a wistful weeping willow lyre in her right hand.
- Gyorn moves hesitantly over to join Manchal by the Thalassos.
- Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides smiles reassuringly at Cheliyi, then turns her attention toward
- tuning her mandolin, testing its notes against a quiet, practiced hum.
- Soterasiel strides towards the Thalassos with a smile and looks at it, "So what do I do?"
- Falaine glances back and forth between where Cheliyi sits with her lyre and over to where the others
- stand, wavering for a long moment in indecision.
- Kennian nods in the direction of Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer before striding forward with a
- forced confidence near the Thalassos. She holds her head high, her nerves only betrayed by the lack of
- her usual smile.
- The soft lambency of passing hummingbirds filters in from outside, shedding light on a dark night.
- Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides's eye looks up to Falaine, pausing before a smile splits across
- her face. "Do you sing or play as well, Slakened Falaine?"
- Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters thinks to herself: **deep unease, you've sung in front of
- a crowd, but that was for the Wyrd... no, there will be no shadows here.**.
- Muginn ruffles his feathers, stirring up puffs of fog.
- The soft lambency of passing hummingbirds filters in from outside, shedding light on a dark night.
- After a long moment, Falaine turns slowly and walks over to Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides, her
- face tinting a deep indigo around the cheekbones. "I.. sometimes sing," she admits in an embarrassed
- voice. "And can play a couple of instruments, though I've none with me now."
- A blinding golden light bursts from the sky above the Plaxios Laboratory, and a vast column of swirling
- energy lances across the southern reaches of the Basin, striking first the high antennae of the Tainted
- Broadcasting Center before ricocheting northward to strike the slopes of Avechna's Teeth and Avechnas
- peak, and finally jetting upward to disappear into the dark stormclouds looming above Hallifax.
- Cheliyi blinks, surprised, before smiling brilliantly up at Falaine. "Oh! Am sure it is amazing, yes.
- Are always good at what you put your mind to, Miss Falaine."
- Cheliyi blinks.
- You blink.
- Duchess Kennian, Arm of Redress whispers, "The scientists are at it."
- Gyorn La'Saet says, "Oh wow, guess Hallifax is working on something sinilar."
- Slowly, Slakened Falaine, Novitiate of Purity says to Cheliyi, "If you play... I know a few appropriate
- lullabies."
- Gyorn La'Saet says, "Similar too."
- You have emoted: Tridemon looks out toward the west, though the underground nature of the locale
- prevents a clear view.
- You think to yourself: Speaking of Plaxios...
- Cheliyi smiles wryly at you.
- For several long moments, nothing happens, the faint afterimage of the beam the only evidence of its
- passage. Suddenly, a second burst of golden light pierces through the stormclouds, and, for the first
- time in months, it is not rain that falls from the firmament but sparkling golden motes of magic.
- Slowly, the eternal gloom that has plagued Hallifax lightens to a pale grey, thin shafts of moonlight
- and glimmering stars finally peeking through the clouds.
- As the musicians settle in, Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer turns toward the rest of the group.
- "Music has a remarkable effect on the spirit," he says with a wry grin, "but I must leave such things
- to those with a deeper affinity for it. For us, when we begin, I will want us to focus our efforts
- collectively, and chant. A joined and united purpose is very important." He pauses, contemplative.
- Cheliyi nods her head at Falaine.
- Kennian grips her staff in both hands, before whispering "Perhaps between both nations we can make an
- impact."
- It is now the 1st of Shanthin, 595 years after the Coming of Estarra.
- Aural Tildarmin yells, "Hail to the Dragonslayer, St. Hamos! Glory to New Celest which repels dragon
- and the Taint alike! Praise be the Light!"
- Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters thinks to herself: **relief, Miss Falaine will sing
- instead.**.
- "Perhaps indeed," Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides suggests, her smile growing broader still,
- practically giddy with excitement. She turns her attention to Falaine and Cheliyi, nodding approvingly
- to the former before telling the latter, "If you lead, I will follow and support."
- The stormclouds above Plaxios grow darker yet, and bolts of violet lightning flash across the
- firmament.
- Distant and muffled voices filter in from outside.
- "Ah," Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer murmurs, "perhaps we grew excited far too soon."
- Kennian giggles happily, the excitement infectious and helping to restore her spirits.
- Cheliyi's fingers twitch, and she nods firmly. "I can begins whenever, yes. What do the Aquamancers
- gotta dos?"
- Cheliyi purses her lips pensively, gazing off into the distance as she carefully gathers her thoughts.
- Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, you say, "Essentially anything involving that place is a
- debacle by default."
- A wry smile spreads across Gyorn's face.
- Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters thinks to herself: Moving the storm indeeds...
- Duchess Kennian, Arm of Redress thinks to herself: We make the water dance to the music!
- Cheliyi's mauve frills twitch to some errant sound.
- Cheliyi smiles brightly at Kennian, her frills puffing with joy.
- Kennian beams broadly at Cheliyi.
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer nods his agreement toward you and Gyorn, then motions toward his
- group of four. "First, before the words, let us consider our focus."
- Cheliyi peers around herself, and not-so-subtly sticks her hand in her amphora, pulling out a chunk of
- mist that shapes into a butterfly. It flits across the room with merry cheer, before landing and
- poofing on Kennian's nose.
- Falaine settles to the ground by Cheliyi and Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides a bit stiffly,
- looking somewhat incongrous in her bright plate with crossed legs upon the ground. To Cheliyi, she
- says, "I will join in when you begin playing, so that I know what tune to sing the words to."
- Kennian turns her attention back to Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer, listening carefully to the
- instruction.
- The corners of Cheliyi's mouth turn up as she grins mischievously.
- Howling across the city streets, the storm's wind billows around you like the caress of a wave: furious
- at first, but then gentle in the next moment.
- Cheliyi pauses and blushes.
- Pushing his spectacles up his nose, Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer says, "We are united and agreed,
- indeed, that for now, for this rite, we are focusing on soothing the storms over New Celest. We will
- channel our energies and work our magics together with the Thalassos, to sway the heart to hear our
- will." He hesitates. "With how troubled the Spirit of the Sea did seem, I hesitate to force anything,
- but we *will* need firmness in our address."
- Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters thinks to herself: Ohwaithe'swaitingformeokayaaaaaa.
- Soterasiel shimmers with incandescent energy as the images of the Nine Seals blaze into existence along
- his arms. After a long moment they fade, though his eyes blaze with light for some time after.
- Soterasiel Luminare says, "So we're just talking to the Spirit?"
- Gyorn nods his head at Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer.
- Slakened Falaine, Novitiate of Purity thinks to herself: And while they provide firmness, we will
- provide comfort. Both, vital.
- Cheliyi's mauve frills twitch to some errant sound.
- Cheliyi smiles softly at Falaine.
- Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, you say, "Perhaps a tone similar to an elder sibling
- attempting to get a younger one to do what their parents have said needs to be done?"
- Cheliyi nods her head sagely.
- Falaine glances at Cheliyi, then away, her cheeks darkening still further beneath the translucent metal
- scales.
- Cheliyi gives Falaine a friendly squeeze.
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer shakes his head toward Soterasiel, clarifying, "The Spirit herself is
- greater than the Inner Sea alone, and I am uncertain just how joined together the Thalassos is with the
- Spirit, but I still urge caution for that reason."
- Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters whispers to
- Falaine, "Gonna do greats."
- With a thunderous roar of rushing water and crashing lightning, the skies open up over the Plaxios
- Laboratory. The cacophony of the downpour combines with the cracking of the mountainside as the entire
- western cliff face gives way, releasing the glacial lake from its earthen bounds.
- With a glance of confirmation toward Tridemon, Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer says, "The Thalassos
- seems affected now, but it was not immediately so, after all."
- You stare blankly into space.
- Soterasiel Luminare says, "What is her name?"
- Kennian cringes slightly at the loud roar.
- Gyorn's eyes widen in disbelief as he softly exclaims, "Whoa."
- Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides nods encouragingly toward Falaine and Cheliyi, cradling her
- mandolin to herself as she otherwise quietly listens and quietly prepares.
- Cheliyi stares blankly into space.
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer opens his mouth as if to say something, but pauses.
- Odethi Plaxios shouts, "This is but a minor setback! I have learned SO VERY MUCH! I shall return, and
- it will be GLORIOUS!"
- Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says, "... did
- they just-."
- Soterasiel Luminare says, "Or do we just call the spirit Spirit?"
- Duchess Kennian, Arm of Redress says, "Perhaps... perhaps we should begin."
- Cheliyi stares blankly into space.
- Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says, "...
- hopefully, we will -not- break an entire mountains."
- Shaking himself out of his momentarily external concern and redirecting his focus to the chamber
- itself, Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer says, "I must insist that we do not."
- Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, you say, "The Great Spirits don't really have given names,
- I don't think. Like Night or Moon or Sun..."
- Steel clashes loudly amid hoarse battle cries as Zagreus roars, "When you return, be sure to fix your
- weather machine finally."
- Soterasiel looks about himself, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.
- Thalafir Oakvine shouts, "You insane harpy! You have destroyed everything! Whereever you go, I will
- hunt you down and make sure your experiments never succeed!"
- Soterasiel Luminare says, "Well if we are trying to make her happy it doesn't seem right to not call
- her something."
- With crushing force, an indomitable wall of water races across the entire valley, crushing crystalline
- spires and towering trees alike. As the wave strikes the eastern mountainside, untold tons of water
- crash over the Razines into the Basin proper before settling back. An eerie silence falls over the
- valley, broken only by the eternal rumbling of the storms.
- Soterasiel looks about himself, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.
- Soterasiel Luminare says, "Or does anyone know why she's upset?"
- The waters of the Thalassos still for but a moment, revealing a glimpse of clear waters in its depths
- before the surface is troubled anew.
- Soterasiel flashes the Thalassos a joyous smile.
- "Right," Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer says to himself, then rolls his shoulders and stores his
- driftwood staff at his back. "Right," he repeats, softer still, "focus." Louder, as he places his hands
- upon the Thalassos, he looks from side to side. "To my understanding," he says to Soterasiel, "which is
- admittedly lacking - she was Awakened horribly incorrectly."
- Soterasiel Luminare says to the Thalassos, "See, look at that peaceful water down there. She clearly
- doesn't always wish to be so worked up."
- Soterasiel creases his brow in a frown.
- Soterasiel Luminare says to the Thalassos, "Then it isn't your fault at all is it my dear? You're only
- doing what you can with what you have."
- Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says, "...
- hm."
- Soterasiel Luminare smiles and says to the Thalassos, "There is a lot of water, but your storms are
- rather beautiful. In that regard I think you are doing a wonderful job."
- His hands still curled around the rim of the basin, Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer says, "I will be
- chanting the following words for the ritual - you may join me with them if you find them a useful
- focus, or you may chant other words entirely, or you may conduct your work in silence if that is
- preferred."
- Muffled laughter echoes from somewhere outside.
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer chants by demonstration, without the stirring of magic to back his
- words, "O storm and sea, we call to thee. By tide and swell, your rage we quell."
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer chants by demonstration, without the stirring of magic to back his
- words, "Your currents fierce we turn aside. To calm, to soothe, we turn your tide."
- Soterasiel Luminare whispers to the Thalassos, "I know things have been hard on you, but help us and we
- can make things better. I promise."
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer quiets, allowing the words to echo within the chamber, then tilts his
- head as he regards the others gathered around the Thalassos. "Would you like a moment to prepare your
- thoughts and words, or do you think you feel ready to begin?"
- Singing drifts in from outside, faintly muffled.
- Gyorn La'Saet says, "I am ready, I think."
- You think to yourself: ... I'm not entirely certain that Soterasiel knows the difference between the
- Thalassos and Spirit Sea, but I'm not going to correct him.
- Darach Tylwyth Ebonrose, Lord of Titles shouts, "Where is Plaxios?"
- Soterasiel Luminare says, "I'm ready, just remember to be nice everyone. I'm sure she's just scared and
- confused. It's a lot to have happen at the start of your life after all."
- Duchess Kennian, Arm of Redress says, "Ready as I'll ever be!"
- An array of stunning colours briefly suffuses the sky as Ashira's voice proclaims, "Flooded."
- You have emoted: Tridemon nods, shifting his grip on his staff about three inches upward.
- Soterasiel smiles softly.
- The brim of Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer's hat bobs with his head as he nods, then looks over to
- the musicians. "Ready, friends?"
- Cheliyi listens carefully, before her attention drifts once more to her lyre. Exhaling softly, she
- shifts in place to better hold her lyre. Gently, she begins to pluck at the upper strings, like the
- sound of gentle rain tapping on stone. She glances expectantly at Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer,
- and then Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides, humming in harmony with her playing.
- Muffled laughter echoes from somewhere outside.
- Kennian grips her staff firmly in her right hand as she lays her left very delicately on the Thalassos.
- She closes her eyes and exhales, preparing her thoughts and shifting her focus.
- Gyorn concentrates on projecting calming thoughts at the Thalassos.
- Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides picks up Cheliyi's harmony with a smile of affirmation to
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer, her practiced fingers sliding effortlessly over her instrument's
- many strings. What she works is soothing, low, like a late summer's eve and the first twinkling of
- starlight peeking out across the blanket of night.
- Muffled laughter echoes from somewhere outside.
- The waters within the Thalassos quietly churn, whispers of sadness laden in the briny air.
- Soterasiel reaches out and presses his hands against the Thalassos while smiling softly, "It's okay
- little one. Just take a deep breath and come here and lets get everything sorted out."
- Aquamantic symbols suddenly project themselves upon the very air in dark blue light, fading after a
- brief moment.
- Soterasiel Luminare says, "It's okay little one, I know it's not fair or right. It's not your fault at
- all."
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer nods, then tightens his grip around the rim of the Thalassos. "Let us
- begin in earnest," he says, then exhales in one weighty pause. His eyes fixed upon the waters' troubled
- surface, he begins to channel his magic with the others gathered, threads of aquamarine glowing along
- his arms, to his hands, to thread along the rippling waves.
- You have emoted: Tridemon's right eye takes on new color, a blue-green hue that fills it as if seawater
- were flowing into it.
- Kennian sways softly with the music as she begins to chant under her breath. The words are nearly
- inaudible but the tone is loving and kind.
- Ear fins flared to catch the sound of lyre and mandolin, Falaine lets the music pas her once, then
- twice, then joins in on the third round of notes. "Now listen to me, little sea, little sea, yes the
- moon's rising high in the sky..." the paladin sings, her voice husky and sweet, like honey in embers,
- quiet at first with self-consciousness, but building in confidence as the words go on. "The stars
- glitter bright, you send back their sweet light, as the wind plays a soft lullaby..."
- Singing drifts in from outside, faintly muffled.
- The waters of the Thalassos stir, rippling waves licking higher as it begins to answer the gradual
- working of magic and music in kind - troubled, agitated, tossing and turning and splashing nearby
- fingers and tops.
- Gyorn follows Manchal's example and channels his own magic toward the Thalassos.
- Soterasiel presses his hands deeper into the Thalassos, "It's okay to be upset and scared. Just come
- here and listen to the pretty song these nice Sisters will play for you."
- Soterasiel's mouth turns up as his face breaks into a smile.
- Quietly, steadily, Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer's chanting begins to rise upon words as low as the
- benthic depths of the sea, as quiet and inexorable as the deepest tides. "O storm and sea, we call to
- thee."
- Pale gold in hue, the wreath about Gyorn's brow shimmers in a steady pattern, like unto a heartbeat in
- its gentle pulsations, and crowns Gyorn in a flickering halo before settling still once more.
- Gyorn chants softly, under his breath, channeling calming magic.
- Kennian issues a soft giggle of excitement, allowing her magic to channel through her. She focuses on
- joyful healing energy as her chant becomes emboldened by the music and grows slightly in volume.
- Duchess Kennian, Arm of Redress chants, "O storm and sea, we call to thee. By tide and swell, your rage
- we quell."
- Cheliyi's frills twitch as she listens intently to Falaine's words, occasionally strumming soft chords
- reminiscent of waves creeping up a shore. Her humming grows softer as the merian paladin's own rises,
- falling into a comfortable balance of sound.
- "By tide and swell, your rage we quell," Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer chants with Kennian, his
- voice rolling currents, quieter than Falaine's lullaby, than Soterasiel's soothing words, but no less
- soft.
- Soterasiel strokes his hands back and forth gently within the moving waters of the Thalassos. "Don't be
- scared little one, just come and listen for a bit with us."
- Duchess Kennian, Arm of Redress chants, "Your currents fierce we turn aside. To calm, to soothe, we
- turn your tide."
- Aquamantic symbols suddenly project themselves upon the very air in dark blue light, fading after a
- brief moment.
- Like pinpricks of starlight do Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides's notes pluck from her mandolin,
- low and coruscating with the lapping of Cheliyi's waves, like the light that brushes their crests -
- highlighting the beauty already therein, complementing it.
- Singing drifts in from outside, faintly muffled.
- You have emoted: Tridemon stands in silence, his magic perhaps a touch less precise than Manchal's as
- he assists in the working, the feeling of both warm currents and icy depths following the flows.
- Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters thinks to herself: **a sudden swell of pride, that's your
- dad, so amazing s...**.
- A flash! Another! And another still! The storm clouds above shudder from the onslaught of lightning,
- their silvery down woven with hidden scripture illuminated from within.
- Kennian shivers softly as the water within the Thalassos brushes over her fingertips on the edge. Her
- usual happy smile overtakes her face again as she continues to channel her calm healing energy through
- her magic.
- With Kennian, Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer chants firmly, pouring aquamarine energy into the
- Thalassos and drawing it back, working with its depths as though he were a sea's current himself,
- moving with precision alongside your more intuitive work. "Your currents fierce we turn aside. To calm,
- to soothe, we turn your tide."
- Glancing over at Cheliyi for a bare moment before looking away, over at the Thalassos , the words of
- the lullaby coming in time with the lyre, though perhaps a touch unsteady despite the smooth-soft
- voice, soothing and low. "It's time to calm down, deep sea, deep sea, for the storm is so terribly
- dark.. we must circle the light, listen to us tonight, while we sing our old songs to the stars,"
- Duchess Kennian, Arm of Redress chants, "O storm and sea, we call to thee. By tide and swell, your rage
- we quell."
- Duchess Kennian, Arm of Redress chants, "Your currents fierce we turn aside. To calm, to soothe, we
- turn your tide."
- The cool currents and the warm - both churn within the Thalassos as the Aquamancers and Celestine work,
- shifting in tune to the soothing music from the three musicians. The rippling waves hesitate, smoothing
- before rippling again, the waves building larger, and larger...
- Soterasiel smiles softly.
- Closing her eyes now, tuning out all but the sound of Cheliyi's lyre, Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the
- Tides's mandolin, and the watery call of rain and sea, Falaine continues, her voice strangely maternal
- in its gentle roughness. "Tt's time to dream sweet, hurting sea, hurting sea, for your place in our
- world is so dear. Look onward, look far: find your own chosen star, and imagine it down with you here."
- Seawolves and dragon turtles attempt to erupt in combat across the Inner Sea and Sea of Despair, but
- both their numbers are too few. The battle ends before it even began.
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer looks briefly to his sides, sucking in a deep breath before staring
- more fiercely through his water-splashed spectacles into the water's surface. "O storm and sea, we call
- to thee! By tide and swell, your rage we quell!"
- Soterasiel Luminare whispers, "That's it little one, it's okay."
- Cheliyi's expression softens as Falaine lulls the Thalassos with her song, her own playing growing
- slower and sliding to the lower strings. As if the creeping wave were receding and pulling back from
- the starry shore, she strums a descending scale.
- Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides bolsters Falaine's low, rough gentleness with her mandolin's
- deeper notes, their music joined with Cheliyi's lyre rippling over the chanting. She draws a breath,
- sweat beading upon her singular brow, wetting her hairline as she concentrates and plays.
- You have emoted: Tridemon continues concentrating wordlessly, his magic building up higher, the color
- in his eye growing deeper, the currents of his magic running faster and colder, with the vague sound of
- a rushing underwater current audible for half a moment.
- Gyorn continues to project calming magic toward the Thalassos.
- Singing drifts in from outside, faintly muffled.
- Soterasiel Luminare whispers, "I just want to meet the maker of such beautiful lightning and thank her
- for showing me something so wonderful."
- Falaine matches the slower speed, earnest and kind, though far from dulcet as she sings the last lines
- of the lullaby. "We reach out to you, crying sea, crying sea, with the comfort of love in our hearts..
- Lay your heartache down, let Light's balm abound, and let your dark dreams come apart.."
- ... and then the waves die down, subsiding into gentler currents that stir in harmony with the
- communion of those around it. It shifts, churning with the magics worked, receptive and responsive.
- Soterasiel beams broadly.
- Soterasiel Luminare smiles and says, "Such a good job."
- Cheliyi strums two strings an octave apart, letting them hang in the air as the lullaby finally comes
- to a close.
- Muffled laughter echoes from somewhere outside.
- Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters thinks to herself: ... my fingertips hurt.
- Kennian relaxes her posture only slightly as her chanting ends. She continues to channel a clam healing
- energy toward the Thalassos.
- "Yes," Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer whispers, staring into what reflections finally peer back up
- from the Thalassos's newly untroubled depths. He closes his eyes, and whispers, "Concentrate, everyone.
- Urge the Sea to hear us. To heed us. To calm the storms over the city. It listens."
- Gyorn La'Saet chants, "We ask you to hear, please calm the storms over our fair city."
- Soterasiel continues to stroke his hands through the Thalassos, "Little one, you have shown us such
- beautiful wonders dancing through the heavens, but you need to rest also and let yourself see the world
- around you."
- Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides closes her eye, sweat still clammy upon her brow, vagrant curls
- of hair slicking to her cheeks. Her mandolin's notes linger with ponderous grace, slow to fade.
- Gently, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters murmurs, "Sister Sea? I know, the world is
- terrifying right nows. It makes sense, to storm and rage when everything seems so terrible. But really,
- it isn't so. The Basin, it can be wonderfuls, yes. Please, calm over Celest. Maybe we can show you! Can
- sing you as many lullabies and songs as you want, evens."
- Soterasiel Luminare says, "All your sibling Spirits you can meet, and all the various Shards that you
- could see for yourself."
- Virescent lightning tears storm clouds into tatters as it arcs downward and strikes the top of Whelk
- Tower with fulminating sparks.
- Less a chant and more a whisper beneath the words of others, Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer murmurs
- as he focuses, "Your currents fierce we turn aside. To calm, to soothe, we turn your tide."
- You have emoted: Tridemon lets the tone and temperature of his magic settle, no less intense, but
- warmer and slower. No longer demanding attention, but firmly suggesting a sense of calmness throughout.
- Soterasiel watches the lightning with a smile.
- Falaine says nothing more, having fallen silent in wake of the song, but sanctifying energies ripple
- around her hands where they lay flat upon the earth, her eyes closing as she contemplates and focuses.
- A flash! Another! And another still! The storm clouds above shudder from the onslaught of lightning,
- their silvery down woven with hidden scripture illuminated from within.
- Kennian whispers kind and loving words. She thinks of the happiness she feels in the park, or in the
- Fortress library, or playing with her star-friend and concentrates on sharing that emotion through her
- magic.
- Soterasiel Luminare smiles and says, "Maybe we could even show you different places and you could pick
- an area that you want to keep shrouded in storms, that way you can play with your lightning whenever
- you like!"
- Softly, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says, "We want to help find you, Sister Sea. Help
- you feel calm and safe. But Celest must be clear, if we can focus on finding you. Do not want you to be
- alone, and if you help us, we can better help you, I thinks."
- As though heeding your whispers, your music, your pleas to the Thalassos, lightning thrashes across the
- skies, but thinner now, the darkness of the storms choking the city skies beginning to gray, to thin.
- Slakened Falaine, Novitiate of Purity thinks to herself: [The Thalassos, as vivid in her mind's eye as
- it would be in her physical eyes. She focuses upon it, sending waves of gentle reassurance as her
- natural aura of protectiveness manifests as a shield around the essence of the sea within].
- Soterasiel beams broadly.
- The soft lambency of passing hummingbirds filters in from outside, shedding light on a dark night.
- Lightning cracks across the skies of New Celest one last time. Riding upon a gentle sigh of briny wind,
- as well as a current of Aquamantic energies which reverberate from the heart of the city, the cloud
- cover begins to thin and retreat, allowing a beautiful splash of sunset to bathe the city in its glow
- once more.
- The Mantle of Starlight shimmers and twinkles as the starlit darkness that it is formed of continues
- its eternal motion.
- Soterasiel Luminare whispers, "I knew someone that made such pretty storms would be nice."
- Aquamantic symbols suddenly project themselves upon the very air in dark blue light, fading after a
- brief moment.
- Cheliyi visibly brightens, her frills flaring with joy as she glances up the stairs.
- Soterasiel Luminare says, "She's such a sweet Spirit."
- Softly, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters whispers, "Thank you."
- Soterasiel Luminare says, "No one can paint so beautifully and be mean."
- Gyorn jerks slightly as the air fills with sparkling motes of bright light.
- You sense Tylwyth pulling on the strands of aether surrounding Gyorn.
- Soterasiel tilts back his head and inhales deeply while twitching a wolf's snout.
- For a long time, Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer doesn't open his eyes. He lingers where he is,
- fingers still clenched around the Thalassos's rim as though scarcely daring to believe it might be
- over.
- Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters thinks to herself: **a swell of joy, Dad will see
- sunlight, good, good ..**.
- Soterasiel Luminare smiles and says to the Thalassos, "Thank you little one. Truly. If you need
- anything at all, we are happy to help any time."
- For her part, Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides opens her one eye, the smile upon her lips fading
- when she sees Tylwyth. "You tread upon Sanctified grounds," she says coolly.
- You have emoted: Tridemon slowly releases the magic, like the tide going out, the oceanic colors
- draining from his right eye as he lets out a breath.
- Softly, Darach Tylwyth Ebonrose, Lord of Titles says, "So do you."
- Tylwyth strikes a pose.
- You sense the sweeping gaze of Fillirriqili looking upon you.
- Softly, Darach Tylwyth Ebonrose, Lord of Titles says, "I am flying."
- Kennian murmurs softly, her eyes opening to stare at the water in the Thalassos.
- Softly, Darach Tylwyth Ebonrose, Lord of Titles says, "So you're the only one really treading here."
- Cheliyi pauses, and stares at Tylwyth. "You're not a light person's, Mister Tylwyth."
- Cheliyi rolls her eyes.
- Soterasiel Luminare says to Tylwyth, "Please be respectful while you are here."
- Softly, Darach Tylwyth Ebonrose, Lord of Titles says, "I only way like a pound."
- Softly, Darach Tylwyth Ebonrose, Lord of Titles says, "I am very light."
- Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, you say to Tylwyth, "You are, in fact, indoors. And in the
- middle of one of the Sanctifier's guildhall, in fact."
- Falaine climbs to her feet slowly, advancing to just before Tylwyth. "Do you need something in the Hall
- of the Sancifiers, wyrden one?"
- Cheliyi mutters under her breathe and begins to rummage through her bag.
- Soterasiel tilts back his head and inhales deeply while twitching a wolf's snout.
- Softly, Darach Tylwyth Ebonrose, Lord of Titles says, "Yes."
- Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides's eye fixes upon Tylwyth, her coolness turning to icy fire, her
- fingers gripping her mandolin. "I ask you to leave."
- Gyorn stretches out his hand, intently focused as he murmurs ancient words of power. Sprays of ocean
- mist and surges of seawater accompany the ascent of a towering glacier as it rises to dominate the area
- at his behest.
- Softly, Darach Tylwyth Ebonrose, Lord of Titles says, "I need to know another valley's not going ot
- flood."
- Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters murmurs,
- "Where are my gusty things."
- Falaine narrows her eyes at Tylwyth in an unnerving manner.
- Gyorn La'Saet says, "Leave."
- Softly, Darach Tylwyth Ebonrose, Lord of Titles says, "Since one just DID flood."
- Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says to
- Tylwyth, "Don't gotta know a things. Get out."
- Kennian continues to focus even harder on kind healing energy, given the flux in the room.
- Soterasiel Luminare says to Tylwyth, "You do not need to intrude. Leave, as you are currently violating
- several laws."
- Softly, Darach Tylwyth Ebonrose, Lord of Titles says, "Well."
- Softly, Darach Tylwyth Ebonrose, Lord of Titles says, "That was rude."
- Slakened Falaine, Novitiate of Purity says, "So is trespass."
- Softly, Darach Tylwyth Ebonrose, Lord of Titles says, "Rudeness will be remembred."
- Cheliyi rolls her eyes.
- Soterasiel's eyes sparkle with amusement.
- Gyorn sniffs the air while twitching a striped badger nose.
- Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, you say, "... right then."
- You drop a monolith sigil.
- Gyorn La'Saet says, "He is still in."
- Soterasiel tilts back his head and inhales deeply while twitching a wolf's snout.
- Cheliyi sniffs the air while fluttering a cute little rabbit nose.
- Soterasiel Luminare says, "Not anymore."
- Soterasiel tilts back his head and inhales deeply while twitching a wolf's snout.
- Gyorn nods his head emphatically.
- Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters mutters,
- "Arse."
- Gyorn faces the shimmering glacier and closes his outstretched fist, the glacier shuddering and
- dissolving to his will.
- Gyorn beams elatedly and proffers a chipper "Yep!" to signify his input on the matter.
- Cheliyi closes her eyes and inhales deeply, absorbing the scent of her surroundings.
- Gyorn La'Saet says, "Anyway."
- Slakened Falaine, Novitiate of Purity thinks to herself: Imagine inviting yourself to another city's
- guildhall and then being offended at being asked politely to leave.
- Cheliyi exhales slowly, allowing a long fluid breath to creep from her lungs.
- Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides's iciness thaws with a sag of her shoulders, though her fingers
- still clutch protectively at her mandolin.
- Soterasiel turns back and strokes his fingers through the Thalassos, "You see that? Even shards have a
- hard time getting along with other shards, so no one would ever try to blame you for being confused
- with everything going on at once."
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer's eyes had, in fact, opened during the fuss, and in silence he
- watches the wyrden intruder leave. And then he clears his throat, somewhat awkwardly. "We need not let
- the wyrden one spoil our success. After all..."
- Duchess Kennian, Arm of Redress thinks to herself: Should be made an enemy.
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer claps his hands once, the sound filling the chamber with its
- suddenness. "We have together just done what has not been done in... in... who can say how long!"
- (Celest): Lidon says, "Salutations fair city!"
- Cheliyi nods her head sagely.
- Soterasiel beams broadly.
- (Celestial Gathering): Soterasiel says, "Dubbed."
- Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says, "It -was
- - really cools, yes."
- Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides softens before Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer's enthusiasm,
- its contagiousness tugging her lips into a slow but brilliant smile. She draws herself to her slippered
- feet and slings her mandolin over her shoulder, nodding her agreement as she brushes her fingertips
- against the Thalassos.
- Soterasiel Luminare says to the Thalassos, "I'm going to call you Lissea, because I'm not sure it's
- polite to keep saying little one all the time, and I think it seems as pretty as your storms.""
- Soterasiel's mouth turns up as his face breaks into a smile.
- Gyorn blinks.
- Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says, "... uh.
- Mister Soterasiel..."
- Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says, "That's
- not..."
- Cheliyi glances askance at you.
- Eventually, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says, "A bad idea. Nicely name, yes."
- Fingertips lingering as she speaks to herself, Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides says, "What a
- blessed day this is." Her fingers curl, not tightly but with some firmness, around the Thalassos' lip.
- "Imagine what we might be able to accomplish with greater preparation, greater displays of faith..."
- Soterasiel raises an eyebrow questioningly.
- It is now the 2nd of Shanthin, 595 years after the Coming of Estarra.
- Beads of sweat break out on Cheliyi's face.
- Aural Tildarmin yells, "Glory be to New Celest, the City of Light! Within these walls reside the
- Sanctifiers of St. Loathys, the Magisterium of the Holy Father, and the Archons of Dawning Hope!"
- Distant and muffled voices filter in from outside.
- Kennian smiles softly.
- Cheliyi smiles brightly at the Thalassos, her frills puffing with joy.
- Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says, "...
- would be pretty cool, I'm sure."
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer looks on between the gathered and their discussion with faint
- amusement, and he shakes his head, only to push his spectacles up his nose as they threaten to slide
- from their perch again. "We have done well," he reaffirms. "Sailors might say now is an excellent time
- to stop by a tavern for a drink. I... do not partake myself, but would not begrudge any who wished to."
- Falaine watches Soterasiel in silent bemusement, glancing at Cheliyi with a sparkle in her eyes that
- can only be suppressed humor.
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer says to you, "My old friend, would the Sanctifiers mind terribly if I
- lingered here a bit longer to keep an eye upon the Thalassos while the Sea Spirit yet suffers?"
- Soterasiel Luminare says to Cheliyi, "If I ever meet the Spirit one day, I'm going to ask about the
- name. I'm fairly confident this may occur."
- Cheliyi stares blankly at Soterasiel.
- Kennian lets her hand slip off the edge of the Thalassos. Her body dips slightly in exhaustion before
- she straightens again.
- Slowly, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says, "... make sure to bring water breathes."
- Falaine's eyes sparkle with amusement at Cheliyi.
- Cheliyi pats Kennian in a friendly manner.
- Soterasiel Luminare says to Cheliyi, "Thank you for that, I will make sure to!"
- Soterasiel's mouth turns up as his face breaks into a smile.
- Soterasiel Luminare says, "Oh, actually, I can just shift into a Merian!"
- Cheliyi looks like she deeply wants to say something, but decides not to.
- Cheliyi stares implacably about herself.
- Gyorn's eyes sparkle with amusement at Cheliyi.
- Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, you say to Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer, "You can
- stay and watch it if you are so inclined, yes."
- Gyorn nods his head at Cheliyi, showing his acceptance.
- Soterasiel Luminare says to Cheliyi, "I know what you're thinking, and it is indeed very magical!"
- Soterasiel beams broadly.
- Cheerfully, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says to Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer, "I
- certainl don't minds, no."
- Cheliyi stares blankly at Soterasiel.
- Gyorn puts a group of 50 wood commodities into the Thalassos.
- A group of 50 wood commodities slips beneath the waves of the Thalassos, dissolving into the saline
- waters as it increases the temporal energy about the basin.
- A distant roll of thunder rumbles softly throughout the city, and then fades.
- Cheliyi stares blankly at the Thalassos.
- You think to yourself: Unfortunately there is no shoproom under the floor here to stock with items that
- he can sell to novices.
- Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters whispers, "It
- just ate-."
- Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, you say, "Yes, it does that."
- Cheliyi stares blankly into space.
- Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, you say, "Gold, too."
- Soterasiel Luminare says to Cheliyi, "Your playing was very lovely by the way, I'm sure it helped very
- much in helping the Spirit to relax."
- Gyorn La'Saet says, "Also eats eggs."
- You put 10,000 gold sovereigns in the Thalassos.
- Gold sovereigns sink below the waves of the Thalassos, the golden tints glimmering as the currents
- beneath the waters transform the coins into sand, and then disperse them throughout the basin so
- uniformly that it is impossible to distinguish them anymore.
- Momentarily distracted by the compliment, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says, "Ah uh,
- thanks, and w h y e g g s."
- Soterasiel Luminare smiles and says, "Everyone did a remarkable job in coming together to make such a
- calm and relaxing environment."
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer bows his head gratefully, adding with a pat upon the vessel at his
- hip, "Perhaps we may figure out what we can do with the essence we have gathered, and consider how to
- work with the rest of the Basin with the other Thalassi. Work for another day, another month."
- Gyorn La'Saet says to Cheliyi, "And gold anomalies."
- Duchess Kennian, Arm of Redress says, "I should rest. Thank you for allowing me to help."
- Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides flashes Soterasiel a warm smile, and she says, "I can certainly
- agree with that!"
- Gyorn nods his head at Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer.
- Soterasiel Luminare smiles and says to Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides, "You as well, I was
- entranced by your mandolin!"
- Gyorn puts a group of 2 cartons of eggs into the Thalassos.
- A group of 2 cartons of eggs slips beneath the waves of the Thalassos, dissolving into the saline
- waters as it increases the temporal energy about the basin.
- You think to yourself: ... then again, maybe the Thalassos just wants breakfast.
- Falaine puts some gold sovereigns in the Thalassos.
- Gold sovereigns sink below the waves of the Thalassos, the golden tints glimmering as the currents
- beneath the waters transform the coins into sand, and then disperse them throughout the basin so
- uniformly that it is impossible to distinguish them anymore.
- Soterasiel Luminare smiles and says to Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer, "Thank you for allowing me to
- commune with a Spirit in such a manner. It was a new and thrilling experience and something I will
- remember forever."
- Kennian takes one last look toward the Thalassos before turning and waving a happy good-bye to
- everyone.
- Cheliyi giggles at something unheard.
- Gyorn La'Saet says, "I'm really glad the lightning stopped.. putting out fires all over the city.."
- With perked, upright ears, a ruddy Nyalian mastiff lopes away to the up as if he were alerted to some
- danger ahead.
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer retrieves his driftwood staff to rest his weight lightly upon,
- flashing Soterasiel a smile. "It was all of our work together, joined and united. I should be thanking
- you."
- Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, you say, "Maybe eventually the Kelpie Maiden II will get
- fewer fires, as well..."
- Soterasiel shimmers with incandescent energy as the images of the Nine Seals blaze into existence along
- his arms. After a long moment they fade, though his eyes blaze with light for some time after.
- (Celest): Kennian says, "Take care of each other, fellow Servants of the Light?"
- You blink.
- Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says to
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer, "Do you think we may need -more- of the essence later? I know the
- Thalassos is quiet, but I worry if when helping the other Thalssi, we may run out of essence."
- Soterasiel Luminare says to Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer, "The end process yes, but we only
- arrived here thanks to your efforts in research. For that we owe you a great debt."
- (Celest): Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer says, "You as well, Kennian! Thank you for joining us!"
- Falaine stares quietly into the basin of the Thalassos, hands clasped into the small of her back as she
- listens.
- Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, you say to Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer, "Ah! That
- reminds me! I meant to ask after Dame Eluzmith, but things started happening and I forgot to do so."
- Gyorn puts a group of 10 silver bars into the Thalassos.
- A group of 10 silver bars slips beneath the waves of the Thalassos, dissolving into the saline waters
- as it increases the temporal energy about the basin.
- Gyorn puts a group of 100 wood commodities into the Thalassos.
- A group of 100 wood commodities slips beneath the waves of the Thalassos, dissolving into the saline
- waters as it increases the temporal energy about the basin.
- Gyorn nods his head emphatically.
- Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer flashes you a smile and gestures vaguely with his driftwood staff.
- "She was well when we parted last, some time ago. We haven't been in touch in a while, in truth."
- The nighttime air is still, holding its breath against the distant churning of seaside surf and the
- storm which threatens to break anew.
- Cheliyi blinks slowly.
- Rubbing his chin thoughtfully, Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer says, "As to the question about more
- sea essence..."
- Gyorn La'Saet says, "I enjoyed being able to see around your guildhall, it's beautiful."
- Gyorn tilts his head and listens intently to Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer.
- Regarding the Thalassos thoughtfully, Manchal, the Seafaring Aquamancer says, "We should keep it in
- mind, certainly, I think, and perhaps begin gathering anew soon. But perhaps for now, it is best to let
- it rest. To settle, as it were?"
- Cheliyi nods her head sagely.
- Comprehension flashes across Gyorn's face.
- Gyorn La'Saet says, "Sounds good sir."
- Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides turns from the Thalassos, stretching out her arms and back before
- flashing Cheliyi and Falaine a particularly bright smile. "The music we wove was beautiful," she says
- sincerely. "I look forward to playing with you both again in the future."
- Zeasha Novikei, Canticle of the Tides turns to the rest of the gathering and bends her waist in a
- polite bow, her eye bright. "We have truly accomplished something grand, and I am honoured to have
- played a part."
- With a sweep of her white robes, Zeasha Novikei bows her head humbly and departs to the up.
