  1. After the short exchange of words, the empyrean guided the butler demon into the main residence - the place he now used for work and contained a forge.
  2.
  3. In that place, over a table, there were already some cores of golems being holded by small metalic frames and these were waiting for the procedure - "These Cores hold a mana that is not of the desired origin, mine, so to speak - in case I tried to use them without first 'subjugating' the current one with mine..
  4.
  5. Which would be foolish!
  6.
  7. The control over my automatons would not be mine, they would have a will of their own and consecutively, aggressively similar to island constructs." As he spoke, his mask was removed from his visage and his hood pulled back.
  8.
  9. With his hand raised, he approached the first core and using his mana, formulated a circle that would serve for the rune system, for this procedure.
  10.
  11. "Tell me, are there constructs in the void? Probably not, right?" A very simple question, coming from an a certain curiosity about the plane.
  12. (Stolas)
  13.
  14.
  15. And the demon sits down, looking around rather fucking BORED. Checking his clothes, himself, this place is too..calm.
  16.
  17. "You want to control the golems?"
  18.
  19. ...The idea of corrupting the Golem comes to mind!
  20.
  21. "Constructs? Define, constructs. We have things, with metal or not. But we have things."
  22.
  23. And the Demon tears a rift into the air, watching the Demiplane.
  24. (Barelith)
  25.
  26.
  27. "Not exactly 'control' such mundane creatures, but study them in order to be able of producing my own, far superior - I'm currently building some small automatons, figures that will serve as a test case for future war golems.
  28.
  29. They will do small tasks, such as carry things, deliver things - collect things! This small goals that a simple automaton can do in order to assist us." As he said this, runes began to be transcribed on the inner part of the circle near the edges.
  30.
  31. They were runes referring to mana insertion and 'overflow', something to consecutively subdue the mana present and thus, fill those cores with the mana of Stolas.
  32.
  33. Thus, having a core that would be under his control.. To be used in this project!
  34.
  35. "Constructs are animated beings, such as walking statues, metallic creatures, warforged golems - they are quite similar to me, but extremely less refined.
  36.
  37. But they hold great power and utility.. One, that we could use." He explained, thus answering the doubts of the being.
  38.
  39. It was remarkable that XC was apathetic, no matter how formal his robotic voice was, how he talked to others - his features had no expression and thus, it ended up not being useful in discovering what was going on in his mind.
  40.
  41. But, he indeed noticed the entity's air of boredom.. Sadly, little there is to do.
  42. (Stolas)
  43.
  44. "We can use Felfire to power them."
  45.
  46. The demon shrugs and pulls something from that tear, a inky black mass that gathers around his arms that gain..some wicked blades that quickly disappear and turn into claws for his being.
  47.
  48. "We have constructs in the Void. Some are useful, others are simply..meat shields. Literal, meat shields. Used on Kal'Azul in great numbers but yes, we have 'Constructs'."
  49.
  50. The demon checks his fingers and retracts the claws, nodding to himself, the evolution begins?
  51. (Barelith)
  52.
  53. "Mm.. I'm not sure if it would work with mundane materials, I've heard that Felfire is extremely... Volatile and consistently problematic to keep close to anything.
  54.
  55. Use, in such projects.
  56.
  57. But if there's a way to contain it to feed a construct, we can use it.. Or at least, try." The idea was considered, but if they were going to do that they'd have to work even harder on it, have more planning..
  58.
  59. Obviously.
  60.
  61. Now, while they were talking, the empyrean's mana was already flowing from his hands and such filled the runes - which then, made the circle spin and filled the golem core with XC's energy! Meanwhile, it purged the present mana of the golem that had once used it to form a vessel.
  62.
  63. Great, so far it is working.
  64.
  65. "Oh, you mean the 'undead'?" He questioned, while making sure his work didn't explode.
  66. (Stolas)
  67.
  68.
  69. "Felfire is...a lot. Yes."
  70.
  71. He keeps staring the work that the Empyrean is doing, curious? A bit. But clearly not making too much effort to do anything.
  72.
  73. "No, I meant, constructs. The undead are...simply useless most of the time but they have their worth. The necromancers even more."
  74.
  75. ....And that gives the idea to the Demon, to learn it.
  76. (Barelith)
  77.
  78.
  79. Notably the golem's core began to glow azure hues, while the original wild elemental mana was overlaid by the empyrean's energy - which was more orderly than anything.
  80.
  81. "Necromancy is something quite unique, to say the least. I don't see much use to it personally, as I can get similar and even better results if I work on my devices.
  82.
  83. Create, new things that do a work similar." Well, maybe not so much - but that was his opinion on the matter.
  84.
  85. And now, at the end of his words, he had finished 'purifying' the first core! Which, then, was lifted and then analyzed by XC - something that would take a few minutes, before the core was repositioned into the small metal frame that held it.
  86.
  87. "This.. Is done! But speaking of which, necromancy.. I think our butler is doing something about it - I'm not entirely sure, but it's a possibility.
  88.
  89. Question him, will you? Just to confirm." An idea was given to the demon before he proceeded to the next core and repeated his action, creating the circle and runes.
  90.
  91. In order to purify it.
  92.
  93. As.. He would have to do this four more times.
  94. (Stolas)
  95.
  96. "It can be useful due to the ability to meld it with your.." He points to the cores and metals.
  97.
  98. "It can be useful if done right, easy if done right. And clearly, it can be difficult."
  99.
  100. He shrugs, not fully intending on going the way, the path of necromancy.
  101.
  102. "The butler intends on learning it? It seems that I'll have some use here for now ten."
  103.
  104. And the Demon stares the work.
  105. (Barelith)
  106.
  107. The second core received a similar treatment to the first, the circle formed, the runes glowed with the flow of mana and this one was filled - having the elemental's mana exchanged for that of the empyrean.
  108.
  109. A necessary procedure.
  110.
  111. And so, the figure repeated the process.. Until, he had five cores filled with mana - which would work for his project, to bring life to his automatons. Everything was going well, nothing exploded yet and the conversation continued.
  112.
  113. Great.
  114.
  115. "Well, it clearly has its use.. I don't deny it, but you know.. Meat and all that? Simply, disgusting.
  116.
  117. Why tie something to it, use something so fragile..
  118.
  119. An organic material, when there are better things - such as metals and stones! Wolfram, adamantite.. and the like." Here was a very simple point or rather ideal, of the empyrean.
  120.
  121. The flesh was weak.. The metal? Eternal.
  122. (Stolas)
  123.
  124.
  125. "It can be hardened if worked properly. It can be made eternal, it can be made stronger even than metal, Empyrean."
  126.
  127. It truly can be made better!
  128.
  129. "I do not know if its disgusting but it can be useful."
  130.
  131. The Demon has an old, raspy voice but somehow, he's not being...rude. Aggressive, he's just neutral. As if trying to understand this place.
  132. (Barelith)
  133.
  134. At this moment, the empyrean had already completed the last stages - the last core, underwent the transmutation of mana, from elemental to orderly XC and thus, becoming something theoretically, under its control.
  135.
  136. An extension of his will.
  137.
  138. "Sincerly I have my doubts about this until proven otherwise, honestly, I don't see meat as something useful - look at how many mortals can easily be cut.. Or even killed!
  139.
  140. With the least effort, by barbaric tools or rather simple magic, it becomes even silly.
  141.
  142. While metals, they are durable and resistant! Gaze at my vessel, steady and strong, firm, something almost impenetrable by normal means." Of course it wasn't quite that, yet, but.. In comparison to many, XC was extremely tough.
  143.
  144. There was no denying that.
  145.
  146. "Regardless, I believe.. That this step is completed, it was not something long or complicated, just tedious due to the repetitive method adopted to be able to do this process.
  147.
  148. Now, it is over." And once all the cores were in place, the empyrean took a crate - with dividers inside and then, began to store the cores.
  149.
  150. And that, was another step towards the completion of his project..
  151.
  152. Only two left and then tests.
  153. (Stolas)
