  1. [12:52] -- curatorialInsight [CI] began pestering turbulentAnnihilator [TA] at 12:52 --
  2. [12:52] CI: ((ass, ass, ass 'n titties))
  3. [12:52] TA: (( Lewd. ))
  4. [12:52] -- curatorialInsight [CI] ceased pestering turbulentAnnihilator [TA] at 12:52 --
  5. [12:52] -- curatorialInsight [CI] began pestering turbulentAnnihilator [TA] at 12:52 --
  6. [12:53] -- curatorialInsight [CI] might not have shown. She has no obligation to, after all! And it is getting rather late at night. Honestly, that CI person must have just been a cowar..d... ... why is the ground trembling? --
  7. [12:57] TA: Deveii pauses from his ministrations. Those being him trying to sharpen his favorite axe as best he can, which isn't going so well since he lacks any sort of grinding stone. Not even a whet stone in sight! Nevertheless, he gets up from his desk and looks out into the yard, expecting the yard to contain nothing more than the usual traps. What he sees gives him pause for thought as his jaw nearly fa
  8. [12:57] TA: lls onto the floor.
  9. [01:05] TA: Of course, he naturally wasn't surprised by the amount of traps positioned on the lawn. There were a large number of cholerbeast traps, waiting for someone to step in one and snap off their leg. There was also a disguised pit in the middle of the lawn, which was innocently clear of obvious traps. Tripwires hidden in the never-mowed-ever-forever lawn were also set up, waiting to be triggered. The g
  10. [01:06] TA: igantic lusus standing outside is what really captured his attention.
  11. [01:06] -- curatorialInsight [CI] approaches the scene on a gigantic beast, Lusus-white, clad for battle with steel and leather and gold. The troll herself is draped in jade -- and given the rarity of that caste, there's only one person it could be... --
  12. [01:09] CI: HAIL!
  13. [01:09] CI: I am Marifa Maalik, Crusht(o)dian (o)f M(o)unt Rive's m(o)st Illuminated Athenium!
  14. [01:09] CI: C(o)me, small thing, and face me in battle!
  15. [01:10] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] opens the window to speak with the troll. Opened is actually a bit of a misnomer. Rather, he wads his hand up in a rag from nearby and smashes right through the window so he can yell through the hole. --
  16. [01:11] TA: Shut the fuck up! Ho[y sh]t ]'m gett]ng a m]gra]ne a[ready! You want me to f]ght? You get the he[[ down from that god damn abom]nat]on!
  17. [01:11] TA: And who're you ca[[]ng sma[[? You're the one r]d]ng a [usus []ke ]t's your own persona[ scutt[e buggy!
  18. [01:12] -- curatorialInsight's [CI'S] lusus trumpets an indignant war cry. It can't help that headache. --
  19. [01:13] CI: The gifts (o)f my caste are mine t(o) use, greenbl(o)(o)d. N(o)w c(o)me!
  20. [01:13] TA: Oh, gonna f]ght []ke that, huh? Get the fuck over HERE f]rst assho[e! ]'d [ove to see you try!
  21. [01:14] CI: I will n(o)t tear d(o)wn the hive (o)f an insignificant creature f(o)r a mild slight.
  22. [01:14] CI: N(o)t unless pr(o)mpted.
  23. [01:14] TA: Go ahead and try, sh]t[ord. ]f you don't move, MY [usus w][[ be happy to make the f]ght eas]er.
  24. [01:15] CI: But if y(o)u s(o) insist, I will break the d(o)(o)r - I will wrench the l(o)ck - I will smash the d(o)(o)r-p(o)sts, I will f(o)rce the d(o)(o)rs!
  25. [01:15] TA: That was []tera[[y hand[ed by one sentence. Do you have pan damage or someth]ng? A s-s-s-stutter? Huh?
  26. [01:16] CI: I d(o) n(o)t expect (o)ne such as y(o)u t(o) have any handle (o)n (o)ur cultural heritage and myth(o)l(o)gical hist(o)ry.
  27. [01:16] CI: N(o)w - CHARGE!
  28. [01:17] -- curatorialInsight [CI] whips the lusus, and it rears onto its hind legs, crashing down with a force to shatter bones. It charges, just as ordered, and... --
  29. [01:23] -- curatorialInsight's [CI'S] lusus sets off the choler-traps -- and shakes them off. The tripwires, once triggered, bring down a world of pain -- but still, the lusus charges forward, jade blood spilling from its wounds. It's only when it comes down on the unmarked ground that its size betrays it, crashing down into the pit below. The spikes impale a leg, and it roars its dissent, writhing against the sharpness. --
  30. [01:23] CI: Aira! Tch -- AT EASE!
  31. [01:24] -- curatorialInsight [CI] roars the command herself, in tones not unlike her elephantine lusus, as she leaps from the creature's back onto the ground. With an encyclopedia at hand -- what, is she going to -teach- Deveii to death? -- she charges the rest of the way to his hive, cloak billowing as she tries to avoid the remaining traps. --
  32. [01:24] TA: Don't say ] d]dn't warn you! Because now that your [usus ]s stuck ]n there, she a]n't ever com]ng out!
  33. [01:25] CI: S(o) -- y(o)u -- may -- THINK!
  34. [01:26] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] Deveii disappears from the window, tromping down the staircase and heading for the front door. Meanwhile, a cacophonic screeching can be heard outside as a perfectly white eagle soars off the rooftop. It drops altitude until it's circling above Marifa and her custodian, just watching them. --
  35. [01:27] -- curatorialInsight's [CI'S] lusus roars and trumpets. It stays still against the spikes, but it's obviously recognised the eagle as a threat, and is trying to warn it off. (Or else.) --
  36. [01:29] -- turbulentAnnihilator's [TA'S] lusus shrieks in reply, getting as low as it can while being out of trumpet range. It circles more around Marifa than the other lusus, while stomping noises can be heard approaching from the behind the front door. --
  37. [01:29] -- curatorialInsight's [CI'S] lusus seems almost to be bellowing to -Marifa-. She doesn't listen, surging forward until she reaches Deveii's doorstep. --
  38. [01:31] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] Said door immediately slams open, a very angry greenblood standing in the doorway with a rather grim looking axe in his hands. --
  39. [01:31] TA: Now what the fuck do we have here? A fresh execut]on order? ] cou[d a[ways use more pa]nt.
  40. [01:32] -- curatorialInsight, [CI,] sneering, whacks him with her exceedingly heavy book as soon as the door opens. --
  41. [01:33] -- turbulentAnnihilator, [TA,] not expecting to actually be struck at by a book, suffers a large slam right on top of the head. He stumbles backwards as stars appear before his eyes. His lusus, however, chooses this time to shriek once more and dive straight for Marifa, talons open to start tearing off flesh. --
  42. [01:36] -- curatorialInsight [CI] whirls, raising her book this time as a shield, not a weapon. The talons tear at it, ripping into the iron cover -- and though she's able to keep it between her and the vengeful creature, she's forced to stumble back... right into one of those cholerbear traps. --
  43. [01:37] CI: Ch--!
  44. [01:39] -- turbulentAnnihilator's [TA'S] lusus, satisfied that it has protected its troll, flaps backwards from Marifa's book, unknowingly heading straight for Marifa's lusus. The trap right under Marifa's foot, in the meantime, takes the sudden increase of pressure as its cue to snap shut in seconds. Right on top of her leg. --
  45. [01:40] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] Pokes his head out of the doorway, rubbing at his skull, and at the bruise starting to form under his hair. --
  46. [01:41] -- curatorialInsight's [CI'S] lusus reaches up, with its trunk, to grab at the eagle. Meanwhile, Marifa slips her book back into its holster -- books have holsters now -- as she grips the trap with her hands, and snarls, pulling it open the hard way to try and get her leg out. Evidently she's never read any books on -trapping-! --
  47. [01:47] -- turbulentAnnihilator's [TA'S] lusus is ensnared by the trunk, shrieks changing from an angry pitch to a terrified screech. Deveii glances at Marifa, snorts in what sounds suspiciously like laughter, then charges straight at her lusus. He leaps across the edge of the pit and onto the beast, crawling to the top before taking his axe out and raising it ominously above his head. --
  48. [01:50] -- curatorialInsight [CI] is a troll, and trolls are bred for strength above all else. Perhaps that's why she's able to edge it open -- at first just a few inches, and then, as the rusty springs protest and snap, all the way. --
  49. [01:59] -- curatorialInsight [CI] leaps forward, heedless of her bleeding leg with its pierced muscle and flesh, one hand reaching down to grab her book again. As she does, her lusus tightens its grip on the enemy custodian -- and -- --
  50. [01:59] -- curatorialInsight's [CI'S] elephantine custodian cries out as Deveii's axe pierces flesh. It is far too large to be beheaded, but he arguably does something -worse-, blade cutting into the nerves at the base of its neck. Paralysed, the creature slumps, falls onto the spikes which its height had previously protected it from. --
  51. [01:59] -- curatorialInsight [CI] doesn't have time to speak. Instead, she just reacts -- leaping from the edge of the pit to grab the eagle before it can escape from her lusus's lack of grip, and bringing her battle-tome down on its skull, again and again. --
  52. [01:59] CI: AAAAHHH--!!
  53. [02:00] TA: No-!
  54. [02:01] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] cries out, watching his lusus' brains become nothing more than a fine paste on the ground after a few moments. He jumps off the defeated elephantine lusus and charges right at Marifa, snarling in pure hatred (platonic flavored) as his hands reach out to physically throw her against the wall of his hive. --
  55. [02:04] -- curatorialInsight, [CI,] so distracted by her own lusus's fate -- it still trumpets pitifully in the background, its death a drawn-out affair of being pierced through the heart, not a quick and painless blow to the head -- --
  56. [02:04] CI: is caught by Deveii's hands, slammed against the wall. Her tome scatters across the ground, triggering another trap, though there's no one to be pulverised by it. She gasps, the wind knocked from her, as she glares at him.
  57. [02:04] CI: Y(o)u-- y(o)u--
  58. [02:05] TA: Shut your god damned prote]n chute! My fuck]ng [usus, man! YOU K][[ED MY FUCK]NG [USUS!
  59. [02:06] CI: AS Y(o)U HAVE SLAIN MY -(o)WN-!
  60. [02:06] TA: YOU STARTED TH]S SH]T! NOBODY TO[D YOU TO FUCK]NG HACK MY HUSKTOP! NOBODY MADE YOU FUCK]NG ATTACK ME!
  61. [02:07] CI: I AM GUILTLESS! I HAVE D(o)NE -N(o)THING- T(o) Y(o)U! Y(o)U ISSUED A CHALLENGE, AND BY MY H(o)N(o)UR I -ACCEPTED-!
  62. [02:09] TA: FUCK YOUR GOD DAMNED HONOR, AND FUCK YOU!
  63. [02:09] CI: THIS IS Y(o)UR FAULT, Y(o)U, Y(o)U WITLESS -RUBE-!
  64. [02:10] TA: W]T[ESS RUBE!? WHAT THE FUCK K]ND OF ]NSU[T ]S THAT, YOU B[]THER]NG, ARROGANT, KNOW-]T-A[[ WRETCHED STENCH OF NOOK EXCUSE FOR A []V]NG CREATURE?
  65. [02:11] CI: HAD Y(o)U N(o)T INSISTED (o)N SUCH A CRETIN(o)US C(o)URSE (o)F ACTI(o)N, WE W(o)ULD N(o)T -BE- HERE! N(o)W -- N(o)W WH(o) WILL SUPP(o)RT ME IN THESE DAYS T(o) C(o)ME?! THERE IS MUCH T(o) BE D(o)NE, AND S(o) MUCH RIDES UP(o)N IT! AND Y(o)U -- Y(o)U HAVE -CRIPPLED- MY P(o)TENTIAL ASSAULT!
  66. [02:11] TA: SHUT YOUR GOD DAMNED MOUTH, YOU ROTT]NG P][E OF EXCREMENT!
  67. [02:11] -- curatorialInsight's [CI'S] voice wavers, slightly, though no tears grace her face. She's stronger than -that-. --
  68. [02:12] CI: I WILL N(o)T! HAD Y(o)U ANY SENSE AT ALL, Y(o)U W(o)ULD -BEG- F(o)R F(o)RGIVENESS!
  69. [02:12] TA: FORG]VENESS? WHY WOU[D ] WANT FORG]VENESS FROM SOMEONE ]'M ABOUT TO FUCK]NG BEHEAD AND MOUNT ON MY WA[[?
  70. [02:12] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] brings another axe out from his strife deck, fingers curled around the handle and twitching with huge amounts of tension. --
  71. [02:14] -- curatorialInsight [CI] snarls, grabbing another book from her own deck, raising it like a shield in front of her. (Tetherteeth's Unabridged Dictionary, Eighth Edition.) --
  72. [02:14] CI: Y(o)u... y(o)u'll pay. Y(o)u'll pay....
  73. [02:15] TA: Dead tro[[s te[[ no ta[es, you b]tch. Any god damn [ast words before ] break your book ]n ha[f, []ke ]'[[ do to your sp]ne?
  74. [02:15] -- curatorialInsight [CI] glares, eyes wide. There's fear, there, underneath the anger. She is not in a favourable position. --
  75. [02:16] CI: ... kill me n(o)w, and we all are d(o)(o)med. Every (o)ne (o)f us.
  76. [02:17] TA: Chargebeastsh]t! You keep say]ng sh]t []ke that and ]'m not gonna fa[[ for ]t! That's a rea[[y weak [ast cry, ]'ve heard h]ve[ess tro[[s on a bender g]ve better ones!
  77. [02:21] -- curatorialInsight [CI] sneers, baring her teeth. --
  78. [02:23] CI: In seeking wisd(o)m th(o)u art wise; in imagining that th(o)u hast attained it - th(o)u art a f(o)(o)l.
  79. [02:23] CI: L(o)rd Crushterfield.
  80. [02:23] CI: Y(o)u w(o)uld d(o) well t(o) take his c(o)unsel.
  81. [02:24] TA: We[[ ] don't see any fuck]ng proof around here, do ]? So ] guess there's no "w]sdom" to be ga]ned. Why won't you shut up and d]e a[ready?
  82. [02:25] -- curatorialInsight [CI] tries -- and likely fails, given their respective occupations -- to wrest herself from his grip against the wall. --
  83. [02:27] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] snarls, tightening his grip on her with one hand and winding his axe backwards with the other. A second of tension passes, then the axe whips back, cutting through the air in a path directly at the unfortunate jadeblood. --
  84. [02:28] -- curatorialInsight's [CI'S] eyes widen, and she lifts her book up and away from her, to intercept the path of the axe. But this book is not steel-bound -- the blade cuts through most of the pages, pushing back until the half-cleaved book is pressed against her throat. Panic shows, in her words. --
  85. [02:28] CI: N(o). N(o)!
  86. [02:28] CI: Y(o)u f(o)(o)l, y(o)u d(o) n(o)t c(o)mprehend --
  87. [02:29] CI: D(o) y(o)u n(o)t kn(o)w that (o)ur destiny is n(o)t here?! Have y(o)u n(o)t heeded the call t(o) greatness thrust up(o)n us?!
  88. [02:29] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] barks out a harsh laugh as he presses the axe forwards, merely increasing the pressure on her rather than ending her quickly. --
  89. [02:30] TA: You're speak]ng a [ot of sh]t, but ] don't hear anyth]ng worth []sten]ng to! Try not be]ng a fuck]ng arrogant ass and maybe you'[[ get someth]ng out before ] [eave you to b[eed out on the ground!
  90. [02:30] -- curatorialInsight's [CI'S] breath quickens, eyes widening. One leg sneaks out, even as she continues to speak, to press against the back of his knee. --
  91. [02:30] CI: We are g(o)ing t(o) -save Alternia-, y(o)u, y(o)u cl(o)uded fiend --
  92. [02:31] -- curatorialInsight [CI] applies pressure to that point as she shoves forward, seeking to knock him to the ground. --
  93. [02:31] CI: -- and we cann(o)t d(o) this if we kill each (o)ther!
  94. [02:33] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] falls backwards, dropping his weapon on the ground in surprise. He starts to get up, then notices his foot is resting under something. A certain trip-wirey something. --
  95. [02:33] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] uses this time to snarl incoherent threats at Marifa. --
  96. [02:36] -- curatorialInsight [CI] leans down to get her -proper- book, while he's down. Steel is much better than paper. --
  97. [02:39] TA: You got two god damn seconds to run, assho[e! Because that's a[[ ]'[[ need to get up and put an axe ]n between your fac]a[ p[ates!
  98. [02:40] -- curatorialInsight [CI] steps over to him -- careful to -avoid- any tripwires, and at the same time noticing the one over his foot -- and leans down, behind his head, so that he has to tilt even to see her. She's smiling. Oh god, stop smiling, that's creepy as hell. --
  99. [02:41] -- curatorialInsight [CI] hefts her steel-bound -- and green blood-splattered -- book in one hand. --
  100. [02:41] CI: W(o)uld y(o)u like t(o) kn(o)w h(o)w much m(o)re merciful y(o)ur cust(o)dian's death was, as (o)pp(o)sed t(o) mine?
  101. [02:41] TA: ] don't g]ve a god damn sh]t! You wanna k][[ me? You can r]de shotgun to he[[ w]th me.
  102. [02:41] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] raises his foot against the tripwire threateningly, snarling at her smile. --
  103. [02:42] CI: Statistically speaking, y(o)ur trap is likely damaged -- just like the (o)ne which held me, a m(o)ment pri(o)r.
  104. [02:43] CI: Even if y(o)u trip that wire, I am in a far better p(o)siti(o)n t(o) escape c(o)mpared t(o) y(o)urself.
  105. [02:43] TA: But are you w][[]ng to bet your []fe, fucker? Cowards []ke you never are.
  106. [02:43] CI: I'm willing t(o) trust the data.
  107. [02:44] CI: Data... data is a null state. It never lies. All it d(o)es... is describe... reality.
  108. [02:45] CI: And the reality is, y(o)u're n(o)t g(o)ing t(o) kill me.
  109. [02:45] CI: Because y(o)u still have s(o)mething imp(o)rtant t(o) d(o).
  110. [02:45] CI: The fate (o)f (o)ur race rests (o)n y(o)ur sh(o)ulders, greenbl(o)(o)d.
  111. [02:47] TA: Oh fuck off, w][[ you? You're act]ng []ke th]s ]s some fuck]ng dumbass mov]e. We both know ]'m just go]ng to k][[ you the second ] get up.
  112. [02:47] TA: "Fate of our race" my ass.
  113. [02:48] -- curatorialInsight's [CI'S] smile fades into something ugly, a mild frown which somehow conveys more disgust than any giant scowl. --
  114. [02:48] CI: If y(o)u insist.
  115. [02:48] -- curatorialInsight, [CI,] with that, brings the spine of the book down on his temple. --
  116. [02:50] -- turbulentAnnihilator's [TA'S] head issues a solid 'C-CRACK!' as the tome hits his head. His foot twitches upwards for a moment, then falls flat. To the untrained eye, he would appear dead, but he's merely unconcscious. --
  117. [02:53] -- curatorialInsight [CI] breathes out, and then goes about retrieving him from the trap he's threatening to spring. Once he's collected, she takes him into his hive, and dumps him on the nearest couch. --
  118. [02:54] -- curatorialInsight [CI] binds his wrists -- just to be safe, just in case he wakes -- and then crouches down beside him, stroking his hair out of the way, being -entirely- inappropriate as she looks him over properly from the first time. --
  119. [02:54] CI: ... s(o) that's h(o)w it is...
  120. [02:54] CI: ... they weren't (o)n (o)ther planets at all.
  121. [02:54] CI: N(o)t yet...
  122. [02:56] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] snarls in his unconscious state, while another bruise begins to form on his forehead. His bound hands twitch in his stupor. --
  123. [02:56] CI: I d(o)n't want t(o) believe that y(o)u're (o)ne (o)f them, but... hmph. I supp(o)se it's a legitimate (o)verture, even if it is a bit much f(o)r the first date.
  124. [02:57] -- curatorialInsight [CI] strokes his cheek... and then, slaps it. --
  125. [02:57] CI: Y(o)u. Greenbl(o)(o)d. Wake!
  126. [02:57] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] fails to awaken completely. His lack of wakefullness goes down in the history of the universe as the most striking example of rebellion against wake-itude. --
  127. [02:59] -- curatorialInsight [CI] shrugs, grabs his ear, and twists. --
  128. [02:59] CI: I said... -wake-.
  129. [03:01] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] growls as his eyes slowly open again. He squirms against the feeling of pain against the side of his head, then notices Marifa is still in his presence. --
  130. [03:01] TA: What...the fuck?
  131. [03:01] CI: Y(o)ur name.
  132. [03:01] CI: Speak y(o)ur name.
  133. [03:01] TA: F]rst name: P]ss. Second name: Off.
  134. [03:02] -- curatorialInsight [CI] sneers, her hand trailing down to his throat, and grabbing him there. She's not using her full strength, but the -threat- is there. --
  135. [03:02] CI: Y(o)ur name, please.
  136. [03:02] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] coughs, glowering at her. --
  137. [03:03] TA: You don't have the god damn guts. What're you gonna do? Torture me? You sure as he[[ aren't go]ng to k][[ me.
  138. [03:03] CI: (o)ur cultural heritage is f(o)cused (o)n a certain... particular... set (o)f skills.
  139. [03:03] -- curatorialInsight [CI] squeezes, at each pause, her grip slowly tightening. --
  140. [03:04] CI: As a guardian (o)f kn(o)wledge... what d(o) y(o)u supp(o)se I am capable (o)f?
  141. [03:04] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] glares at her again, sternly refusing to give any sign of how much his throat is starting to hurt. --
  142. [03:05] TA: Jack sh]t as far as ]'m concerned. Torture me a[[ you fuck]ng want, pansy. You can't break me.
  143. [03:07] CI: Silly b(o)y. I will find (o)ut what I want t(o) kn(o)w, (o)ne way (o)r an(o)ther. I am simply giving y(o)u the (o)pti(o)n t(o) release it (o)f y(o)ur (o)wn will, instead (o)f putting me thr(o)ugh the tr(o)uble (o)f stealing y(o)ur inf(o)rmati(o)n hub, with all (o)f its n(o) d(o)ubt -very- pers(o)nal inf(o)rmati(o)n inside...
  144. [03:08] TA: My what? The fuck are you on? Who g]ves you your drugs, because ] want to beat the sh]t out of them.
  145. [03:08] CI: Y(o)ur -name-, y(o)u imbecile.
  146. [03:08] CI: Speak!
  147. [03:10] TA: You expect me to []sten to the b]tch who hacked my husktop and k][[ed my [usus? Why don't you go consu[t your own custod]an on what to do?
  148. [03:10] TA: Oh, wa]t.
  149. [03:10] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] laughs as best he can, making sure it sounds as cruel as possible. --
  150. [03:10] -- curatorialInsight's [CI'S] gaze darkens, and her claws dig in, -just- under the skin, -just- drawing blood. --
  151. [03:12] CI: D(o) n(o)t m(o)ck me, small thing.
  152. [03:12] CI: Y(o)u, s(o) perfectly average and -uninteresting-, with y(o)ur middle-class bl(o)(o)d, and y(o)ur middle-class life...
  153. [03:13] CI: ... I w(o)nder what the stars wr(o)te f(o)r such a b(o)ring little tr(o)ll?
  154. [03:13] TA: God DAMN you're fuck]n' tweaked. ]s that why my hands are bound? That's just we]rd, you s]cko.
  155. [03:14] -- curatorialInsight's [CI'S] lips twitch into a smile. There is no warmth in it. --
  156. [03:14] CI: N(o). They are b(o)und s(o) y(o)u d(o) n(o)t get any ideas as t(o) y(o)ur d(o)minance in this situati(o)n.
  157. [03:14] -- curatorialInsight [CI] releases his throat, at that, and strokes her claws up his cheek -- pausing, at the edge of his eyesocket. --
  158. [03:15] CI: ... whatever destiny has written f(o)r y(o)u... I w(o)nder if y(o)u need tw(o) l(o)(o)kstubs t(o) d(o) it?
  159. [03:15] CI: Y(o)ur name, greenbl(o)(o)d.
  160. [03:18] TA: For fucks sakes. ]t's not enough that ] have to wear these god damned g[asses! Noooo, everyone wants to take my eyes too! Fuck off. You get my name when my hands aren't bound up []ke some s]ck freak's wet dream.
  161. [03:19] -- curatorialInsight [CI] raises a brow. --
  162. [03:19] CI: Y(o)u think me that f(o)(o)lish?
  163. [03:19] CI: I will unbind y(o)u when I leave. I d(o) n(o)t wish f(o)r y(o)u t(o) experience a sl(o)w death (o)n acc(o)unt (o)f y(o)ur intellectual imp(o)tence.
  164. [03:20] TA: ] th]nk you're pretty damn stup]d, ]f that's what you mean. You haven't done even the MOST obv]ous god damn th]ng. God damn amateur. ]'m on[y s]tt]ng here by cho]ce.
  165. [03:21] CI: And I have b(o)und what I have, by ch(o)ice.
  166. [03:21] CI: I am n(o)t l(o)(o)king t(o) subjugate y(o)u...
  167. [03:21] -- curatorialInsight [CI] looks him over -oh god stop- -- --
  168. [03:21] CI: ... n(o)t yet.
  169. [03:22] TA: ...Ho[y sh]t, someone rea[[y needs to get out more.
  170. [03:22] TA: Th]s ]s just sad.
  171. [03:22] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] shakes his head slowly. --
  172. [03:22] CI: (o)h, just tell me y(o)ur damnable name already!
  173. [03:25] TA: G]mme a be[]evab[e reason. Not the one that ]nvo[ves you star]ng at my fuck]ng bu[ge.
  174. [03:34] CI: Because the seas will b(o)il, and the sky will quake, and all things will end in fire and dismay. And we will be the (o)nly (o)nes left standing -- and we will -wrest- (o)ur destiny fr(o)m the jaws (o)f defeat! We are g(o)ing t(o) -SAVE- THE -W(o)RLD-...!
  175. [03:35] -- curatorialInsight's [CI'S] jaw gapes in a terrible grin, not unlike the mad chemislayers of yore. A moment later her expression switches, and she smiles, cheerfully, as she grabs her book and holds it over him. --
  176. [03:35] CI: Als(o), if y(o)u d(o)n't tell me I'll break y(o)ur fucking pr(o)ngs, and y(o)u'll regret that f(o)r -sure- when y(o)u're f(o)rced t(o) play 'disarm the magical ch(o)lertrap, which is als(o) in the middle (o)f a field (o)f real ch(o)lertraps, which are pr(o)bably (o)f better quality than the (o)ne I ripped apart'.
  177. [03:36] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] blankly stares at Marifa for several minutes. --
  178. [03:36] -- curatorialInsight [CI] just smiles at him. --
  179. [03:36] TA: So, you have to te[[ me. What the fuck d]d you smoke ton]ght?
  180. [03:37] CI: (o)rphan tears. N(o)w tell me y(o)ur name, sweetie.
  181. [03:37] TA: Fasc]nat]ng, now you'[[ be ab[e to use your own.
  182. [03:37] CI: (o)r y(o)urs. Tell me y(o)ur fucking name.
  183. [03:38] TA: Zekeke.
  184. [03:38] -- curatorialInsight [CI] shakes her head and sighs. --
  185. [03:39] TA: Hey, ]t's a name.
  186. [03:39] TA: And ] use ]t!
  187. [03:39] TA: So ]t's my name, assho[e.
  188. [03:39] CI: (o)h, my dear, sweet little idi(o)t...
  189. [03:39] CI: ... y(o)u br(o)ught this (o)n y(o)urself.
  190. [03:39] -- curatorialInsight, [CI,] with that, slams the heel of her book down on his fingers with terrible force. --
  191. [03:40] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] holds back a how of pain as the bones in his fingers audibly crack. --
  192. [03:41] -- curatorialInsight [CI] holds the book there, grinding down, and smiles at him with an expression which is disturbingly serene. --
  193. [03:41] CI: Tell me y(o)ur real name, n(o)w, there's a g(o)(o)d b(o)y.
  194. [03:42] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] snarls, biting down on his lips hard enough to draw blood. --
  195. [03:42] -- curatorialInsight [CI] leans down, licks that blood from his skin. Look, there's 'creepy' and then there's 'sexual harrassment', Maalik, maybe you should look them up. --
  196. [03:43] CI: All y(o)u have t(o) d(o)... is tell me... y(o)ur name.
  197. [03:43] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] takes the opportunity to spit a mixture of saliva and blood right in her eye. --
  198. [03:44] -- curatorialInsight's [CI'S] other hand comes up to wipe it away, as she shakes her head, rueful like a lusus teaching its grub a lesson. The book grinds into his fingers. --
  199. [03:44] CI: Y(o)ur name.
  200. [03:44] TA: You. Won't. Break. Me.
  201. [03:45] CI: (o)h, y(o)u silly little b(o)y...
  202. [03:45] -- curatorialInsight [CI] sounds disturbingly eager. --
  203. [03:45] CI: ... I d(o)n't -want- t(o)!
  204. [03:45] CI: But I d(o) want t(o) kn(o)w y(o)ur name, and y(o)u -are- g(o)ing t(o) tell me.
  205. [03:47] TA: ] won't te[[ you SH]T! You're a dead tro[[, you hear me?
  206. [03:54] CI: 'Death, a necessary end, will c(o)me when it will c(o)me.' William Shankspeare.
  207. [03:54] CI: F(o)r n(o)w, I think... mm...
  208. [03:56] TA: What? You gonna bore me to death? Fuck]ng weak.
  209. [03:59] CI: B(o)re y(o)u t(o) death? N(o), I think n(o)t.
  210. [03:59] -- curatorialInsight [CI] shifts her book into one hand, and recites: --
  211. [03:59] CI: Three tw(o) three p(o)int f(o)ur nine.
  212. [03:59] -- curatorialInsight [CI] grasps a wet rag in her hand -- which she proceeds to press into his face. --
  213. [04:00] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] sputters, shaking his head in a vain effort to get the rag off of his face. --
  214. [04:00] -- curatorialInsight [CI] just keeps holding it there, firm, yet not unkind. --
  215. [04:01] CI: Sleep a little l(o)nger, my stubb(o)rn little bird... (o)kay?
  216. [04:01] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] finally passes out, again, as oxygen is depleted from his starving think pan. Several precious cells are lost in the process. --
  217. [04:02] -- curatorialInsight [CI] is sure he won't need them. He wasn't using them anyway! --
  218. [04:02] -- curatorialInsight [CI] removes the rag, and goes around to do a few important things. --
  219. [04:03] -- curatorialInsight [CI] grabs his information hub, and prints out all the sensitive information she can find -- just, you know, for a little more data. Then, she goes and raids his home for things she needs, disregarding any sense of 'his personal space' (but minding any sense of 'trapped personal space'. You never know.) --
  220. [04:09] -- curatorialInsight, [CI,] finally, trusses him up at his whittling table, in his very own respiteblock -- bound around the ankles and wrists, leg bound to chair-leg, arm to chairback. It's an art form, really, giving him just --
  221. [04:09] CI: enough room to struggle and aggravate his wounds, but not enough to let him free. She sits at his desk, his husktop open in front of her, a huge tome on warfare open in her lap, several little wooden figures scattered on the desk. (There are other things, too. Is that his whittling knife?! Ugh, she can't mean to use -that- on troll skin, it'll ruin the blade!)
  222. [04:09] -- curatorialInsight [CI] waits patiently for him to wake, whistling a cheerful little tune. --
  223. [04:10] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] slowly wakes up, shaking himself and glaring up at Marifa. --
  224. [04:10] -- curatorialInsight [CI] looks up to him, cheerful. --
  225. [04:10] TA: Oh, you moved me aga]n. Fuck]ng thoughtfu[. Are you p[ann]ng on more sh]tty torture techn]ques?
  226. [04:10] CI: G(o)(o)d evening!
  227. [04:11] CI: Actually, I was g(o)ing t(o) discuss with y(o)u y(o)ur the(o)ries (o)f the failure at Amerus F(o)ur.
  228. [04:11] -- curatorialInsight [CI] glances to the husk top. --
  229. [04:11] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] rolls his eyes --
  230. [04:11] TA: ] knew ]t, you're go]ng to bore me to death.
  231. [04:12] TA: Fuck, and ] never got to k][[ that assho[e next door.
  232. [04:12] CI: 'With the might (o)f an Axeterminat(o)r marching with them, the Advance F(o)rce w(o)uldn't have sucked s(o) fucking much...' ... which is interesting, since the Axeterminat(o)rs haven't been depl(o)yed in hand-t(o)-hand since the disaster at Malgus Reach.
  233. [04:13] TA: Ma[gus Reach on[y ended bad[y because the fuck]ng ]d]ot ]n charge thought they were meant as a god damn b[ockade force!
  234. [04:13] CI: S(o), h(o)w precisely d(o) y(o)u pr(o)p(o)se a gr(o)up (o)f gl(o)rified terraf(o)rmers w(o)uld impr(o)ve that situati(o)n?
  235. [04:15] TA: Fuck off. They're shock troops, berzerkers. ]f they had been god damn used, the who[e front wou[dn't have fuck]ng sta[[ed. Th]s ]s bas]c tact]cs you tw]t. Momentum ]s key!
  236. [04:16] -- curatorialInsight [CI] sighs, and rises up, putting the book aside and taking the knife in hand. --
  237. [04:16] CI: (o)h, right.
  238. [04:16] CI: I sh(o)uld have menti(o)ned this bef(o)rehand.
  239. [04:16] CI: F(o)r every stupid answer y(o)u give, I'm g(o)ing t(o) cut y(o)u.
  240. [04:16] CI: There. N(o)w y(o)u kn(o)w!
  241. [04:16] TA: Oh, wow. Cutt]ng me w]th a kn]fe. ]'m shak]ng ]n my trunkbeast-[eather shoes.
  242. [04:17] CI: Papercuts, while c(o)nsiderably inc(o)nvenient, d(o)n't serve my ultimate purp(o)se.
  243. [04:17] TA: ]'m fuck]ng k]dd]ng about the [eather, but ] p[an on mak]ng some when ] get the chance.
  244. [04:17] -- curatorialInsight's [CI'S] smile twitches, almost cracks as she steps forward. --
  245. [04:18] -- curatorialInsight, [CI,] with that, carefully pierces the flesh on his shoulder. It's not a deep cut, but it bleeds. --
  246. [04:18] CI: N(o)w, here's the fun part.
  247. [04:19] CI: I already kn(o)w everything ab(o)ut y(o)u there is t(o) kn(o)w. Y(o)ur name, y(o)ur military enlistment details, the s(o)rt (o)f images which inspire y(o)ur aut(o)er(o)gen(o)us shame gl(o)bes t(o) acti(o)n.
  248. [04:19] CI: But I'd still rather hear y(o)u say it.
  249. [04:20] CI: S(o) h(o)w ab(o)ut it? Tell me y(o)ur name.
  250. [04:21] TA: Has-More-Exper]ence-Than-You. ]f you have to fuck]ng ask how my [usus named me that, p]ss off.
  251. [04:23] -- curatorialInsight [CI] raises a brow, strides back over to the desk, strides back. There's half of a yellow, acidic fruit in her hand, of the type used to make sweet drinks but which is normally too sour to bear. She squeezes it over the wound, shaking her head. --
  252. [04:23] CI: Y(o)u're awfully stubb(o)rn, aren't y(o)u?
  253. [04:23] CI: I... I really d(o) want t(o) kn(o)w h(o)w stubb(o)rn y(o)u are.
  254. [04:25] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] hisses as the acidic juices reach his wound, quickly stifling himself and glowering at her. --
  255. [04:25] TA: You're fuck]ng tweaked, you know that? ]'ve seen some fucked up tro[[s but you're tak]ng the who[e god damn foodb[ock and cake w]th ]t.
  256. [04:25] -- curatorialInsight [CI] tilts her head. --
  257. [04:26] CI: H(o)w is this any different t(o) anything any(o)ne has d(o)ne thr(o)ugh(o)ut hist(o)ry?
  258. [04:27] CI: I am s(o) -very- g(o)(o)d with hist(o)ry, y(o)u kn(o)w. Which, by the way -- y(o)ur assumpti(o)ns ab(o)ut the Ri(o)ts (o)f Albagray are all wr(o)ng. Their leader had previ(o)usly been inv(o)lved in the Katzen Strike, and he (o)nly survived by running away. Had the ri(o)t had m(o)re manp(o)wer, it still w(o)uld have perished eventually.
  259. [04:28] TA: Fuck off, ]'m not gonna argue w]th a fuck]ng stone wa[[. You th]nk you're so god damn smart, the on[y way ] can conv]nce you ]s w]th a b[ade ]n your prote]n chute.
  260. [04:28] -- curatorialInsight [CI] shakes her head, turning away. She glances back. --
  261. [04:29] CI: Actually, I'm n(o)t nearly as st(o)ny as y(o)u think I am. Y(o)ur assessment (o)f the Plague Wars was quite astute. Redlance really -was- inc(o)mptent.
  262. [04:30] TA: Of fuck]ng course ]'m -astute.-You've just got your head so far up your ass that you can't see ]t ]n every [etter ]'ve carefu[[y burnt ]nto those documents.
  263. [04:30] CI: I w(o)nder wh(o) is truly blind.
  264. [04:31] TA: My guess ]s your [usus. You know. Hav]ng no sp]ne and a[[. P[us no fuck]n' b[ood pump.
  265. [04:31] TA: Probab[y went b[]nd or some sh]t. ] dunno rea[[y.
  266. [04:31] TA: Po]nt ]s, ] [augh at your pa]n.
  267. [04:32] -- curatorialInsight's [CI'S] fingers trail over the table -- and grab a butcherknife, which she holds in one white-knuckled hand as she crosses the space with a few swift steps. The knife goes to his throat. --
  268. [04:32] CI: Let me tell y(o)u what happens when s(o)mething is paralysed.
  269. [04:32] CI: They l(o)se the ability t(o) c(o)ntr(o)l anything.
  270. [04:32] TA: ]nc[ud]ng bowe[s, r]ght? Bahaha!
  271. [04:33] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] snorts in laughter, trying not to move his neck -quite- so much. --
  272. [04:33] -- curatorialInsight [CI] presses it against his throat, slowly, deliberately. She's not smiling. --
  273. [04:33] CI: Yes. And muscles. They are at the mercy (o)f gravity and the land ar(o)und them.
  274. [04:34] CI: But they are still able t(o) see. The head retains full functi(o)n. The mind is fully able t(o) pr(o)cess what their b(o)dy cann(o)t...
  275. [04:34] CI: ... that they have been pierced in s(o) -very- many places...
  276. [04:34] CI: ... that they are bleeding (o)ut...
  277. [04:34] CI: ... that they will inevitably die.
  278. [04:35] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] remains quiet due to the blade, but is very visibly controlling himself from spitting out another smart remark. --
  279. [04:35] CI: Y(o)u cann(o)t laugh at s(o)mething y(o)u cann(o)t understand. Y(o)u, in y(o)ur ign(o)rance, lash (o)ut at anything bef(o)re y(o)u.
  280. [04:35] CI: I sh(o)uld kill y(o)u f(o)r what y(o)u have d(o)ne, and take up y(o)ur place in this c(o)smic gambit.
  281. [04:36] CI: It w(o)uld n(o)t be difficult. N(o)t fr(o)m what I have seen.
  282. [04:36] CI: And I have seen s(o) very... -very-... much.
  283. [04:39] CI: The (o)nly thing between y(o)u and a miserable, shameful death is my (o)wn curi(o)sity.
  284. [04:39] CI: -Pray- it remains.
  285. [04:39] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] rolls his eyes again, sticking his tongue out at her. --
  286. [04:40] -- curatorialInsight [CI] snags it between two claws, lifting the knife from his throat to the underside of his tongue. --
  287. [04:40] CI: It w(o)uld be much easier if we g(o)t rid (o)f this pesky little thing, w(o)uldn't it?
  288. [04:40] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] shrugs. --
  289. [04:41] -- curatorialInsight [CI] shakes her head, and presses it to the knife, just enough to split the skin before she releases it. --
  290. [04:41] CI: Y(o)u sh(o)uldn't be s(o) flippant, y(o)u kn(o)w.
  291. [04:41] CI: Y(o)ur flesh is (o)n the line!
  292. [04:42] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] takes the chance to hawk another glob of blood from his mouth onto the floor. --
  293. [04:42] -- curatorialInsight [CI] is cheerful again. She's crazy. She must be crazy. --
  294. [04:42] -- curatorialInsight [CI] does, thankfully, step aside of that. --
  295. [04:42] TA: So, wh][e ] was tun]ng you out there, d]d you fuck]ng say anyth]ng of actua[ fuck]ng ]mportance?
  296. [04:43] TA: ] mean ]t just k]nda sounds []ke a buzz]ng no]se after a wh][e.
  297. [04:43] TA: ]t's a[[ fuck]ng "B[ah b[ah you suck b[ah b[ah ]'m smart b[ah b[ah."
  298. [04:43] -- curatorialInsight [CI] snarls, and just outright -punches- him. She does not have fistkind, and she is notably not a brawler, so it probably doesn't shatter anything. --
  299. [04:43] CI: Y(o)u will -n(o)t- belittle me.
  300. [04:44] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] snorts, shaking off the untrained hit. --
  301. [04:44] TA: You ca[[ that a punch? ]'ve seen wr]gg[ers f]ght better.
  302. [04:44] TA: Wr]gg[ers probab[y KNOW more about actua[ sh]t than you do, come to th]nk of ]t.
  303. [04:44] CI: Y(o)u're right. I really sh(o)uldn't use the weap(o)ns (o)f plebes.
  304. [04:45] -- curatorialInsight [CI] gestures, grabs her tome from her strife deck, and hits him with -that-, square in the gut. --
  305. [04:46] CI: As f(o)r kn(o)wing things... I am a crusht(o)dian. I guard the kn(o)wledge (o)f ten th(o)usand sweeps and m(o)re fr(o)m unw(o)rthy seekers.
  306. [04:46] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] lets out an 'OOF!' of air as his insides threaten to upheave their contents in protest. --
  307. [04:48] TA: You don't know sh]t....about sh]t. A[[ you got ]s dumb book smarts.
  308. [04:49] TA: You wou[dn't even [ast f]ve seconds under a rea[ god damn ]nterrogat]on.
  309. [04:49] CI: I d(o) believe, little bird, that 'kn(o)wing shit' as y(o)u s(o) -banally- say is the very definiti(o)n (o)f intelligence gained fr(o)m b(o)(o)ks.
  310. [04:49] CI: And I m(o)st definitely -w(o)uld-!
  311. [04:50] CI: I kn(o)w the techniques used by all (o)f the spies wh(o) lived l(o)ng en(o)ugh t(o) write ab(o)ut it. And I am familiar with all (o)f the meth(o)ds p(o)sited by the m(o)st ruthless (o)f rulers.
  312. [04:51] TA: A]n't got exper]ence. You don't know pa]n, fuckwad. Books can't teach you that.
  313. [04:51] -- curatorialInsight [CI] rolls her eyes, and lifts her robes to expose her leg. It's been bound, but jade blood still soaks through the bandages. --
  314. [04:51] CI: I live with the undead h(o)unding my d(o)(o)r every day.
  315. [04:52] CI: I kn(o)w pain.
  316. [04:52] TA: That a]n't pa]n, you p]ece of sh]t! That's a damn F[ESH wound!
  317. [04:52] TA: Go break a coup[e bones, [ose a [ot of b[ood, come back and ta[k to me.
  318. [04:53] -- curatorialInsight [CI] drops the knife to the floor in favour of simply -grabbing- his jaw, pulling his gaze up to look at her. --
  319. [04:53] CI: D(o) y(o)u understand the -terr(o)r- inherent in desert life, little man?!
  320. [04:53] TA: See]ng as ] a]n't a god damn pansy, guess ] don't.
  321. [04:53] TA: Why? You gonna cry?
  322. [04:53] CI: D(o) y(o)u understand the fear inv(o)ked by things which will take punishment en(o)ugh t(o) kill a seadweller -- and still rise?!

  354. [05:02] -- curatorialInsight [CI] grabs the knife from the floor and thrusts it forward -- but not quite far enough. It pierces the skin of his chest... and goes no further, as she breathes heavily, glaring at the blade. --
  355. [05:02] CI: There's n(o) way it's s(o)me(o)ne like y(o)u, s(o) I will, I really will...

  359. [05:04] -- curatorialInsight's [CI'S] hands shake as she takes the knife, slashes him across the chest -- but despite being deep enough to draw blood, it's still too shallow to sever muscle. --
  360. [05:05] -- turbulentAnnihilator [TA] grunts, but still manages a smirk. --
  361. [05:05] TA: You try]ng to b[eed me or someth]ng? We'[[ be here a[[ n]ght at th]s rate!

  366. [05:07] -- curatorialInsight [CI] takes the knife -- and it goes -past- him, to one of the ropes binding him. She slices that one rope in twain, drops the knife to the floor, and turns to leave. --

  376. [05:11] CI: Even if y(o)u want t(o) yell and scream and thr(o)w tables and axes...
