- Brian_Carter
- So I guess I head back into the mines.
- @DM_TZIVOS
- After walking through the mines for a few minutes, you arrive at the previously mentioned wall of gears
- Brian_Carter
- O...kay.
- Are there any crows nearby?
- @DM_TZIVOS
- There aren't any crows working nearby, leading to the logical assumption that every last miner was in that meeting
- Brian_Carter
- Hmm...
- You try touching the symbol.
- @DM_TZIVOS
- The clock tower symbol, which stretches from the bottom to the top of the wall, glows a soft red as you touch it. Looking closer at the wall, which towers over you by twice your height, you notice a small handle within the door of the clock tower
- Brian_Carter
- You give the handle a tug/twist, whichever seems appropriate.
- @DM_TZIVOS
- You reach through a small opening in the door and grasp the handle, tugging on it to no avail before twisting it counterclockwise, failing to budge it, and then clockwise
- the handle rotates a full 180 degrees, and upon stopping, steam pours out of the wall with a loud *hiss* as a large divide appears down the middle
- the wall, which you can now see is an elaborate door mechanism, opens inward into a dark room
- Brian_Carter
- Well, with nothing else around here, you head inwards.
- @DM_TZIVOS
- Upon setting foot into the room, the doors behind you automatically swing shut as the room is lit up by light sources within the walls, illuminating a huge, rotund clockwork automaton standing in the center of the room, with a singular sphere which could only be described as an eye
- once the room is fully lit, the automaton's eye focuses on you
- Brian_Carter
- "Umm, sup."
- @DM_TZIVOS
- steam begins pouring from its joints and body as it whirs to life
- roll initiative

- ===LEVEL UP!==
- Brian_Carter
- Done leveling.
- Okay... That thing packed a fucking punch.
- Luckily this armor reduced a bit of the damage.
- @DM_TZIVOS
- With your attention no longer on the automaton, you can see a few things of note:
- a pedestal next to the automaton's initial location, four small clock faces on its top aligned in a basic rhombus-diamond shape with a small plus in a circle at the center,
- a large door in the center of the northern wall, a rhombus-diamond shaped symbol above it with intersecting diagonals inside the shape,
- and two doors, one on the left side of the northern wall and one on the right side.
- Brian_Carter
- Wonderful, a puzzle.
- Let's do the simple solution
- You rotate the plus symbol 45 degrees
- @DM_TZIVOS
- the plus symbol doesn't budge from its spot
- Brian_Carter
- Why can't things be easy
- Fuck it. You patch yourself up a little bit.
- ==SHORT REST==
- Brian_Carter
- 28 healed
- Alright let's go to the door on the right.
- @DM_TZIVOS
- The door to the right is not locked
- Brian_Carter
- the door in the center is.
- duh
- That's the puzzle door
- the door to either a boss or a reward
- we're going through the right door for now
- @DM_TZIVOS
- thank you for the necessary clarification
- Going through the door, you enter a barren medium sized room
- A large section of the eastern wall, which stretches from one end to the other and is about your height, contains a large disconnected pipeline
- ==explanation time==
- the wall is 5x5 "units" long
- the large pipe begins at the bottom right corner and goes up 3 units, turning and pointing to the right on the third unit. There is a gear with a small handle located just above the turning point
- next to the first turning point, on its left, a section of pipe extends for two units, turning and pointing down on the second unit
- there is a gear with a small handle located next to the second turning point
- above the second turning point, a section of pipe extends upward for 2 units, turning to the left on the second unit and extending from there to the other end of the wall, which abruptly cuts off into a passageway. To the right of the third turning point, a section of pipe extends to the right ending at the right side of the wall. There is a small gear with a handle above the third turning point
- Brian_Carter
- ;-;\
- this is such a simple puzzle
- i literally turn the things to connect the pipeline
- i just dont feel like decyphering your text
- i know how to do it
- literally i turn the three gears until the pipes connect
- @DM_TZIVOS
- You do that. The first gear, after some fiddling, is rotated counterclockwise, causing the first turning point to rotate and connect to the second section of pipe.
- The second gear, after more fiddling, is rotated clockwise, causing the second turning point to rotate upward and connect to the third section of pipe.
- I'm assuming you leave the third gear untouched, leaving the third turning point connected to the leftward section of pipe.
- Brian_Carter
- i guess
- @DM_TZIVOS
- a valve can be seen on the first section of pipe at the bottom right corner
- Brian_Carter
- pump the pipe
- @DM_TZIVOS
- you turn the valve and the sound of rushing steam fills the pipes, causing them to shake slightly as steam flows through them, eventually reaching the left end of the wall
- a *hissing* sound can be heard from the passage
- Brian_Carter
- joy
- @DM_TZIVOS
- gain 100 exp for solving the easy puzzle
- Brian_Carter
- but wait
- what about the pipeline that goes to the right wall
- you turn the 3rd one again and pump again
- @DM_TZIVOS
- Steam flows through the rightward section of pipe and the sound of gears whirring to life can be heard
- @DM_TZIVOS
- after a few seconds, a small section of the eastern wall opens to reveal a small container of a clear liquid.
- @DM_TZIVOS
- gain X1 COOLANT PACK
- healing item - can be consumed as a minor action in combat or freely out of combat, heals 1d8+con hp
- Brian_Carter
- free hit dice wooooo
- You take a note of the captchacode for it as well.
- @DM_TZIVOS
- you now know the code for the COOLING DRINK
- Brian_Carter
- Okay you rotate the 3rd wheel back to the correct position to move onwards and pump again
- @DM_TZIVOS
- you hear the same *hissing* sound from the passage as before. Brief note: The passage points to the northeast
- Brian_Carter
- You follow said path
- @DM_TZIVOS
- you head through the now-opened passage into another dimly lit room
- the sound of steam hissing and gears whirring accompanies the illumination of the room as you find yourself face to face with another huge automaton

- Checkin out this room and stuff.
- @DM_TZIVOS
- The room is medium sized and simple in design, with a few small piles of gears and pipes in different corners of the room. On the northern wall there is a simply metal door
- Brian_Carter
- One entrance, one exit
- nothing important.
- You take the northern door.
- DM_TZIVOS
- heading through the door, you end up in a long room spanning from west to east, the northern wall covered in ten long, large pipes with valves at their bases, twisting and turning throughout the ceiling and walls of the room. In the far right corner of the room, you can see a circular grate on the floor.
- on the floor in front of the pipes and valves are two lines of text
- one reading, "One branch becomes two, multiplied further and the way open will be clear"
- the other reading, "The peak of the mountain is destroyed 3 pieces at a time to reveal the treasure within"
- each valve has a symbol, starting from left and going to the right
- you can pretty much tell that they're numbers of some kind
- the leftmost symbol is small and simple, and as you go further right, the symbols become larger and more complex, the rightmost symbol being the most complex and biggest of them all
- Brian_Carter
- You turn valves 1, 4, 7, and 10
- DM_TZIVOS
- steam begins to pour through the valves, causing them to quiver and shake as they provide energy to an unseen mechanism
- you hear the sound of gears turning and whirring to life as a cubby in the wall opens to reveal another pack of cooling liquid
- GAIN X1 COOLANT PACK
- Brian_Carter
- okay
- You close valves 7 and 10, and open valves 2 and 8.
- DM_TZIVOS
- steam stops flowing through 4 and 7 and begins flowing through 2 and 8. More gears whir to life and you hear the sound of metal scraping against itself as the grate in the corner of the room noisily slides open, another pedestal with four clock faces on it emerging from beneath.
- gain 100 exp
- there is something different about the clock faces this time, however
- Brian_Carter
- Do explain.
- DM_TZIVOS
- looking closer, you see that the bottom clock's hands are aligned with one hand from both the right and left clocks, and the top clock's hands aren't aligned with anything. A small light glows from underneath the left clock
- Brian_Carter
- You have no idea what any of this means.
- Brian_Carter
- Is there anything to interact with on this one? Or is it just basically a map of the place?
- DM_TZIVOS
- glowing light
- Brian_Carter
- You boop the light, sure.
- DM_TZIVOS
- you boop the left clock and the hands move ever so slightly
- Brian_Carter
- is that it
- DM_TZIVOS
- hint: "the hands move ever so slightly"
- Brian_Carter
- You boop it again
- DM_TZIVOS
- you boop the left clock again and the hands move ever so slightly again
- Brian_Carter
- okay fine more specifically
- You boop the left clock enough until the hand on the bottom clock that is aligned with the left clock is aligned with the top clock.
- We're gonna have to backtrack all the way to the other side of the dungeon to do the same with the right clock, I see.
- DM_TZIVOS
- you do a lot of booping and only the hands on the left clock keep moving, which I should have previously mentioned
- Brian_Carter
- wait what
- okay now I dont understand this puzzle at all
- DM_TZIVOS
- you booped the left clock, and the hands on the left clock kept slightly moving
- one hand on the left clock and right clock are aligned with the hands on the bottom clock
- whereas the top clock's hands aren't aligned with anything
- Brian_Carter
- But the bottom clock's one hand doesn't move with the left clock when I boop it?
- DM_TZIVOS
- no, it doesn't
- Brian_Carter
- this puzzle makes zero sense
- You keep booping it until something happens
- DM_TZIVOS
- you boop the left clock repeatedly and the left clock's hands barely move each time. Maybe try moving the hands
- Brian_Carter
- WHAT HANDS
- DM_TZIVOS
- the left clock's hands
- Brian_Carter
- i figured they'd be covered by something
- DM_TZIVOS
- they're not
- Brian_Carter
- you move the hands until something happens
- DM_TZIVOS
- you move the left clock's hands around until they lock into position; one hand is aligned with the hand on the bottom clock and the other hand is sitting perpendicular to the first hand, pointing at the top clock.
- a second after the hands lock into place, you feel the ground shaking intensely.
- the quaking subsides after a minute.
- Brian_Carter
- Where was the ground shaking from
- DM_TZIVOS
- from very far to your left
- Brian_Carter
- So probably in the left clock room.
- Well, we'll have to head there eventually.
- But for now, you press forwards.
- DM_TZIVOS
- you find a door with steam softly pouring out of its corners, presumably unlocked from solving the puzzle, on the southern wall behind you
- Brian_Carter
- wasn't it to the north
- I came from the south.
- DM_TZIVOS
- it's an additional door
- turning to face the southern wall, you can see the door you came from far to your right
- Brian_Carter
- what about the grate to the right? Has that changed at all?
- DM_TZIVOS
- not at all
- Brian_Carter
- Well, forward progress.
- You enter.
- DM_TZIVOS
- You enter and find yourself in what appears to be a storage room of sorts, with metal crates and piles of gears, clocks, springs, and screws sitting along the walls
- an automaton no bigger than you is rifling through one of the crates at the other end of the room, assisted by a foam-bag lich and a foam-gloves basilisk

- Brian_Carter
- ok
- I look around the room.
- Exhausted from that fight, in which I missed like, 6 punches in a row.
- DM_TZIVOS
- The room is a simple lounge area of sorts, containing miscellaneous empty shelving units and rigid metal chairs around the edges of the room. On the western wall there is a large door, slightly ajar
- Brian_Carter
- Well, I patch myself up.
- ==SHORT REST==
- DM_TZIVOS
- the way forward is open, what will you do next?
- Brian_Carter
- Proceed forward, duh.
- DM_TZIVOS
- you proceed forward into a long room extending to the north, and you can immediately see that there is another door on the northern end of the eastern wall from which you just came. On the western wall there is a large, uncovered clock with both hands pointing to 12, and opposite to it on the eastern wall, in between the two doors, is an equally big clock with it's hands aligned to the 6:30 position. The room is lined with tables and desks covered in stray gears and mechanical pieces of junk
- in a corner of the room, you can see another circular grate on the floor
- Brian_Carter
- let's try the obvious
- you move the hands on the clock to 6:30
- DM_TZIVOS
- the hands click into place and you hear the sound of whirring gears as a small cubby reveals itself in one of the tables

- Brian_Carter
- oh okay
- Brian_Carter
- You check out the stuff on the tables
- DM_TZIVOS

- DM_TZIVOS
- You're unable to recognize anything that could be useful
- Brian_Carter
- of course not.
- So, there's literally zero hints for me here
- DM_TZIVOS
- Looking at the glass material covering the east clock, you can see that it is surprisingly reflective. You can see the west clock in the reflection
- Brian_Carter
- But, that still offers no advice
- DM_TZIVOS
- looking closer, you can see that the reflections of the tables and materials on them are mirrored/reversed
- Brian_Carter
- This gives me zero things to help with.
- The mirror image of 6:30 is still 6:30
- DM_TZIVOS
- try moving the west clock's hands and see what happens
- Brian_Carter
- I try moving the west clock's hands to like 3:15
- DM_TZIVOS
- the reflection in the glass-like material shows a mirrored/reversed image where the hands are aligned to 9:15
- Brian_Carter
- okay but
- this still does literally nothing for me
- it's just a cool fact
- DM_TZIVOS
- try moving the west clock's hands to 6:30 and see what happens
- Brian_Carter
- I already did?
- and I got a coolant pack?
- DM_TZIVOS
- look at the reflection this time
- Brian_Carter
- you do that
- DM_TZIVOS
- the reflection shows the hands reversed, pointing to 5:30
- Brian_Carter
- you move the hands to 530
- DM_TZIVOS
- the hands lock into place, the reflection showing them pointing to 6:30, and the room rumbles as gears whir to life and steam hisses. Steam pours from the second door on the eastern wall and you hear the sound of metal grating against itself as the metal grate in the corner slides open and another pedestal with four clock faces on it rises from the floor
- gain 200 exp
- Brian_Carter
- Let me make a guess
- The right clock face is glowing.
- DM_TZIVOS
- correct. A small light glows from underneath the right clock face, which is uncovered while the other clock faces are locked into place
- Brian_Carter
- Well, anyways
- You align the right clock similarly how you did with the left
- lining up the hands with the hands from the top and bottom clocks
- DM_TZIVOS
- the right clock's hands click into place once they are aligned, and you feel the floor quaking as a huge rumbling sound can be heard to the east
- Brian_Carter
- you proceed through the north-most door on the east wall
- DM_TZIVOS
- heading through the north-most door on the east wall, you find yourself in a room filled with worktables and large, inactive machinery lining the walls. At the northeastern corner of the room, there is a large twin-door with two moderately large, uncovered clocks to its left and right sides and a series of gears on the eastern wall next to the right clock with three distinctly empty slots (top/mid/bottom) for gears to fit inside.
- a pattern depicting a circle with two right triangles is evenly divided across the twin-door
- both clocks' hands are pointing to 12
- the left triangle's hypotenuse points southwest
- the right triangle's hypotenuse points northeast
- Brian_Carter
- You try moving one of the clock hands and seeing what happens
- DM_TZIVOS
- nothing immediately happens upon moving a clock hand
- Brian_Carter
- You check your backpack for anything useful.
- DM_TZIVOS
- inside the backpack which you received for the recon mission (and forgot about), you find food, drinks, survival tools such as rope, a small hatchet, etc.. and a small case of medical supplies
- Brian_Carter
- Nope, nothing that could solve this puzzle.
- you try moving the hands to 6:45, and 3:00 respectively
- DM_TZIVOS
- The clock hands click into place and steam pours out from behind the clocks as they swing outward, revealing two gears that are perfectly sized for the previously mentioned empty slots
- Brian_Carter
- Only two?
- but there are three slots?
- DM_TZIVOS
- looking closer at the slots, the middle slot is deeper than the other two
- Brian_Carter
- Well first
- you try putting the gears in the top and bottom slots
- DM_TZIVOS
- the gears smoothly slide into place, a soft light glowing from the center of both gears
- Brian_Carter
- You take them both out and attempt putting both in the middle slot
- DM_TZIVOS
- they slide just as smoothly into the slot, and a stronger light glows from the center of the top gear
- Brian_Carter
- You remove one of the gears and place it in the top slot.
- DM_TZIVOS
- light stops glowing from either gear
- Brian_Carter
- Anything?
- DM_TZIVOS
- neither gear emits any light from their center in their current positions
- Brian_Carter
- Ugh
- you take all the gears out, and search the room for more of them
- There's gotta be more gears.
- DM_TZIVOS
- you don't find any more gears, but you do find a small lever underneath the right clock
- Brian_Carter
- Oh, alright.
- You put both gears in the center again and pull the lever.
- DM_TZIVOS
- the gears covering the east wall whir to life and a small cubby opens in the twin-door

- gain 250 exp
- and discover that the twin-door opened into a closed off passage identical to the last one
- that you encountered
- Brian_Carter
- So another dead end.
- How typical.
- You backtrack to the south room again.
- DM_TZIVOS
- nothing much has changed, except the rhombus shape above the center-door is emitting a soft red glow from the bottom, right, and left points
- Brian_Carter
- Well then
- You head to the right, see if that dead end has changed.
- DM_TZIVOS
- firstly, you notice that the alignment of the rooms has changed, as if they were rotated 90 degrees
- secondly, the dead end has been opened
- Brian_Carter
- You proceed.
- DM_TZIVOS
- after walking through the passage, you find yourself in a large room with gears, bolts, nuts, and screws piled up higher than yourself all along the walls.
- in the center of the room stands a humanoid automaton about as big as you, completely inactive
- Brian_Carter
- That it?
- You proceed in, with caution.
- DM_TZIVOS
- nothing in the room responds or reacts
- Brian_Carter
- You walk up to the automaton and check it out.
- DM_TZIVOS
- the automaton is surprisingly detailed, with what appears to be a fully structured mechanical face as well as intricately woven gears and mechanisms all throughout its body
- Brian_Carter
- More detail?
- DM_TZIVOS
- as you lean in to get a closer look, the automaton's hand suddenly grabs ahold of your arm with lightning speed. For a split instant, you hear a faint whirring before you feel something small pierce your skin.
- it quickly releases its grip and you hear the sound of gears whirring to life from within its metal frame
- you notice that a small drop of blood is forming where the automaton grabbed you

- Brian_Carter
- Alright. I look around the room now. Wondering how the hell that happened.
- DM_TZIVOS
- To the north, a large pile of rubble, gears, nuts, etc... falls apart upon the automaton's destruction, revealing a door
- Brian_Carter
- Well, nothing fancy. You proceed.
- DM_TZIVOS
- You enter a room that appears to be a laboratory/diagnostics room of sorts, with empty tables lining the room and broken shelving and storage units laying on their sides. On the northern wall, there are three large clocks that appear to be powered off, and connecting to the clocks from the adjacent east wall, there are five steam pipes with what appear to be numbered markings.
- the markings go from left to right in number size
- above the pipes, there are two small illustrations
- visual aide will be provided
- DM_TZIVOS
- the first illustration depicts a small bird hopping across the markings from the fifth to the third to the first and backward to the second and the fourth
- the second illustration depicts a small bird zig-zagging downwards to the first, fifth, second, fourth, then third markings.
- there are valves on each pipe
- Brian_Carter
- So first, you turn them in the order: 5, 3, 1, 2, 4
- DM_TZIVOS
- Steam flows through the pipes and you hear a series of high pitched sounds as the three large clocks light up in their centers, steam pouring from the edges
- Brian_Carter
- 1, 5, 2, 4, 3
- DM_TZIVOS
- A low droning sound can be heard as steam pours through the pipes in an audibly different direction, before a large cubby is opened in the nearby wall
- GAIN X3 COOLANT PACKS
- Brian_Carter
- And you do 5, 3, 1, 2, 4 again
- DM_TZIVOS
- the high pitched sounds resume as the clocks light up in their centers. Looking more closely, you can see that each clock has a symbol identical to some of the symbols on the clock pedestals. The left clock shares the same symbol as the bottom pedestal clock, the middle clock shares the same symbol as the left pedestal clock, and the right clock shares the same symbol as the right pedestal clock
- all three clocks are uncovered
- Brian_Carter
- Do the times match the ones I've lined up on the pedestals?
- DM_TZIVOS
- no. The left clock's hands are both pointing to 9, the middle clock's hands are pointing to 12 and 6, and the right clock's hands are both pointing to 3
- Brian_Carter
- Welp
- You arrange the left clock to be a V, the middle clock to be a <, and the right clock to be a >
- DM_TZIVOS
- each clocks' hands locks into place with a series of *clicks* and the room softly rumbles as you hear the sound of metal grating against itself.
- At one of the tables in the center of the room, the face of a clock pedestal emerges
- At the back of the room, a hidden door in the wall opens
- Brian_Carter
- You ignore the pedestal for a while, and check out the hidden room.
- DM_TZIVOS
- the hidden room appears to be a small locker room of sorts, almost entirely empty except for a single closed locker at the end
- Brian_Carter
- And in said locker?
- DM_TZIVOS
- in the locker you find...
- THE PNEUMATIC GRAPNEL
- T5 grappling hook accessory. This strange device, as long as your forearm and made from smooth wood and curving metal pieces, resembles a grappling hook you’d see in a video game. At its end, there is a rotating axis, from which extends three vertically aligned hooks, connected to a gear mechanism held in place by sturdy metal plating, which is connected to the device’s smooth wooden handles and arm supports. The trigger is located in what looks like a brass knuckle refitted into a handle for the device
- High-powered Hook: The Grapnel, being a grappling hook, can hook onto various objects, ledges, protrusions, and even railings within a 30 ft. range. When grappling onto an object, you either roll athletics or spend move speed equal to the distance you’re grappling. When grappling onto a railing that is above ground, you perform the same action as before, but you gain double move speed while moving along the railing
- You also gain the move-set of a plain T4 Hookchainkind while wielding this, and you are proficient in using it.
- wielding the Grapnel requires one hand, although you can still perform basic fistkind combos while equipping it
- ==GRAPNEL MECHANICS DISCUSSION ENSUES==
- Brian_Carter
- Alright then. You latch the hook onto your left arm. You're right handed anyways.
- DM_TZIVOS
- the grapnel latches on for a snug but comfortable fit
- Brian_Carter
- Returning to the other room, you check out the pedestal
- DM_TZIVOS
- the top clock face, which is uncovered, glows slightly
- Brian_Carter
- Yeah, I figured.
- You adjust it to form a ^
- Bracing for room rotation rumbling.
- DM_TZIVOS
- the hands lock into place with a *click*
- .
- .
- .
- and suddenly all four clock faces glow brightly with a pulsating red light
- the light slowly creeps to the center, in between all four clocks, and it explodes with light for a split instant
- the ground quakes intensely as you feel the room shifting and moving
- after a minute, everything goes quiet
- the clock faces continue to glow
- gain 500 exp
- Brian_Carter
- Well then.
- You proceed counterclockwise back to the southern room.
- DM_TZIVOS
- The rhombus shape above the door is fully illuminated and the door is open, revealing a large staircase descending into darkness
- Brian_Carter
- Well, here goes... something/
- You proceed.
- DM_TZIVOS
- You walk down the stairs for what feels like hours, the stairs extending with no limit to how far they can go. The further you walk, lights begin to activate on either side, revealing walls covered in withered illustrations of the clockwork automatons and the clock tower in the center of Quill's home city. The automatons are depicted carrying strange gears and mechanical pieces away from the clock tower
- As the lights grow brighter and more numerous, you feel your head grow clear
- the stairs aren't nearly as long as they seem, and you're almost at the end
- after another minute of descending, you reach the bottom of the stairs and find yourself in a small hallway leading to a grand twin-door
- Brian_Carter
- Well, this is it.
- DM_TZIVOS
- on the right side of the hallway, there is an indentation about as large as you
- Brian_Carter
- You check out the indentation.
- DM_TZIVOS
- it appears to be an upright table of sorts with straps and various bits of medical machinery visible from the edges
- Brian_Carter
- Well, seeing as it's made for you, you strap yourself in.
- DM_TZIVOS
- Within a few seconds, the table detects your presence and whirs to life. The medical machinery works surprisingly quickly, but noisily, pricking you here and there, taking small samples, and then administering treatment for your wounds, injecting you with what feels like a painkiller and applying healing salve to any open wounds before bandaging them tightly
- after a few minutes of operation, the machine concludes its process and releases you
- heal to full health
- Brian_Carter
- You step out, and prepare to enter the room.
- "Full heal before a big door? Boss time."
- Brian_Carter
- You open the doors and enter.
- "Let's do this shit."
- DM_TZIVOS
- The doors loudly creak open as you enter a huge, open area, 90 feet in diameter. At the very center sits a gargantuan automaton, currently inactive, and at the far end of the room, atop an elevated platform, stands another, much smaller automaton, raising its arms in front of four giant, distinct gears which glow an intense red
- the automaton on the platform notices your entry and turns to face you, its arms still raised upright
- DM_TZIVOS
- the room reverberates as it unleashes a sound that is simultaneously deep and droning, piercing you to your gut, and high pitched and wailing, causing you to grasp at your ears to block the sound
- as the sound continues, the four gears are suddenly grasped by a winding series of arms and gears protruding from the back of the gargantuan automaton
- they fly at a blinding speed and impact the automaton with an immense force, shaking it violently as the gears are assimilated into it
- as each gear locks into place with a resounding *CLICK*, the automaton on the platform slowly grows weaker and crumbles to the ground as the gargantuan automaton slowly rises
- The gears lock into place at the gargantuan automaton's waist, shoulders, then at the back of its head
- Brian_Carter
- "Well, that was easy. Everyone knows you kill Ornstein first anyways."
- DM_TZIVOS
- upon the final gear locking into place, the automaton stands fully upright at 60 ft. tall and unleashes a mechanical roar that causes the ground to quake
- its eyes glow a burning red as they lock onto you

- DM_TZIVOS
- the railings are suspended 5 feet in front of the walls, which means they are currently too far away from the colossus for you to slide along them to its waist
- also the boss is renamed to the CLOCKWORK COLOSSUS
- Brian_Carter
- Athletics it is then.
