The Giant struck so mainly merciless,
That could have overthrown a stony tower,
And were not heavenly grace, that him did bless,
He had been powdered all, as thin as flour:
But he was wary of that deadly stour,
And lightly leapt from underneath the blow:
Yet so exceeding was the villain's power,
That with the wind it did him overthrow,
And all his senses astound, that still he lay full low.
