- [21:17] Working alone was not always ideal. But, at the end of the day, it did have its perks. She knew very well the strength of her own too hands, the sharpness of her wits.
- Other hands, while their expertise in areas might have come in handy, added unseen elements to matters. Without them, she knew better the gauge of her own work.
- There were those more versed in the matters of the spiritual, matters which she pointedly avoided like the Saekanite Plague. Those of metal and her craft are what she knows.
- And it's for these things that she retreats to her subterranean workshop. Always a safe haven, a refuge, down in the dark.
- She shrugs off her cloak, her bow, and with the merest touch she begins stoking the flames of her cold, dead forge to life.
- It was time for business.

- [21:20] Katrin was no strange to working in leather. Nor was she a stranger in working with arcanium. Lunar arcanium, however, was another matter.
- She hefts it in her hand, feels it against her flesh, and hums. The artificer needs no metal magic to know its difference from any other arcanium; she can feel it clearly. That spot of cosmic magic she has at her beck and call makes it all the more keen, a tingle against her bare palm.
- The hide of the great bear, however, she treads carefully around. If Ty'raj was to be believed, it was not a thing to be trifled with.
- As she forms the hunks of lunar arcanium into separate ingots she eyes it warily.

- [21:23] It was not the first time she's dealt with things of a generally spiritual nature. No matter what her craft necessitated she would attempt it, in order to push her horizons further with each task. At least this one, however, seemed less sentient, less likely to try and burn her to bits.
- She'll have to scrounge around for someone to assist with that. Moxtli was rife with them, and at least she still had good rapport there.
- One by one she takes the smaller ingots and hammers them into thin plates. One for each pectoral, another for the belly, and a final one for the back.

- [21:27] The average arcanium plate, as she knows, typically takes three hunks of anything of substance. Ty'raj had left her with two pieces of the moon arcanium.
- It did seem fairly sturdy. But that did not mean she wished to sacrifice quality and durability.
- In lieu of such an egregious affront, she plans around the addition of the bear pelt. A long cloak, she envisions, cascading down the back and over the shoulders.
- In that way she makes the back plate of arcanium a bit thinner than she might normally- it will additionally be protected by the draping hide anyhow. No doubt, as large and shaggy as it is, it will go over the shoulders too.
- A little less over the arms, a little less on the back. Quality without sacrificing too much. Katrin will not stand for her name on shoddy work.

- [21:30] The individual pieces come together. The pectorals, the belly, the back. She marks out the edges with a smear of thin, powdery flux.
- As she hovers the dusted edges of the armor plates over the forge flame, heating them up, the powder begins to fizzle. Then she jams the individual plates together, heats it further, and effectively welds all the separate parts.
- It takes her time. It takes effort and no small amount of sweat, but it ensures the joints between them might be sturdy.
