Thoughts on shadow Paloma

Shadow Paloma encompasses all of Paloma's repressed rage, lust and selfishness. For sweeps she has been pushed around by friends who take advantage of her generosity, and her resentment towards them is shown in her shadow, who has a dismissive attitude towards friendship. Who needs friends?! Not this shadow. She holds a special grudge towards Cucali, who gave her the worst of her abuse.

S!Paloma has a take-what-you-want attitude with the strength to back it up. The trollish attitude Paloma has been denying in order to be a softy is expressed in her shadow, and she's dangerous because of it. She is not afraid of killing, stealing, maiming or kidnapping - so  long as it gets her what she wants. Paloma's shadow only cares about her own desires. Following this, if what she wants is romantic, she'll take it - no matter the opinion of the troll she's taking from. Relationship imbalance means absolutely nothing to her, if what she does could even be called relationship material.

Shadow Paloma feels empty and powerless, due to Paloma trying to cover up her insecurities with friends. All of her half-buried insecurities about being a helpless, hopeless troll are expressed in shadow Paloma, and she hates Paloma for it. It's an inner conflict which has been drawn into the external.

She can't stand taking responsibility, because she doesn't view anything as her fault. If a problem arises, it's always on someone else's head as far as she's concerned.

An important part of Shadow Paloma, which informs her lustiness and her violence both, is her selfishness. Shadow Paloma truly believes she's entitled to whatever she wants, which reflects Paloma's repressed attitude towards her friendships. Her sin isn't truly lust -- it's greed.
