  1. Day #1 of the expedition. We left in search of Shoegrove. After a while we came to crossroads, where we found directions to Shoegrove, but as we ventured forward, the road turned us around with tricks, we later learned was abjucation school of magic. After arguing for a moment on the how to proceed, we were aproached by a young man in dirty clothing. He introduced himself as Berry (what a fitting name for forest dwelling peon) and told he was part of the local druid hippie colony. He also told us that the magic that turned us around was their work too. I convinced him to take us to his leader to negotiate possibility to proceed to Shogrove, as finding any extra information on the Lich would be extremely valuable.

  3. In the camp we were greeted by barrys commune and their leader, a single horned horse, which seemed to talk telepathically to people, as they were seemingly answering to questions others could not hear. I had to help Grum to explain to the horse why it was important for use to get to Shoegrove and try and find more information, which after few moments to think on, the horse agreed. It also told us that Barney would be showing us the way. And so we were on our way again, past the magic road.

  5. Hour or so later our group was suddenly waylayed by a ferocious sleuth of bears in the forest road. We managed to put these bloodhungry beasts down although I think some creature managed to snatch the purple haired little child that was some reason coming with us... although now that i think about it, she might have been a hallucination as purple haired child seems ridiculous in hind sight. We did not manage to kill the bears without some injuries though. The muscle bound dofus and the lizard got knocked unconcious by the bears, and I got my self mauled. Thank gods for clerics and their healing magic.(side note, i picked some bear claws just to have them for spell later on)

  7. (Personal note, My magic still does not seem to fully be under my control. I tried to burn the bears with bolts of fire, but mostly I just managed to produce Rays of frost. More work required)

  9. Not ten minutes later, around noon, we found the ruins of Shoegrove. As we passed through, what might have been townhall decades, maybe centuries ago, a undead rose from underneath the rubble. He was put down quickly, This undead was relatively fresh for being in this area. Only few decades old, making him much younger than the surrounding ruins.

  11. Beyond the Ruins of the stone structure, we found the tower or Gerals, or what was left of it. What we saw inside gave me some confirmation. that previous owner of this tower, was evil and cruel. Fitting to be a Lich. Half a dozen skeletons strewn about the once tower, leaning against the walls and on the floor. Most notable thing in the towr though was a trap doow leading below. We let gunkork try and open the trapdoor, although he needed to be instructed to remove the latch. As the oaf was removing the latch, some of the skeletons rose up and tried to kill us. This time my magic was slightly more under my control, and it was doing as I was telling it to do, so the skeletons felt the awesome power of House Trewnee. But yet again the lizard got knocked unconcious. IT just looks like it is not built for confrontation. As we put the last skeleton down, we decide to set our camp in to the tower ruin and continue down below when we felt 100% ready.

  13. After our rest we headed down the hatch. Barb went down first as our canary, so if there was something dangerous down there we would have easy time dragging the corpse up for burial. Since Burt did not die immediately, Grum headed down second, followed by Gunkork, the dragonborn, Edran and then myself. As I reached the underground area, which from the smell I assume have been used as some sort of sewage system, a small group of undead zombies attacked out group. I must note here that even though these creatures were in various stages of decomposition, they were still able to move, all be it slowly, and try to tear us apart. Good thing we have had some training dealing with the undead today, so these things were not as treathening as they could have been. After Dealing with the undead, I got to look around and I noticed a large stone door in the hallway, which gunkork tried to bash down with little success, opposite to the small room with the undead, and a small corridoor taking us to a small burial tomb. The tomb was, atleast by general appearance, built for Anelen, which the history books called the wife of the Lich, before he became the lich. On the sargofagus was epitaph that read in elvish "To my dearest Anelen, who will always hold the key to my heart." Also in the far end of the tomb was an relatively old, yet quite highgrade armor. Grum noted that it was not kept up by any sort of armor stand and yet the armor was standing perfectly upright and completely empty. I did my magical prodding and determined it was some sort of magic keeping it upright, although what kind, I am not certain. Grum also noticed that the person carved to the sargofagus was holding a key. After a moment of guessing and pondering we got Erdan to pick the key, as he had the most divine right to disturb the peace of the grave, while rest of us backed to the small room, to have more room to manover if somethign was to come at us. That something did not come, atleast now. We took the key stone door which made the door disappear like the slab was never there. Either Abjucation spell or very convincing illusion. In anycase our way was open to search further this sewage tomb...
