  7. Pichu's goal in neutral:
  8. Pichu is looking to use thunder jolt to keep Bowser away and force him to use more defensive options and punish Bowser with long combo strings on whiff.
  9. Thunder Jolt is the best tool to stop Bowser. Using it offensively can set up for combos while using it defensively moves Bowser away from Pichu which will keep Bowser away from punishing you. On whiff, Pichu can use a grab that can lead into a throw that will lead into combos and a good advantage state. Pichu can also punish whiffs with tilts that can lead into combos (d-tilt and u-tilt). Aerials after a defensive option can also punish Bowser on whiff. All of these options that can lead into neutral can be punished if overused.

  11. Bowser's goal in neutral:
  12. Punish Pichu for misspacing and overuse of certain options to kill quickly.
  13. Bowser's tools are specific depending on where Pichu is. Mix up defensive options against thunder jolt as much as possible since Pichu can easily take advantage of mistakes made. N-air can be a good mix-up provided if they do not expect the cross up. Side-B can go through shields, Up-b racks up damage for kills, tilts for quick punishes. Overuse of any option will lead to punishment which leads into disadvantage. Using Bowser's kit conditions Pichu to use a defensive option when near Bowser which can condition opponents for reads to win neutral. Aerials like f-air can catch Pichu and is safer than most of his kit while smash attacks can power through some attacks. Approaching in the air is preferably since Tough Guy can negate Jolt until 18%.

  19. Spam T-jolt, make Bowser approach. Don't commit to anything, but pressure Bowser so that he commits first, then punish (make them come to you). A very good tool for this is Boost Grabbing, but be careful about Bowser's patterns, since he can bait you and punish that heavily.
  20. Bowser shouldn't get too much hits, but the ones he does get will usually hurt, I'd prefer to be grabbed/caught by side b than getting hit tbh, but crouching may help avoiding those (watch out for d-tilt, down smash and up b tho)
  21. And try to not hit Bowser on shield, since he will up b out of it. Bait the option and punish or tomahawk if you find him going into shield a lot.

  24. You'll probably live up until 180% if you don't get gimped/jablocked into f-smash/read hard, so be patient and try to find patterns in Pichus before approaching."
