- “Panther, we gotta go!” Holding Charlie close to her, Sarah kicked out and dropped through the shattered window, the nylon rope fizzing as she rappelled downward toward safety.
- Her father didn’t hear her. Time had frozen for him, he and Aslanov aiming at each other through the downpour. The Russian’s smile faded, and he pulled the trigger.
