“That’s not up to you. The committee has had recommendation from someone more powerful on who you are to fight.”

“More powerful? You guys are the Hunter committee! Who can be more powerful or influential?”

“I’m sure you’ve seen how strange my son has been acting recently. Let’s just say he’s seen this power. If he can overcome it, I’m sure you can.”

“Of course I can! Bring whoever it is on!”

Of course, Leorio already knew such a person was already nearby. They were in the next room over, running full speed at the door. Zetsu was a powerful ability, and Leorio was getting fairly good at it. This person was as fast as he was, but they seemed to be stronger than him somehow. The person kicked the door to the room off of its hinges and tossed a large round object at Leorio’s head. Knowing this was going to happen, Leorio held his hand up to catch the disc, stopping it in its tracks. He threw back the object just as hard at the person, who caught it in turn. Leorio turns to the person and sees a man clad in red, white, and blue, carrying a shield with the same colors.

“Who the hell are you?” Leorio asks, unamused.

“Captain America. I’ll be your opponent.”

“So, you’re involved with whatever a ‘scramble’ is?”

“Let’s just save that talk until after the fight.”

“Whatever.” Leorio said, a serious expression going over his face. He was not one to shy away from a fight. Leorio removed his glasses and placed them on the ground near the Zodiacs as to make sure they weren’t harmed in the fight. The Zodiacs watched with baited breath as Leorio prepared a fighting stance for the other fighter. Captain America felt a chill down his spine as Leorio used Ren to make his aura surround him, but Leorio felt his aura draining without him even attempting Zetsu. Leorio panicks slightly as Captain America shakes a finger at him.

“Now, now. No cheating. We saw in the past how powerful Gon was when he used his aura to block powerful blows. You won’t get the same luxury.”

“Are you kidding me!? How is that fair?”

“It’s more fair than if you tried to use it. Now we’re even. Don’t worry, your abilities should be intact.”

“Is this your ability?”

“I wasn’t trained in Nen. I’m sure with enough practice I could be skilled, but now is not the time to worry about that. You have a job to do…”

Cap readies his shield.

“…and I do as well.”
