Some random Eltia/Lan/Orchis details

  >  I haven't really ironed out the details, but I feel like it might be a nice idea to have Lan actually lose his sight when he becomes Champion. Thematically it just kinda fits, since losing Arete marks the end of his edgelord phase and the beginning of soul-searching phase. It wouldn't actually be crippling to him specifically, since he can share senses with his Pokémon and Minccino is always by his side. It also means that there's always the option of giving him a nice plotbeat of him regaining the vision in his eyes after some important event. Personally, I hope the firsf thing he sees once he regains it is Eltia. Also it just kinda plays harder into the fairy tail aspect.

  >  Eltia and Orchis actually can't cook. They aren't bad cooks. Fate literally does not allow them to cook. Side effect of dragon blood. Lan in turn has his cooking stat maxed out, since he was the one feeding Eltia and Arete when they were all together. When Eltia's on her own, her Indeedee and Polteageist take care of it. Originally I wanted to give her an Alcreamie but I wanted to keep the triple ghost thing Lan has to mark them both as Arete's pupils.

  >  By the by, Teach/Master finally has a name! It was gonna be Eria but uh, too similar names. In spanish it just means earring, which she notably does wear but the more important meaning is from ancient greek. In that context Arete is a concept meaning excellence of any kind and/or moral virtue. Just fits her, as the absolute ceiling in battle and the person who tried to leave the world a better place even if she couldn't express her emotions very well. Also neatly ties into the four clan heads/gods representing the four virtues. Anka/Lord Vermilion are Fortitude, Vega/Lord Jade are Temperance, Mira(name drop ayy)/Lord Azure are Wisdom, and Ceras/Lord Amber are Justice.

  >  Eltia will wrap her tail around someone for comfort. Normally it's Lan or Arete (by the arm) but it can also be her brother Ceras or Arete's daughter (by the waist). If things get too dicey, she's dragging them away at full speed.

  >  Eltia and Lan technically started out with the same name origin. Lantien is actually just an anagram of Eltanin, which is the name of a character from a different story I have. Lan means orchid, which is where Orchis gets his real name from. Eltia is just Eltanin+Tiamat, who is Kingu's mom in Mesopotamian myth, thus Orchis' stage name. It's also EL TIA (THE AUNT) which just amuses me.

  >  Eltia wasn't a thing when I first thought up Lan, but in a roundabout sorta way they've been connected through their names from the start. It's cute idk. There's another human/dragon bonding story too heh.
