You don't get it. She doesn't order one pizza with 8 slices. She order EIGHT pizzas with eight slices. And usually only eats one! The rest is left to get stale after one night, and no fucking way is Megido going to snarf all that down. Giving it away all the time isn't healthy for anyone either. Serket being irresponsible and neurotic about that stupid number is basically flooding the campus with cheese and grease.

She could at least like, just order jalapeno poppers. But no, it's 8 shots, and then drunk dials 8 fuckin' pizzas.

she couldn't tell you why she cares so much, it's not even the massive debt she owes to Vriska which never gets brought up either no matter how many dinners she's treated to or other odd gifts bought

she'd drink to deal but then she's end up worse than Serket does and frankly she's spent enough nights holding her while she vomits and then cries

never, ever remembers it in the morning and fuck it all Aradia has classes and a PhD to earn she's not gonna wound spidergirl's already unstable pride

well, basically Terezi sits Nepeta down, gets her a hot drink and something to eat, a change of clothes and so on, and asks her who she's running from while Vriska keeps a nervous watch outside to make sure she wasn't followed. Turns out she basically escaped from her pimp, who's a member of the local crime syndicate belonging to some sinister mob boss with a predilection for girls of the underdeveloped variety. Before he could have his way with her, she made a break for it, and ended up here.

Terezi and Vriska argue over whether they should let Nepeta stay here; Vriska says they might get in trouble if the thugs come looking for her, so it's better to just dump her back on the street, but Terezi insists they should let her stay the night at least and help her get away in the morning. Vriska relents, and Nepeta ends up quietly snoring away on the couch, which means the two scourge sisters have to share the one, tatty bed they swap ownership of every week - Vriska grumbles at the indignity of it all, but once she's in bed with Terezi, pressed up against her warm, soft body so that their faces nearly meet, she's not so displeased about the situation after all. She gingerly throws one arm over Terezi's back to hug her, feels Terezi gently squeeze her hand, and they fall asleep together.

Sure, the dinners and gifts are just shows, right? Being impressive, lording the wealth over the maroonblood. Nevermind it's always done with consideration and usually when Vriska has been 'bad', the only person she's ever gave a shit about feeling that for.

So fine, maybe a year with the girl and her grades HAVE gone up point, so fucking what? Can't drink properly when prissyhorns is bitching and moaning at her to keep it down.

Be so much easier to make it a passive-aggressive bitchwar if she didn't hate the idea of disappointing Megido. Even if everything she does already disappoints her.

Oh well! Drink harder and let it wash away. Maybe buy her another nice dress tomorrow if she crabs about the vomit stains.
