PARADIGM
Reality is defined by the will of the Jade Emperor via the 5 elements of the Wu Tan. Through the scholarly and intuitive understanding of Earth, Fire, Metal, Water, Wood, as well as Internal Alchemy (meditation) and the use of their correspondences - actions, items, symbols and the like, one is able to enforce the will of the Jade Emperor on the world. As a member of the celestial Bureaucracy, there exists proven spells and ritual formulae - Chinese Hermetic magick - that can provide a rough roadmap and other tools to guide one's understanding of the Jade Emperor's will and how to access it to change the world. This understanding is what fuels one's will into the effects that shape and bend Reality to the mage's will.

Specialty Foci: In addition to standard Hermetic foci, elemental tattoos serve as specialty foci for some of her spheres, one elemental tattoo pattern dedicated in particular to a specific sphere as follows - Correspondence: Water, Forces: Fire, Prime: Metal, Life: Wood, Matter: Earth, Spirit: Internal Alchemy. By focusing on, concentrating upon or touching her elemental tattoos, her understanding of the Word/Jade Emperor's Will is triggered, allowing her to work her will and cast spells or enact rituals with less difficulty.
