  1. [23:02] "So in other words, I've been looking at this all wrong."
  2.
  3. It hurt any man's pride to admit such a thing. But as a practical surgeon operating off of everything but emotion, it only made sense that someone who was properly educated on the subject, like the Exarch, would be able to shine a new light on the subject for one of Theria's less than studious.
  4.
  5. But rather than seeming down about it, Haseo's grey eyes light up in response to the show of skill.
  6.
  7. From relocating his physical frame to sharing his light with the frog, Robin's approach gives Haseo insight on the path he should be taking.
  8.
  9. After taking a few moments to reflect, the artificer holds his own hand out to concentrate his cosmic mana. Within moments, all of his digits are consumed by an ethereal glow that flicker's from time to time.
  10.
  11. "Truth be told, I've just been using this as a flash light lately. It never occurred to me that speed is a benefit. Or that light belongs to everything." More so thinking out loud than anything.
  12.
  13. "How long did it take you before you could do that? Years?"
  14. (Haseo)
  15.
  16.
  17. [23:04] Galynn Sulis says, "If you want to hear it come with me, we'll move to the dojo so we don't disturb what's going on here."
  18. [23:05] Beatrice Elinora says, "I would appreciate it."
  19. [23:05] Kircheis says, "Aye."
  20. [23:06] Galynn Sulis says, "So to start simply, each of you tell me what you think Holy magic is.. or how you percieve it works."
  21. [23:07] Beatrice Elinora says, "Well. Erika taught me.."
  22. [23:07] Beatrice Elinora says, "Well."
  23. [23:09] Maria's hawkish brown eyes follow Galynn as he steps into the arena. "I am not aiming to learn Holy magic like the other two, but from what I have heard and recalled, it comes from the desire to protect; a diametric opposite to what the occult represents."
  24. (Maria Masters)
  25.
  26.
  27. [23:13] Beatrice would slowly take a small relaxed sigh. Placing her hands upon her hips as she would slowly speak involving the matter. She had a strong and hard feeling involving the subject. When she started with Erika, she would speak about the matters.
  28.
  29. "Erika would teach me that Holy magic is the essence of faith. A faith that would have to be strengthened constantly over time. A will to constantly preserve the livelihood of one another..." She would say towards the young male.
  30.
  31. The young woman's eyes would face the young man.
  32.
  33. "My faith. Is to make sure that the people of Osrona can live long and fulfilling lives. Without the fear of something that's looming over them. I perceive it as a constant warmth. As if the benevolence and burdens of others, would be carried by me in their steed."
  34.
  35. She would utter, giving a small breath as she faced the young man.
  36.
  37.
  38. (Beatrice Elinora)
  39.
  40.
  41. [23:13] Kircheis would nod his head, holy magic, he knew what it was, what it represents. The meaning of the magic had been engrained into him as a young child.
  42.
  43. "Holy magic is the art of salvation, of protection, to be used for others. It is magic that shines through the dark, it heals, it protects, and most importantly, it gives hope, for even those who have fallen into the dark pits of depravity, that they can be returned, and reach Avalon eventually."
  44.
  45. That was what he was thought as a child, it was selfless, it was pure, it was the light that guided humanity, a gift from Kraus and his angels, it was the guiding light adults fear, because it is the truth.
  46. (Kircheis)
  47.
  48.
  49. [23:22] It was obvious what Galynn Sulis was, his form radiating that soothing peace that came with Holy magic. "Erika was my original teacher as well, some years ago now, and she taught me much the same.." Glancing to catch each of their answers before saying more. "You're all correct, and offer different pieces of the same puzzle, this is good."
  50.
  51. He draws his blade, the mythril igniting into a brilliant golden glow.. All of those feelings that came with the magic were magnified as they were thrown from that blade in powerful waves. "Though in my own experience I have came to a few of my own realizations.. Any teacher can show you the basics of how Holy magic works, but what I have learned is that it's entirely personal."
  52.
  53. The tip of the blade was held down, lightly pressed against the wood as his gauntlets rested against the cross-guard. "For me..? My desire to protect and heal others is what fuels my magic more so than anything else, which perhaps makes me a bit generic.." A smile crossing his features. "Though it's personally what matters to me the most."
  54.
  55. "Holy magic is indeed the opposite to the Occult, because the Occult is creation.. and all that should be. The Occult wasn't intended, and only seeks to destroy what has a right to exist." A bit of a sorrowful look crossing his features. "It is why it drives people mad, they were never meant to tamper with it.."
  56. (Galynn Sulis)
  57.
  58.
  59. [23:24] Maria Masters says, "You can always count upon the egotistical, the corrupt, the power-hungry, and the idiotic to damn others with their own mistakes."
  60. [23:36] Kircheis would nod, the words we spoke were true, that had been made clear to him with time. "Lady Salis is one of the best Holy Magi I know of." He skill was unrivaled within Osrona, she was the head of the Exorcist Division after all.
  61.
  62. "Occult magic is the root of temptation, a path that people are tricked into taking, it is a sad thing, but that is why we are able to save them, to show them the light once more." Exorcism, an art he wished to learn, so needless executions could stop, and so they could easily be saved with work.
  63.
  64. "Throughout my years, I have seen suffering, I have seen merciless acts of cruelty, injustice to those who have no quarrels, and the ignorance of others." Those three things are the opposite of holy magic, as it is accepting of all. "That is what I wish to protect, the people, their light, and to show all people can change."
  65.
  66. His ideals were based in his religion, something he strived to always uphold, his code, the way he treated others. "How long have you practiced the art Ser Sulis?" He heard many words about the man, from Lady Salis, to Ser Robin, that Galynn was a prodigy of the art.
  67. (Kircheis)
  68.
  69.
  70. [23:37] The young female would slowly give a small nod. It would seem that Holy teachers would have a different view when it came to Faith magic as Beatrice would call it. The magic of creation, the magic to give faith unto another.
  71.
  72. "I share a similar experience. For me, using raw mana is pushing my willpower beyond what I believe I can do. And if I can be able to peform that with holy magic, not only could I protect the livelihood of those around me, I Believe that I could get stronger, as both magic could potentially feed off of the emotions I have."
  73.
  74. She would say taking a look at those around her. She didn't know if the others would believe the same, and would scratch her head. She hoped she didn't pass it off the wrong way. She did want to get stronger, but she wanted that strength to be placed to good use.
  75.
  76. "I want people here to rest easy you know. The fear of demons have killed a lot of good spirits in Osrona. And I had to for once feel what it was to be in a position against that exact adversity. I want to put a grave end to it. And make a smile on ones face when needed."
  77.
  78. The Woman gripped her fists. Her Ideals remained in her heart, seeing pure benevolence rather than faith in a god or goddess. Faith that humanity will rise to its better half once more. And strive to be caring and benevolent rather than opportunistic and clever.
  79.
  80.
  81. (Beatrice Elinora)
  82.
  83.
  84. [23:47] "She is indeed great at the art, I doubt I would have caught on as quickly as I had without her guidance." His friendly smile doesn't wane in the slightest. Offering a nod to Kircheis, "That is why I do what I do, to help those people, and to protect those who would be their victims."
  85.
  86. Though at his question he would take a moment as if to ponder a moment, how long had it been exactly..? "Since I was thirteen so.. seven years or so, and it has taken all of that time to reach where I am today." If they were children he perhaps wouldn't share this story, but they were all adults here.
  87.
  88. "It is states of heightened emotions we truly see how strong the art can be, when we are pushed to an edge and our resolve tested is when a Holy Magi shines the brightest." He rolls his sleeves up, revealing dozens of paper thin scars that seemed to criss-cross his arms. "I fought a riptide Magi in the streets a few years ago.. He attempted to use the non-Magi populace against me. It was in that moment I had to choose them or myself, and so...? I sent my faith, my resolve, not to shield myself but them." He pulls the cloth back down his arms.
  89.
  90. "I still won the fight, captured the criminal, but that's because I knew I had done what was right.. It was my desire to see all of those people safe that allowed me to prevail. Occultists seek to gain power from themselves, or from some dark pact... I guess you could say my true strength comes from the people who have faith in me." Azure hues blazing from within. "Those people who expect me to keep them safe, they're what makes me what I am, and who I am."
  91.
  92. "Call it my upbringing, but my father taught me all I know of helping and protecting others before he passed." A finger idly turning an old ring on his finger, the last thing he had to remember the man by.
  93. (Galynn Sulis)
  94.
  95.
  96. [23:58] A story about a man who used the innocent. A tale all too common, the innocent being hurt for the sake of personal gain, although he wasn't angry, he simply pitied them. "A story all to common, innocent people being caught in the crossfire of a man who wishes to do harm, tragic."
  97.
  98. His wondering, observing the scars on his arms, shielding the innocent and taking the brunt of the blows. "I had an encounter like that, although I was not protecting others, I was protected from the pure malice of a demon." His gaze would shift to his prosthetic leg.
  99.
  100. "I remember that day, on top of the Therian mountain, when a demon grabbed my leg, shook me about, causing my leg be torn savagely, and me being casted down the mountain." Shaking his head, the leg served a reminder to that day, not just that incident, but the day he reached his lowest of lows.
  101.
  102. "I don't know how I survived, but I suspect it was the faith I had in humanity, andwithin myself that protected me from passing that day." That was his own story, surviving a encounter with a demon, one that was etched into his head, but although they had stories to tell, that wasn't the reason why Kircheis was here.
  103.
  104. "Apologizes for my ramblings, I didn't mean to hold us up." The stories they could tell could go on for ages, Kircheis had many to tell. "I am ready to begin your lesson Ser Sulis."
  105. (Kircheis)
  106.
  107.
  108. [23:58] Séven smiles
  109. (Séven)
  110.
  111.
  112. [23:59] Maria Masters asks, "Oh... Watching those two learn?"
  113. [23:59] Séven is blindfolded
  114. (Séven)
  115.
  116.
  117. [23:59] Maria Masters says, "Err... hearing, rather."
  118. [23:59] Séven says, "I suppose so"
  119. [23:59] Séven chuckles
  120. (Séven)
  121.
  122.
  123. [23:59] Maria Masters says, "I originally came for a rematch with their teacher, but listening to this is much more interesting."
  124. [00:00] Séven says, "Galynn is an old friend, it's good to see how far he has come with his efforts."
  125.
  126. [00:05] The young woman would give a small relaxed smile. She thought of the story as very inspiring. The fact that someone would choose an act of selflessness when involving the battlefield. The fact that Non magi were used in a hostage situation was quite the frightening feeling.
  127.
  128. Many of the magi's currently don't see the Non-magi populace as equals.. And that did place a disappointing feeling within the young woman. She saught to allow those around her to flourish and prosper for as long as fate allows them to.
  129.
  130. No. For as long as they felt they need to. She would go against fate if it meant preserving another life of hers. And continue to save those that were around her. She could only do so much in her position however... It was her time to share.
  131.
  132. "Two demons would attack the boar hunting grounds a few months ago. A demon with Blue vines, and one that was able to use Cosmic magic. Unfortunately the Vines one had blocked my path until another person managed to fight it..."
  133.
  134. She would sigh once more.
  135.
  136. "Then the demon snake with Cosmic fought me. And I would lose terribly against it. Absolutely helpless compared to the raw strength of the demon that assualted me. Fortunately, I was able to escape the traumatic event unharmed..."
  137.
  138. She would look towards the male.
  139.
  140. "A male got captured by one of them... A fire user... I could only run to safety as I weeped in anger.. Because I was far to helpless to try and save him.. Because I didn't have it in me to fight back the evil that was present..."
  141.
  142. She stated lowering her head.
  143.
  144. "I want to learn holy magic to avoid that tragedy once more. I want to make sure that I can at least stand up against something like that when the time calls for it. And put an end to the demons that act alongside these atrocities."
  145. (Beatrice Elinora)
  146.
  147.
  148. [00:05] Maria Masters says, "Valero, whom I sent a letter to in hopes that he can help further my connection in regards to my Star's 'other half', of portents."
  149. [00:05] Maria Masters says, "And a man named Al-Aziz, whom I only know by name."
  150. [00:05] Séven says, "times really have changed."
  151. [00:06] Maria Masters says, "My progress upon my path has been slow, albeit steady. I'm currently working on a style of swordsmanship that will propel my Time magic into being more than just mere 'support'."
  152. [00:09] Séven says, "Interesting."
  153. [00:10] Séven says, "Time itself is a very difficult concept for many to grasp"
  154. [00:10] Séven says, "There is so much more than just the arbitrary calulations of time like seconds, minutes, and hours."
  155. [00:10] He perhaps hadn't gone into the details, that he had no magic to protect himself during that time.. that his body had been shredded by dozens upon dozens of small cuts until the final pedestrian had rounded the corner.
  156.
  157. "I remember..." He had treated the injury. "Though again I am glad you managed to return safely.. but being careful is important as well. Trying to go alone these days is dangerous." So many reports of Demon attacks..
  158.
  159. "You mean Darrel.. I know him, and I am sad to say there is little that can really be done without most of the Order mobilizing I think." He had heard how many Demons there were.. and it would be suicide for too small of a group. "Though preparation for the future is possible.. We can have a full, longer lesson soon, but my fiancée will be missing me at home." Catching bits of the other conversation he offers Maria a soft smile. "We can have that rematch then I must depart, but I will be contact for a better lesson."
  160. (Galynn Sulis)
  161.
  162.
  163. [00:11] Maria Masters says, "Okay."
  164. [00:11] Beatrice would nod smiling.
  165.
  166. "Thanks so much Sir Gaylnn."
  167.
  168. She would say smiling.
  169. (Beatrice Elinora)
