1500 PR. (Post-Reconquest)

The world of Corius has had one millennium and a half to recover from a set of catastrophic events. First, a meteor shower devastated most of the continent of Cord, as well as surrounding lands, which had the unpleasant side effect of reducing the population by a vast amount, destroying cities, and knowledge too, became lost.

If only that had been all. Following the sudden and inexplicable incineration of Cord, beings from another plane attacked. Labelled Daemons, these creatures possessed fearsome power, and were impervious to the now feeble magic of the Corians. A long and grueling war ensued, which the humans won barely, through the invention of Glass, a substance which could channel, transmit, and most importantly seal Dream Force, the matter composing daemons, within itself.

Ultimately, humanity won out, but it was an uneasy peace. Daemons and dream force became a staple of life in Corius, and things had changed, forever. But this wasn't bad. Powered by dream force, new forces, races and countries rose. The world is a different place, from what it was before the Reconquest.

The year 1500 is unique for many reasons, however, which you will soon find out about, as you read on:
