- Gotta High-Five the Sky Edition
- Hey guys, how’s it goin?
- That’s it. I’ve officially tapped the extent of my Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL knowledge with that title. Last week, I was able to give 3DS World Duel Carnival’s Story mode some honest effort with Yuma and Lightsworns. My goal is to be able to consistently complete Yuma’s story in Duel Champion difficulty in under an hour. Last week, I managed to get to 53 minutes as my best. I think I would do better if I wasn’t losing as much. I can only do so much research on every opponent’s deck to mitigate that. With that said, I have decided to make the tweak to Lightsworns to include elements of Chaos—Black Luster Soldier, Tragoedia, Gorz, Tour Guide. Haven’t found an excuse to drop in a Chaos Sorcerer, but perhaps that’s only a matter of time. Maybe I need to finally drop the Instant Fusions. There is still time to evaluate the deck before I consider submitting it to the Yu-Gi-Oh! speedrunning marathon in a couple of months. - In other stream news, I have finally made the plunge. I’d been talking about it for months. I’ve gone multiple years lamenting conditions that could very well be the result of me putting it off. A handful of hours ago, I completed my purchase of all the parts I need for a brand new computer. Goodbye, traditional hard drive, i5-3570k, and GTX 670. Hello, SSD, Ryzen 5 3600, and RTX 2060. I’m also getting faster RAM and, probably most important for me, a much more efficient power supply. It will probably be multiple weeks after everything comes in before I can start using it. That said, I am looking forward to a much-needed upgrade. It will make it easier for me to high-five the sky. (I felt like I had to fit the reference in somewhere to use the title.)
