Philosophy is necessary in order to realize that your need for highly loyal operators actually selected, in the long-run, for right-wing conspiracy theorists to helm your channel which would later lead to lamentations. When we deny ourselves philosophy, we deny ourselves an opportunity to find these types of causality. Since the universe continues to operate independent of our desire or ability to understand its machinations, we'll generally resort to our default programming in situations where we ignorance has replaced understanding. In the case of Mabus, it was, of course, more authoritarianism.
