- Judge Punisher (Ceep)
- For CFC, I think this is an easy 8/10; both sides of the match were explored, with some excellent character work tying together an otherwise solid match. I don’t really have much to say on this; everything feels solid and in place.
- For Evergreen, I’m going to give a high 8/10. Your work with Ouroboros was again stellar, with Ouro being this horror show, putting together a human wave of fear and validating the cynical, heartless way he sees others, as a throng of bodies to be used and exploited. This was an absolute slam dunk for him, on both ends of the spectrum.
- However, while Ouroboros was a slam dunk, I feel that there’s something missing for Honeydew; that she isn’t given the focus to really take an otherwise bombastic and exceptional Jojolity to quite the heights I’d ask for a 9. This isn’t to say you did anything badly or wrong with Honeydew. She had some amazing moments, and her coldness and detachedness is obviously harder to make shine, but nonetheless I think that that tiny flaw keeps things from a 9.

- We got a fun set of Jojolities here, with Moony and Honeydew Embodying Horror and Kid and Ouro Embodying Power!
- EG go all in on Power, with horror being more represented by the fear which Ouro offers protection from as he builds up his influence over the gangs as well as ramping up the fear of CFC - and turning the place to rubble is also a pretty big show of power against the Vigilantes. While outright Horror wasn’t a key part of the approach, I *really* love how you guys decided to recreate the Paris Aco murder to pin it on your opponents, and I was left wondering after reading Honeydew’s false Anthrax murders if I’d be having nightmares over it.
- Meanwhile CFC goes with a more balanced approach: Moony deciding to emulate horror movies and using her Stand to spread her influence through fear, crawling around on the ceiling or through how she approaches combat - though she also works in some embodiment of power by belittling her opponents and in her final message of burnt corpse. Kid on the other hand embodies primarily Power through how he begins to take on the Middleman’s attributes in combat and in how he tackles foes, but by that same metric could be considered some embodiment of horror as well.
- A well done to both teams for a fun showing! Both are getting a **9** in Jojolity.
- Judge Crow (Yuri)
- Hi! Judge Yuri here! Jojolity! You may have noticed that my Quality delibs were a bit shorter than usual. That’s because I have a lot more to say here.
- This Jojolity is a bit of a Joker’s Trick. Even though it seems like the teams have gotten two distinct jojolities, the real trick of it all is that they’re kind of just the same. Horror and power are the same in many, many ways, and this is a match designed to bring out that similarity in our competitors, should they properly step up to the plate. And you did. Ill go ahead and get out with it - Evergreen gets an **9**, CFC gets a **10**.
- Cause for Concern lay into the themes here from the word go - in this strategy, there is virtually no difference between power and horror. For Moony and Kid, those words are one in the same, whether they know it or not. Moony’s shows of overwhelming power are all done in the hopes of inspiring fear. I struggle to think of anything she does with her Stand that isn’t for this exact goal. Kid, meanwhile, is the opposite. Kid’s shows of horror are all in the chase of power. Utilizing the image of the Middleman, the ultimate source of his own fear and trauma, to give himself power, to assert his dominance, is a *genius* play, and it really sums up what I like so much about this strat. The main reason that this scores higher than Evergreen is because it genuinely freaked me out when I read it. This might just be the most effective attempt at a horror strat in tourney history, at least for me. I got spooked! I don’t think there’s a clearer sign of success in a horror Jojolity than actually spooking someone.
- Nice The Crow reference btw. That’s badass.
- Evergreen certainly leans far more into the power dynamic than the horror dynamic, but those two are similarly joined together. While CFC establishes fear through power, Evergreen establishes power through fear. There’s a clever utilization of violence all throughout the strat. Even for simple things like Ouroboros goring himself to intimidate civilians, or Honeydew’s Incredible Violence drive this point home. The real highlight of it all is the slow buildup to the bonkers finale, with Ouroboros having gone all in on that central thesis of power through fear, becoming a fearmongering preacher of Yarbo. The Middleman stuff is genuinely hilarious, especially considering what the other strat did, but it’s also just a really good way to drive home that this guy is fucking *scary*, not because he has a big scary Stand power or anything, but because he has a gun and he talks pretty good. Evergreen has made a habit of taking one of the most simple kits in the Tourney and pushing it to absurd lengths, and I think this Jojolity is the summation of that effort. Honeydew is also very effective in, again, driving that point home, becoming the force behind Ouro’s words. Good shit.
