  1. WIP:
  2.
  3.
  4. Rogue (assassin)
  5. Caywen Westerbrook
  6.
  7. Caywen was a street urchin, the child of a slum prostitute too down to care for a kid. She got by, more or less, by being just a bit more willing to do grievous bodily harm to other children and being quite ruthless.
  8. Though eventually she caught the eye of a Noble House for those selfsame talents and was taken in. They gave her a home, food and some education...by training her among the Houses Cadre of Assassins.
  9. And she was good. By Fifteen, she had already dispatched quite a few people. People who opposed the House politically, people who pissed off House Leadership...Tax men.
  10.
  11. Eventually, through no fault of her own, she got made just as she stabbed a Priest who'd blackmailed the House or he'd gossip out their Sins. On the Privy.
  12.
  13. Oops.
  14.
  15. The House decided to cut its losses and clear up loose ends...which is fancy speak for cutting Cay's throat and throw her into a river.
  16.
  17. And so she went on the run.

  21. Long Form:
  22.
  23. Cay was born out of the Liaison of a thief and a male courtesan. Her mother took off when she was little and her father didn't really care, ending with her basically joining a street gang by age 9-ish.

  41. eh, its for my own char.
  42. I'm thinking that situation is really only come out in specific cases like
  43. "You wake up to the sound of battle and run toward it..." kinda. Maybe with a Wisdom roll to decide if unclear.
  44. And the Glasses could be disarmed, but it's a dex roll with disadvantage in place of an attack.
  45. If my GM goes for it.

  51. (I'm thinking, if no glasses, disadvantage on anything that goes beyond 'stab the blurry blob before me', like lock picking)

  57. I mean, I'd argue strenuosly against any such thing being imposed on players, but sometimes having my own characters have such things (Speaking as someone who's in RL crazy short sighted) makes it more interesting.
