  1. [12:19] Liz finishes her daily wake up call with a delicious piece of candy, as she disperses the spell and it becomes unwrapped. Slowly enjoying the flavor, she returns her gaze to Elisa with a smile. She didn't find anything that would exactly help her understand storm magic. Though she found out the three major elements used to create it.
  2.
  3. It would take quite the bit of time to fully preform, but practice makes perfect. At least a motto like that sometimes never gets seen to the end.
  4.
  5. "Right so let's go out to the field, I know something that can help with your studies!"
  6. (Liz Cuictal)
  7. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  8.
  9. [12:23] "Oh dear..."
  10.
  11. Perhaps she was a bit too exposed to the demons of the west. It was clear, she hated seeing her family hurt, and he understood her dive. In fact Neo loved it. At such a young age she was ready to provide. However he wasn't too keen on letting her do that. She had much to learn, not to mention the fact that she was asking to be in Dawn's army.
  12.
  13. Not even Obsidia's. Her own home.
  14.
  15. It was all too much, and hearing Aspen say those words. 'My squire' it made him want to vomit.
  16.
  17. Neo had a plan, one that was full proof, it worked with all his kids and even some of his grandkids. It kept them level headed, and safe. He didn't want another Coraline Incident, where they die young. He turned the girl to face him. His features pristine, and perfect. He wasn't angry at all, he appeared more sympathetic if anything.
  18.
  19. "Listen." A sharp exhale.
  20.
  21. "I get that, but there's much thatyou don't understand. Your family, those people that are getting hurt. We're adults. We've lived our years, and it's our time." He points to the girl with his free hand.
  22.
  23. "You're eleven. Not a soldier, a kid. This isn't safe, and it won't help as much as you think. It'll only bring us all more stress. I understand that you wish to be useful, but all we need is your smile to keep us running. You don't have to fight, you don't have to do anything you're too young for responsibility."
  24.
  25. He smiles. "Thank you for your effort, but you will have to resign for now. But, you can still write your little reports and such-- however leave the actual work to the people who're supposed to do it. Use your time to become the best mage you can be. Focus on yourself."
  26. (Neo Invidia)
  27. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  28.
  29. [12:24] Turquoise eyes follow as Liz took out some candy. As much as she wanted to ask for some, the girl didn't really think her older friend had any extra on her. It seemed as though everyone was starting to make progress towards their various different magic stuff, but she was still stuck on trying to figure out storm magic.
  30.
  31. The people in Dawn that knew how to do it hadn't been around for some time, so she couldn't even ask them. Truthfully, she was starting to lose hope- But! It seemed as though Liz had some sort of an idea as to what she could do. Maybe.
  32.
  33. ".. oh! What is it? I hope it's not too hard.."
  34. The last bit was mumbled, though she was going to follow behind Liz regardless.
  35. (Elisa Lockland)
  36. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  37.
  38. [12:30] Neo's words were akin to a knife stabbing into her chest and rubbing her own blood on her face. Literally ripping the dreams she had on protecting people at a young age and letting the wind take them off to another place far off. Even though it was true that she was a child, she didn't have anything else to do to prove that she was able to handle herself or people. Being a child sucks in her optics, but so was all the pain that was being exposed to her family.
  39.
  40. If there was any sign of her wanting to pull away, it was evident when she pointed at her. A simple step back while still looking them in the eyes. And yet, when they said that her smile was all that was needed she smiled, but deep down she knew that it was a lie. But, she would refuse to let that be shown, she didn't even make a gesture to show it. However, she did not want to disappoint people. She didn't want to be another Asbel or Coraline; she wanted to live her life to the best, but thiswas not her best.
  41.
  42. Then again, she understood where Neo was talking about. And, with a simple shrug of her shoulders, a sigh escaping her lips, she simply put the paper down and let the wind take it away. Riyna was not ready for war, and she was not ready to take people in war. She was way too young, way too experienced and didn't even know what to do when it came down to actual fighting.
  43.
  44. No matter how pure her notion of protecting the family was, she was just too damn young.
  45.
  46. "Alright..." A sigh again. "I'll let the big kids do the stuff and just write little reports...sorry."
  47. (Riyna Invidia)
  48. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  49.
  50. [12:30] Just when Elisa thought that Liz wasn't looking out for her, in fact she was. With the girl's studies and physical health. She search for a flavor that would best suit her, the candy would magically turn into the flavor that Elisa's personality best enjoyed.
  51.
  52. [Insert candy flavor]
  53.
  54. "It shouldn't be."
  55.
  56. She wondered what magic Elisa had exactly, but even that much she should have guessed so far.
  57. (Liz Cuictal)
  58. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  59.
  60. [12:40] Liz takes a deep breath almost nervous herself to see if Elisa could pull this off. She has never really seen herself teaching others magic. Especially magic that wasn't her own or currently working on. Part of this experience that made it worse for Liz's stress, she was more afraid that she would fail Elisa.
  61.
  62. One thing that Liz prides herself on, was her ability to keep her word. Reliability was a trait that she hopes to continue going strong. Yet here they were, out in the fields and preparing to start a small bief training experience.
  63.
  64. "Okay so first, the three major elements used for this is water, wind, and lightning. Do you have them already?"
  65.
  66. Wind magic and lightning magic was going to be the major two for the most part. Many properties that dwelled within the weather, storms and rain and such. They dwelled a lot in clouds and air molecules. So she would have to focus on those two a lot if shewishes to pull this off.
  67. (Liz Cuictal)
  68. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  69.
  70. [12:52] A piece of candy was delivered to the girl, which was promptly unwrapped at which point it was placed in her mouth. Nice. That stuff was pretty nice tasting- Maybe she'd have to bother her friend about getting them in bulk later on.
  71.
  72. While the young girl wasn't sure if something like this was even within her power, it'd be interesting to see just how far she might be able to come with storm magic. If somebody like Arthur was able to become great with it in their arsenal of spells, maybe she'd be able to become great, too! But they'd have to wait and see, really.
  73.
  74. The two wind up in an open field, away from most distractions. This spot should've made things nice and easy to focus on! A light hum leaves her as the question was asked, eyes fixed on her would-be teacher.
  75.
  76. ".. of course! Wind was the easiest for me.. water was a little harder, and lightning was probably the trickiest- But! I've got 'em down enough to the point where I can use them in combat."
  77. She nods her head a few times. Heck, she could even combine her wind and water to create ice magic which took quite a bit of time. Combining three was probably going to be even harder, though. ".. or at least.. I think I have good control over them.."
  78. (Elisa Lockland)
  79. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  80.
  81. [13:01] Then the next part was close to be executed by her, since they moved along nicely. Storm magic was probably one of the most dangerous magics to use in combat. It would grant the caster a wide range of abilities, along with the power to conjure up a storm. Magic like that was powerful and dangerous, usually not taken lightly.
  82.
  83. Liz took a few steps back and gave Elisa some room. She brought her near a small pond which was going to serve as any extra help conjuring water. The process that Liz had in mind was tricky but easy if the concentration levels were there.
  84.
  85. "Alright first, you need to clear your mind. It's easier for magic casters to focus on magic when they don't have lingering thoughts that may interrupt the process. Once you do that, just focus on your magic and it's movement.
  86.
  87. Take a small amount of water from this pond and see if you can create an orb of just water. Try to remove any lingering properties from the water too, like grass, bugs, bacteria. Anything that your magic will find to be a hindrance."
  88.
  89. It was good to start with one step at a time, and slowly work your way up to the main goal.
  90. (Liz Cuictal)
  91. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  92.
  93. [13:07] The girl was given some space, not that she was entirely sure how much she needed at the moment. The girl still didn't know a whole lot about the art of storm magic, other than just a few little details. It just sounded pretty neat to her, which is why she decided to travel down the path of it. Besides, who wouldn't want the ability to conjure up storms whenever they wanted?
  94.
  95. A light, thoughtful hum leaves the Lockland girl, nodding her head some. She went ahead and took a seat on the ground, trying to make herself as comfortable as possible.
  96.
  97. ".. clearing my mind? That's a lot easier said than done, but I'll try my best to get it done."
  98. She says, nodding her head a few times. The girl went ahead and took in a deep breath, crossing her legs and closing her eyes. Out of sight, out of mind- Or at least, that's what she was going with here.
  99.
  100. It'd take a few moments, but eventually the girl went ahead and startedto use her magic for a super tiny

  104. [13:09] The girl was given some space, not that she was entirely sure how much she needed at the moment. The girl still didn't know a whole lot about the art of storm magic, other than just a few little details. It just sounded pretty neat to her, which is why she decided to travel down the path of it. Besides, who wouldn't want the ability to conjure up storms whenever they wanted?

  106. A light, thoughtful hum leaves the Lockland girl, nodding her head some. She went ahead and took a seat on the ground, trying to make herself as comfortable as possible.
  107.
  108. ".. clearing my mind? That's a lot easier said than done, but I'll try my best to get it done."
  109. She says, nodding her head a few times. The girl went ahead and took in a deep breath, crossing her legs and closing her eyes. Out of sight, out of mind- Or at least, that's what she was going with here.
  110.
  111. It'd take a few moments, but eventually the girl went ahead and startedto use her magic for a super tiny ball of magic to rise up into the air. It.. wasn't too clear at first, though. But slowly, any small bugs and whatnot would be pushed out- A few pieces of grass might've been in their though, but she didn't seem to notice. Elisa's eyes remained closed.
  112.
  113. ".. okay.. that should be good enough, I think."
  114. (Elisa Lockland)
  115. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  116.
  117. [13:20] She watched Elisa do her thing even though it took a minute, but that was alright. Patience is a virtue as they say, which in this case, time will be a necessity. Though it was time to continue on with the lesson, as Elisa successfully cleared the water, for the most part...
  118.
  119. The next step was to set the collection of water off to the side, but constantly flow her magic into it. It would ruin the training if she lost focus and the water fell to the ground. At the same time, she would have to conjure up a gust of wind.
  120.
  121. The wind has to be a constant flow as well, though it was her choice on how she wishes to do it.
  122.
  123. "Alright now set that aside, and constantly provide it with magic. Then I need ya to conjure up a collection of wind. It can be a flow of wind magic like a breeze, or an orb like the water. Which ever comes easier and natural for you, but the main objective to constantly flow magic into these elements. It will get draining, but successes won't come without sacrifice."
  124. (Liz Cuictal)
  125. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  126.
  127. [13:38] Luckily, wind and water had been the two elements she had spent the most time with, so something of this level wasn't insanely hard for her. If she had been told to do this a couple of years ago it probably would've taken the girl a lot longer. Now, messing around with water was pretty simple- Even if she did miss a tiny bit of residue.
  128.
  129. She figured that this was just a tiny bit of what had to be done though. After all, you couldn't just create a storm with water. That just wasn't going to happen.
  130.
  131. And it seemed that next she was going to have to push her wind magic into the picture. Oh boy. Knowing her luck, Elisa was probably about to freeze the water over on accident.
  132.
  133. ".. er.. right.. I'll, uh.. try that, I suppose.."
  134. The Lockland girl says, not wanting to break her concentration at all so she didn't move around much- Or even open her eyes. ".. I might mess up, though.."
  135.
  136. Another deep breath in was taken, followed by a brief pause and then she went ahead and let the gathered up air out of her lungs slowly. Elisa remained as calm and relaxed as possible, forgetting about most things for now. The grass danced around the open landscape, shaking the leaves of the nearby tree and causing the grass to dance around. She felt right at home with the wind.
  137.
  138. Very, very slowly, a small, almost unnoticeable gust of wind was visible a few feet away from the orb of water. The wind went around in a circular motion, almost as if it was forming an orb as well. A leaf was trapped in the breeze, dancing away inside of it for the time being.
  139. (Elisa Lockland)
  140. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  141.
  142. [13:59] She was glad to see Elisa capable of pulling off the next step of her long journey. Still, there was plenty of more preparations to take part in before she would pull this off.
  143.
  144. After a few moments, she would give a smile to Elisa's words. It wasn't about messing it up or not, it was more about the lesson. Being able to perform each demonstration perfectly.
  145.
  146. "I believe in you Elisa, you are an amazing caster. Just keep focusing..
  147.
  148. The next part to do the same process with Lightning. Even if it is a small spark or something, you'll have to focus on all three elements and continue to keep them going. That candy I gave you should help you with keeping your energy up. It has tiny pieces of cosmic energy, so you should do fine for the time being.
  149.
  150. Once you manage to do this with all three, then we can focus on combining these elements."
  151.
  152. It was a tricky process, just like any combination of magic, the process was difficult.
  153. (Liz Cuictal)
  154. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  155.
  156. [14:17] Just when she thought things were going alright, even more stuff was being piled onto the already difficult task. Even if she wasn't going to get this all down on the first try, Elisa wanted to do as much as she could. The more she got done in the beginning, the less she'd have to do later on, right? That probably wasn't the case, but oh well.
  157.
  158. ".. lightning magic now?"
  159. A low groan leaves the girl, giving Liz a slight nod. Whether or not the cosmic candy would be helpful enough was about to be seen. ".. I'll see what I can do.."
  160.
  161. It wasn't entirely about how much energy she could muster up, it was moreso about how many different types of magic the young Lackland was going to keep sustained at one time. Water and wind were somewhat easy, seeing as Elisa used those for her ice magic- But throwing lightning into the fray..
  162.
  163. Regardless of what she thought about it, she intended on trying to giving it a go. A spark crackled, bouncing around the girl's frame for a few moments. She wasn't sure what she was supposed to do with it, though. Did a ball need to be made with it?
  164.
  165. It didn't matter too much. The lightning danced around, Elisa ending up losing a bit of control over it. The spark bounced right above her eye, giving her a bit of a shock. She blinks some, the water orb falling to the ground and the wind one just kind of fading away. She frowns.
  166.
  167. ".. this is hard.."
  168.
  169. (Elisa Lockland)
  170. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  171.
  172. [14:35] It seems like Elisa's abilities were coming along nicely. The magic that was being flown out of Elisa was visibly being seen by Liz. It was thanks to her cosmic energy, that allowed Liz to see magic of others a lot easier than most. The cosmos that they lived under for many eons, has empowered cosmic mages for many years.
  173.
  174. The following step would be slightly more difficult to produce, but it would be beneficial to go slow. Taking things too fast would end up causing Elisa to lose focus and possibly hurt herself. That idea alone would be bad and worry Liz a lot.
  175.
  176. "Alright this next part I want to you go slow. Take your time and don't push yourself too hard. You can always try again later, but just be careful. I need you to combine the wind magic and water magic to create a small cloud of your own.
  177.
  178. A cloud is a large collection of very tiny droplets of water or ice crystals. The droplets are so small and light that they can float in the air. All air contains water, but near the ground it is usually in the form of an invisible gas called water vapor. When warm air rises, it expands and cools.
  179.
  180. So focus well and keep your mind clear, like the air around us."
  181. (Liz Cuictal)
  182. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  183.
  184. [14:54] With as much will as she could muster up and some time to get everything going again, each of the orbs were created once again. The spark was made a little smaller this time, just to keep things a little easier to control. It just kind of danced around her body for the time being, not really sure where it was supposed to come into play just yet.
  185.
  186. Once the next step was spoken, a sigh left the girl. She knew that this was going to be the most helpful thing for her, but still. This was pretty tiring, even with Liz's candy supplying her with a fair bit of energy.
  187.
  188. A slight nod was given to Liz.
  189. ".. right.. I'll do my best. If I can do all of this other cool stuff with magic, then surely I can create a little cloud.. well.. I hope so, at least."
  190.
  191. Taking in Liz's little science lesson as well, Elisa decided to get right to work. She had took up enough of her friend's time as is, she felt.
  192.
  193. The orbs of water and wind would be brought a little closer together. With each breath the girl took, a drop or two from the orb of water was sent over towards the wind. Slowly but surely, something small began to form in the place of the wind sphere. It might've been a cloud!- Or it also could've just been some mist circling around in that one spot.
  194.
  195. Her eyes had remained closed since they started, but at this point she almost felt like she could open them. Just barely, one of her turquoise pupils made themselves visible. And sure enough, something resembling a super, tiny palm sized cloud was just kind of resting out in front of her. It wasn't nearly big enough to be anything cool, though. But at least she was getting somewhere. ".. er.. okay.. I think I did it.."
  196. (Elisa Lockland)
  197. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  198.
  199. [14:59] * You have been awarded 3 Roleplay Points! *
  200. [15:12] With a slight clap of her hands, the girl moved closer to Elisa and smiled. She was more than happy with the results, but it would still take more practice. This had proved that Elisa had what it takes to achieve the goals that she set out for herself.
  201.
  202. The air around them felt nice, Liz enjoyed bright days like this as it was beautiful. Thus she called things to a end, didn't want to take up too much of her time. She was certain Elisa had other things to do than this all day.
  203.
  204. "You should keep practicing making small clouds for now Elisa. Then if you feel confident enough, start making bigger clouds of your own and then send them off into the sky. Keep doing this process over and over, until you feel it's enough. Then once that part is done, try to through the lightning into your cloud.
  205.
  206. If you have any difficulty doing it, just come find me. You usually know where to find me, I don't mind helping. But congratulations, you have took a big leap towards your goals."
  207. (Liz Cuictal)
  208. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  209.
  210. [15:17] The lightning that was dancing across her frame eventually fizzled off into nothing. It seemed as though they were done for the day, so she may as well just kind of let everything fade off. The cloud that she worked so hard on began to split into two before seemingly fading away as well.
  211.
  212. Slowly, Elisa went ahead and rose up to her feet, exhaling softly. A slight smile rested on her face, giving Liz a slight nod in response to what they had to say. If that was all she needed to do, then so be it. It was probably going to take up a chunk of her time, but oh well. It'd be worth it.
  213.
  214. ".. gotcha'. I'll keep on working until I can create a cloud big enough to cover this entire island! Well.. maybe not that big, but you get the idea.."
  215. The girl nods her head some, eyes remaining on Liz. "Thank you for the help, Liz. And, uh.. I'll be happy to help you with your start connection thingy whenever you get around to doing that.."
  216.
  217. "For now though, I need to head back to the square and rest some.. I'll see you later, Miss."
  218. (Elisa Lockland)
