Examined:
Elegant but hardly grand, the bed is utterly lacking in gauzy canopy or
intricately carved posters. The head and foot of the bed are two solid
panels of stained black wood, the matte finish doing little more than
preserving the delicate pattern of the natural grain. Lengthwise are two
wide slats of the same finish, though raised from the ground. These with
the head and foot create the cradle in which rests a high mattress.
Simply covered with crisp white sheets turned over a soft feather top,
the bed has a clean, unused look to it. Two plump pillows are situated
at one end, their cases the same white, though rounded black piping
marks the edges.

Four iron-clawed feet hold this bed mere inches off the ground. Linking
them all together to form the base, a spiderweb-like pattern crawls
across the surface. In the very centre, a giant blooming rose splays
out, although usually covered by the mattress on top. Vine-like spires
reach up from each corner, making this item into a four-poster bed. Each
post has been designed to appear as climbing vines with dozens of
scattered thorns. A few iron roses grace the spires with their beauty. A
large, soft pink mattress rests upon the bed, a matching blanket on top.
Two giant pillows sewn to appear as blooming red roses rest at the head
of the bed.

Examined:
This large, elegant, four-poster bed is crafted from a wooden base. The
four sides of the base rise up high in order to keep the user firmly
inside. The edging has been carved in flowing curves which resemble the
gentle waves of the sea, the image enhanced by the blue-green hues of
the bed frame. Upon the four corners of the bed, thin blue and green
spires rise up, topped off by shell-shaped posts. A long, thick, silken
canopy rises up over the bed, dyed matching hues as the rest of the bed.
Dangling from all sides of the canopy are long, thin chains of silver,
the metal almost completely hidden by the thousands of teardrop-shaped
sapphires which have been linked to these drapes. Normally hung around
the bed to create a sense of privacy, these beaded curtains can be
pulled back to allow for entrance or exit to and from the bed itself.
Hidden almost completely from view by the dangling sapphires, the bed is
filled with thick sheets of deep blue silk and accented with twin
pillows of blue which have been outlined with a border of green shells.
