  1. Days prior, a boat, courtesy of Alteros, brought the capability of voyage to Byson once more. As of the recent, the Tuboxen Company had officially expanded, joining hands with the Oscuri ruled village. A medical wing was in the process of creation, and today, would mark the first operation to be taken underway. The second patient of the unofficial Medical ward was awaited, met by Hector himself, whom stood at the doorway of the Headquarters structure.
  2.
  3. "We are ready for you, Sana... Please, follow me." He beckoned with his left and only arm.
  4. "The operation will begin shortly."
  5. (Hector Vernon)
  6. Sana Aldren-Ninetails: Alright, I was waiting for this, haven't gone far from Byson waiting.
  7. Hector Vernon: Tell me... Sana.
  8. Hector Vernon: What have you, in terms of plans for your future.
  9. Sana Aldren-Ninetails: I don't know yet, I was going to return home for a while and talk to the family and then probably travel around Valmasia doing some good and all.
  10. Hector Vernon: Ah... You should consider a place amongst the Tuboxen Company.
  11. Hector Vernon: Though, there are no obligations with you.
  12. Hector Vernon: You are a voluntary patient whom accepted the risks, after all.
  13. Sana Aldren-Ninetails: I'm sorry, I need to find my new path in life right now.
  14. Hector Vernon: There is no reason to apologize.
  15. Hector Vernon: You've done nothing wrong.
  16. Hector Vernon: Anyways, let the operation commence.
  17. Sana Aldren-Ninetails: I was about to say that myself.
  18. Immediately, Hector summoned Medical assistance to his side, quickly supplying him with tools and containers of various material. "Please, rest upon the operation table." He requested solemnly, rushing off to a table on the side to acquire and recount the items at his leisure, whilst three assistants aided Sana in the efforts to settle her down and still, restraining her with straps to lock her ankles and wrists in place.
  19.
  20. "Now, I'm going to induce you into a sleepy state with a strong dosage of granulated Soothe Reed, as I did before." He warned, opening a jar; Hector's only hand clutched a handful of the fabricated powder, surging it with his mana to intensify its effect.
  21. "Now, I want you to close your eyes, and breathe... Even with the dosage, you may still feel some pain. It will be quite... Excruciating." He finished, approaching her directly once more.
  22. The naturamancy that bent at the natural form it rested in, transmuting it into a gaseous state that oozed over Sana's visage. He pushed his gloved palm over the nasal and oral region of the Ookami, seemingly smothering her with the gas, atttempting to force her to succumb to physical fatigue.
  23.
  24. The nerves of the Ookami anatomy were slown, allowing the procedure to ensue with minimal prompt flinching.
  25. (Hector Vernon)
  26. Doing as she was asked, she did lay on the operating table and as soon as she was there, her ankles and wrist were strapped to the table. She looked to him as he grabbed the Soothe Reef and made her inhale it again. She did as she was asked and knew that this would be another painful experience again. She closed her eyes and kept breathing and waited for this to end so that she could get her arm back.
  27. (Sana Aldren-Ninetails)
  28. The Soothe Reed was ingested into the Ookami's system, inducing drowiness to possess her form. Soon enough, even magical might was challenged by the restraints. Muscularity was laden with a possessive lax sensation, leaving her able to easily slip into a deep slumber should she wish it. Though, with brewing knowledge of the pain that would ensue would likely prevent such a possibilty from carrying through.
  29.
  30. "The operation is a go.." He started, weilding a scalpel in his only arm.
  31. He approached, circling around the operation table to gaze down upon the stub. "You!" He called out unto a nearby assistant. "Hold the shoulder down in place, this is the only limb that isn't secured." He ordered.
  32.
  33. Without arguement, the shoulder was pushed down, even as sedatives refused to defy the piercing pain of Hector's carefully guided scalpel over the extended stub's end, slicing away the bandaged to reveal an end, blackened and cracked with lines of serosanguineous tainted scabs.
  34.
  35. "Think on another subject." He encouraged, "Think on... Something more pleasurable." He insisted, "Your mind is not going to want to anticipate what comes next."
  36.
  37. The flaky end he constructed prior, was sliced away, spawning spray of her blood. There was no other way he could cleanly recreate the appendage without ridding her of the obstruction. "Try not to move." He continued, even as a non-magus medic bared down on her shoulder to erase such a possibility. It was something he had to be absolutely sure of, considering she was still a magi with superior strength to the common human-being.
  38. (Hector Vernon)
  39. Doing as she was asked, her thoughts would go to her family, the people she was doing this all for. She wanted to see them again at some point and hoped that they were all okay. As she thought about them, she would sheepishly smile as she tried her best to stay awake. She didn't want to let herself slip into an unconscious state as she did in fact know of the pain she would have to endure. She kept her smile as she remained conscious, but her eyes would be closed as she layed there.
  40. (Sana Aldren-Ninetails)
  41. The operation table grew tainted, bloodied, plagued with the rolling pool of the bodily fluids. Hector's expression tensed behind the gas mask he harbored across his visage, was colored with the constant spray of blood, speckling across it with numerable blotches.
  42. He held his breath as the cut came clean through, proving difficult with preformed with only a single arm.
  43.
  44. "Now, for the bleeding." He narrated, cuffing over the wound with his only arm prior to setting his scalpel aside. One's magical essence was surged through the open stub, forging connection to the organic material of Sana's anatomy. Sanguinamancy possessed absolute manipulation of the blood that sought to drain, halting the flow to cease the bleeding.
  45.
  46. Particles of water siphoned from the atmosphere congealed into strings of water, spiraling to meet his collided palm, soaking into the flesh and initiating the proliferation process. The muscularity and skeletal systems were seeded with naturamancy's hold, soon contorted and bent. The shoulder-line began to bulged, pulsated, swelled up to the point of his grasp; The strenuous flex of muscle, extended beyond its limitation induced tearing.
  47.
  48. Slowly, he pulled away, leading the manifestation of bone, followed up, by the crawling line of muscular tissue. The artistry strained everything from the bared down shoulder, down-- To Sara, the inexperience lead strong potential to muscle tearing, repairable with effort and time. The regeneration process was underway...
  49. Though, unlike other healing methods, this sort was downright insufferable; There was no forgiveness in terms of physical sensation, but the end result was healing of true permanence...
  50. Unfortunately for Sana, it was not yet complete.
  51. (Hector Vernon)
  52. Feeling the pain slightly, she tried to hold back her expression of pain to try and stay calm. She would feel as the arm was growing back to her body, it was only at the elbow down, but it was still painful. She hoped that she wouldn't lose a limb again, going through this process once was painful enough. She needed to go through this right now so that she could be as strong as she should be and not what she is now. She would try her best to remain still as the assistant would hold the half of her arm that was being regenerated was starting to take form again and it was painful for her.
  53. (Sana Aldren-Ninetails)
  54. Beads of sweat budded upon Hector's forehead, arms trembled and body ached. He clenched his teeth as he exerted excessive quantities of his mana he had never committed to before.
  55. The strain shown through the utterance of incomplete syllables from his gullet, fatigue finally setting in.
  56.
  57. The arm he pulled away from her pursuing stub, evolving into a new slender forearm shuddered in reverence to the exhaustion he was usurped by. "Al-... Most.... There..." He mustered the energy to speak, wading fingers trailed the pathway of erecting bones, soon completed down to the fingertips in articulated where strings of pulsating mass latched-- The wrist was formed, though devoid of skin to protect it just yet.
  58.
  59. Muscle tissue slowed its crawl, soon oozing betwixt every suspended joint of the skeletal formations conjured thus far. The swelling raw tissue transcended the visualization of exposed meat, into a tempered surface when fed a consistent supply of his own mana. A thin carpet trickled down from the elbow line, swiftly shrouding the construct for the finishing touches.
  60.
  61. It, was done! In light of such, Hector stumbled, falling short of breath and crashing into a chair nearby stationed for his rest once the operation was over. He hadn't the energy to even stand now, which left him vulnerable to head truma considering hi-
  62. Arms clutched around his shoulders, catching him just barely in-time, to spare him from a faceplanting descent to the marble flooring.
  63.
  64. His mask was removed to grant ease to his stressed breathing; "The operation... Was... A success." He spoke through his breaths, supported in his short trek for a seat in the room.
  65. Immediately, the assistants stationed about the room that weren't checking up on Hector rushed about Sana, undoing her restraints to allow her to admire her new arm.
  66.
  67. It was as good as new, though it was very much notable. It felt exactly like the former one, save for few errors in the reconstruction process, such as stretching, tears, and imperfections here and there. Though, it moved and functioned all the same. The only difference one could possibly experience is the lack of experience in weilding that arm once more, for even now, the brain was likely to have adapted without it, now taking need to relearn the process of utilizing the arm as it once did.
  68.
  69. "You may... Go on, with your day... Feel free to say unto others, of my abilities... As my testimony, at your own leisure." He spoke through his breath, head hunkered down.
  70. (Hector Vernon)
  71. Letting out a scream of pain, she would clearly be in pain from all this. The Soothe Reed had clearly not been as effective during this part of the operation. She then looked to the arm as soon as it was in it's full seeing all the imperfections in it. She smiply shrugged it off for the moment and knew that it would take some time for her brain to get used to it. As soon as she was released, she would sit up and admire the arm more.
  72.
  73. "Thank you um... Hector was it? I really do appreciate this second opportunity of having my arm back. It will be a great help in the future and you may never know what happens in that." She would seem fine as she sat there and was going to have to train her new arm later so that she could use it properly again. She would tell others of this so that they could one day turn to this man for help if they ever need it.
  74. (Sana Aldren-Ninetails)
