Unchanging Seasons (11/14/19)

The wind whips
The leaves fall and crunch
Bitter cold ripples throughout the land
However, there's an eternal warmth; call it a hunch
Though the dark arrives sooner
And winter is near
May the ice never give way under my feet
So long as You are here
The excuses pile up like presents under a tree
Pay no mind to the changing season
I shall never truly tire
For you are my reason
Without You, I would surely slip
Temperatures aren't the only thing low
Sickness will not remain
Because it is Your healing touch that I know
It never lets go.
