  1. It was time.
  2.
  3. Bedivere took a deep breath and took a small step forward and stared silently at the downed figure before him.
  4.
  5. A twisted mirror, a perverted image, yet it was all to familiar.
  6.
  7. A terrifying possibility of what could have been, of what could have happened.
  8.
  9. "My Leige," Bedivere says pointing his sword at Artoria Pendragon who looked at him stoically with piercing yellow eyes "it is time for you to stand down."
  10.
  11. Artoria chuckled lowly before rising up on shaky legs, "I refuse."
  12.
  13. A grunt and a burst of power, the rubble beneath her feet crumbles from the sudden shockwave of energy.
  14.
  15. "I will not yield to one of my knights, as a King I will fight until I fall. So let us end this Bedivere, let us end this as knights should."
  16.
  17. Bedivere's face flickers with many emotions before settling on mournful, with a sigh he takes his stance "Very well my liege."
  18.
  19. "Let us begin."
  20.
  21. The air stills, as both knights stand across from one another staring at each other with measured looks.
  22.
  23. and suddenly, they moved.
  24.
  25. Artoria leaps into the air and brings her blade down like guillotine, the air hissing as the blade moved with force and precision.
  26.
  27. Bedivere dodges and thrusts his blade, but is parried when his liege lands and pivots quickly to deflect his blade.
  28.
  29. Bedivere stumbles but recovers quickly, yet is still put on the back foot as Artoria presses her advantage.
  30.
  31. Blades sang and knights danced, iron and steel flashed as they flew across the air to strike at their master's foe.
  32.
  33. "Good work Bedivere," Artoria mutters swinging her blade with the aid of a mana burst, causing the blade to roar as energy flared to life and consume it, sending Bedivere flying back when his own blade failed to block "such is the skill befitting of my knights of round."
  34.
  35. "However," she snaps with a glare as she watches Bedivere struggle to stand, "It is over now. Fall to the might of my Excalibur."
  36.
  37. Her hands grip the pommel of her blade and she raises it above her head.
  38.
  39. Immediately black energy once more roars to life on the blade and begins to grow and strengthen as motes of black light begin to flock towards the blade.
  40.
  41. "This is bad," Bedivere grits out as he sheathes his blade, "but there is still hope, I will not give up."
  42.
  43. Taking a few steps forward, Bedivere takes a deep breath and closes his eyes.
  44.
  45. His hand places itself over his chest and begins emitting a soft glow.
  46.
  47. "This arm of mine......glows with an awesome power! Its shining grip tells me to defeat you!"
  48.
  49. Immediately his arm begins to shine in a Golden light, His eyes snap open and he begins to run forward to a now alarmed Artoria.
  50.
  51. "TAKE THIS!" Bedivere roars, rearing his arm back as Artoria begins the motions to swing her sword. "MY LOYALTY, MY HOPE AND ALL OF MY STRENGTH"
  52.
  53. "Bedivere you-!"
  54.
  55. "SWITCH ON!"
  56.
  57. "SO BE IT! SWALLOW THE LIGHT! EXCALIBUR-"
  58.
  59. "AIRGETLAM!"
  60.
  61. "-MORGAN!"
  62.
  63. Eyes flashes and both forces roared as the put their heart into one final attack.
  64.
  65. And the world was consumed with light.
  66. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  67.
  68. The battlefield was in ruins smoke rose out ground from the aftermath of the attacks clashing with one another.
  69.
  70. Two figures lay on the ground, their swords discarded and their bodies exhausted.
  71.
  72. Bedivere rises slowly and dusts himself free of dirt.
  73.
  74. "My liege," he sighs sadly looking sadly at the other figure, "If your attack had came a second faster, you would have won."
  75.
  76. "Did you lose on purpose?"
  77.
  78. A chuckle was his response as golden lights start to consume the figure.
  79.
  80. "No, it is as I said Bedivere. As a King and as a knight I fight until the end."
  81.
  82. Her body starts to fade and she turns towards the now silent Bedivere.
  83.
  84. "Be proud my dear knight, you have won this battle. You do Camelot proud."
  85.
  86. She disappears, her body fading into flickering motes of light leaving Bedivere alone.
  87.
  88. "Thank you, My liege."
