Dearka: So we’re gonna be using nuclear missiles ourselves, huh.

宗介
「さっきのボアザン軍との戦闘で、ルナツーからの
[ネオ・ジオン]艦隊を阻止できなかった。
連中は、核を手に入れたと見て間違いない」
Sousuke: Thanks to the earlier battle with the Bozanian forces, we were unable to stop the [Neo Zeon] fleet coming from Luna II. There can be no doubt our opponents will have nukes as well.

クルツ
「その上、俺達だけで
[アクシズ]を止めなきゃならねえからな」
Kurz: And we gotta somehow manage to stop [Axis] ourselves.

ディアッカ
「だけど、この世界でも核は御法度なんだろ?」
Dearka: Still, aren’t nuclear weapons forbidden in this world?

クルツ
「その通りだが、
アクシズの核パルスエンジンが点火されたら、
なりふり構っちゃいられねえ」
Kurz: They are, but once Axis’s nuclear pulse engines ignite, we aren’t gonna have much of a choice.

三日月
「…やることが決まってるなら、
後はそれを実行するだけでしょ」
Mikazuki: ...If we already decided what we need to do, all we need to do is just do it.

アスラン
「………」
Athrun: ...

クルツ
「お前らが核攻撃に敏感なのはわかるよ」
Kurz: But I get that you guys aren’t exactly fans of nuclear attacks.

ディアッカ
([血のバレンタイン]か…)
Dearka: ([Bloody Valentine]...)

ディアッカ
(あれで酷い目に遭ったのはアスランだけじゃねえ…。
俺達[コーディネイター]が[ナチュラル]を憎むように
なったのは、あの事件が発端の一つだ)
Dearka: (Athrun’s not the only one that suffered from that incident... It’s one of the causes for why we [Coordinators] despise [Naturals] so much.)

ムウ
「ブライト大佐がどうやって核を手に入れたか、
知らされていないが…事が公になれば、
手配した人間もただでは済まないだろう」
Mu: We still don’t know exactly how Captain Bright managed to get his hands on those nukes... But whoever arranged for it won’t be getting off lightly if it ever goes public.

ムウ
「核を託す側も託される側も、
相当な覚悟があるってことだ」
Mu: Both the person delivering the nukes and the one receiving them need to be prepared for the consequences.

アスラン
「俺も核を使った機体…ジャスティスを託されました。
今、ネオ・ジオン軍を止めなきゃならないと
いうことはわかっているつもりです」
Athrun: I’m using a nuclear-powered machine myself... The Justice was entrusted to me. I think now I can be sure that I should be stopping Neo Zeon.

ムウ
「なら、いい。
今回の作戦はディバイン・ドゥアーズ初めての
大仕事だ。必ず成功させなきゃな」
Mu: That’s good then. This is the Divine Doers’ first big job. We can’t mess it up.

「…どうも慣れないな、その名前」
Mikazuki: ...I’m still not used to that name.

ムウ
「実行者ってのは、
お前さん向きの言葉だと思うけどな」
Mu: I actually think the “doer” part fits you pretty well.

三日月
「俺はオルガが立ち上げた[鉄華団]の一員だから」
Mikazuki: But I’m a member of [Tekkadan], the group Orga created.

ムウ
「それでいい。
さあ、みんな。やれることをやろうぜ」
Mu: Nothing wrong with that. Alright, come on, boys. Let’s do everything we can to get ready.

トーレス
「まもなく、アクシズ側の警戒網内へ進入します!」
Torres: We’ll be entering Axis’s surveillance range shortly!

ブライト
「核パルスエンジンは、まだ点火されていないな?」
Bright: They still haven’t started the nuclear pulse engines yet, have they?

トーレス
「はい!」
Torres: No, sir!

ブライト
「葛城二佐、ミサイルの準備は?」
Bright: Lieutenant Colonel Katsuragi, are the missiles ready?

ミサト
「ダミーを含めて、いつでも発射可能です」
Misato: We can fire at any time, same goes for the dummies.

ブライト
「では、始めるぞ!第一波ミサイル、発射!」
Bright: Then let’s begin! First wave of missiles, fire!

ライル
「大佐、ロンド・ベルのミサイル攻撃です」
Lyle: Captain, Londo Bell have begun a missile attack.

シャア
「意外に遅かったな。
核パルスエンジンの調整が済んだら、点火しろ」
Char: It took them longer than I anticipated. Start up the nuclear pulse engines as soon as the calibrations are completed.

ライル
「はっ」
Lyle: Sir.

シャア
「ナナイ、ギュネイを前に出して
ミサイルを撃墜させろ」
Char: Nanai, send Gyunei out front to shoot down the missiles.

ナナイ
「では、α・アジールも。
ギュネイは、クェスと一緒にした方が
能力を発揮します」
Nanai: Then I’ll send out the Alpha Azieru as well. Gyunei performs much better when he and Quess are together.

シャア
「厄介払いをしたいようにも聞こえるな。
核パルスエンジンが点火するまで、
はこちらに置く」
Char: Sounds to me like you just want to get rid of her. No, until the nuclear pulse engines activate, she’s staying put.

ナナイ
「…わかりました」
Nanai: ...Understood.

(An explosion sound is heard.)

シャア
「あの爆発光は…」
Char: The light from that explosion was from...

ライル
「ミサイルの中に核があったようです」
Lyle: There appear to be nukes mixed in with the missiles.

シャア
「フッ…やるな、ロンド・ベル」
Char: Heh... Not bad, Londo Bell.

Episode 99
Along With the Terrible Memories


(Scene starts on a map screen of space. The 4 battleships and Neo Zeon Geara Dogas are on the map.)

ブライト
「以後のミサイル発射は予定通りに行う。
各機は敵防衛網を突破し、アクシズの
核パルスエンジンを点火前に破壊しろ」
Bright: Subsequent missile barrages will be launched as we planned. All units are to break through the enemy’s defensive line and destroy the nuclear pulse engines before they fire up.

アムロ
「ここからの狙い撃ちは、やはり不可能なのか?」
Amuro: We aren’t able to take a shot at them from here, are we?

ブライト
「そうだ、最短コースを取ったせいでな。
後ろ側に回り込むしかない」
Bright: Yes, we had to take the shortest route to get here. We’ve no choice but to circle around to them.

アムロ
「わかった。
高速・高火力の機体を率いて突入する」
Amuro: Understood. Since my machine has high-speed and great firepower, I’ll lead the charge.

ブライト
「ああ、敵の艦隊はこちらで牽制する」
Bright: Right, and we’ll keep the enemy fleet in check.

アムロ
「頼む。
ガンダム、行きます!」
Amuro: I’m counting on you. Gundam, taking off!

(The players team and Amuro appears in the Hi-Nu Gundam. Battle 1 begins.)

(Battle 1 ends when 8 enemies are defeated.)

ブライト
「敵陣に穴が開いたな。
第二波ミサイル、発射用意!」
Bright: We’ve punched a hole in the enemy’s line. Second wave of missiles, prepare to fire!

アムロ
「!この感じは…」
Amuro: ! This feeling...

(Gyunei appears.)

ギュネイ
「またミサイルの中に核が!」
Gyunei: There are more nuclear missiles mixed in!

フォウ
「あのモビルスーツは!」
Four: It’s that Mobile Suit!

ギュネイ
「ファンネル達、一番熱量の高いミサイルだ!
当たれ!」
Gyunei: Funnels, target the missiles with the biggest heat sources! Get them!

(Gyunei shoots down all the nuclear missiles.)

トーレス
「第二波の核ミサイルが全て破壊されました!」
Torres: All the nuclear missiles in the second wave were destroyed!

ミサト
「まさか、ミサイルを見分けられるの!?」
Misato: Impossible, how could he even tell them apart!?

アムロ
「これでは牽制どころか、アクシズへの核攻撃も…」
Amuro: They’re not just keeping us at bay, but holding off the nukes heading for Axis too...

ギュネイ
「何だ、あのガンダム…前と形が違うぞ!」
Gyunei: What kind of Gundam is that...? It looks different than the others from before!

(Rezin and more Geara Dogas appear.)

レズン
「やるじゃないか、強化人間」
Rezin: Not bad, Cyber-Newtype.

ギュネイ
「俺は[ニュータイプ]だと言ったろう!」
Gyunei: I told you, I’m a real [Newtype]!

レズン
「仕事が終わったんなら、さっさと下がりな。
邪魔だ」
Rezin: You did you part, now fall back. You’re in the way.

ギュネイ
「いや、アムロのガンダムは俺がやる!」
Gyunei: No, not until I take out Amuro’s Gundam!

ナナイ
「ギュネイ、ファンネルが消耗している。
お前はいったん下がれ」
Nanai: You’re out of funnels, Gyunei. You have to come back for now.

ギュネイ
「しかし!」
Gyunei: Even so!

ナナイ
「クェスと共にロンド・ベルの核ミサイルを
撃墜してもらう。お前達にしか出来ないことだ」
Nanai: We need you to shoot down Londo Bell’s nuclear missiles with Quess. You’re the only ones that can do it.

ギュネイ
「了解…!」
Gyunei: Roger...!

(Gyunei leaves the map.)

アムロ
「時間がない!
敵機を撃破し、アクシズへ急ぐぞ!」
Amuro: There’s no time left! Destroy the enemy units and hurry to Axis!


(Scene ends.)

(Next scene picks up where it left off.)


レズン
「ふっ、ロンド・ベルなら、
鈴を鳴らしてりゃいいんだよ!」
Rezin: Heh, Londo Bell, is it? You should have stuck to ringing bells then!

アムロ
「ここで足止めされるわけにいくか!」
Amuro: We can’t just sit here and let them stall us!

(Battle 2 begins.)

(Battle 2 ends when Rezin’s HP falls below 30%.)

レズン
「時間は充分に稼いだ!後退する!」
Rezin: I should have bought all the time I needed to! We’re falling back!

(Rezin and any other enemies retreat.)

トーレス
「敵機、現戦域から離脱!」
Torres: Enemy units have withdrawn from the battlefield!

ブライト
「全艦、最大戦速でアクシズへ!
第三波ミサイルを発射しろ!」
Bright: All ships, fly to Axis at maximum combat speed! Launch the third wave of missiles!


(Scene ends.)

(Scene changes to a map screen of Axis. The Rewloola, Quess in the Alpha Azieru, Geara Dogas, and Musakas are on the map.)


シャア
「第三波が来る。クェス、狙い撃てるか?」
Char: The third wave is on its way. Can you shoot them down, Quess?

クェス
「…大佐、私、ララァの身代わりなんですか?」
Quess: ...Captain, am I just a replacement for Lalah?

シャア
「誰に聞いた?
いや、何でそんなことが気になる?」
Char: Who told you that? I mean, why would something like that bother you?

クェス
「私は大佐を愛してるんですよ!」
Quess: I love you Captain, that’s why!

シャア
「困ったな」
Char: That’s a problem.

クェス
「何故?
私は大佐のためなら、死ぬことだって出来るわ」
Quess: Why? I’d do anything, even give up my life for you.

シャア
「…わかった。私はララァとナナイを忘れる」
Char: ...Alright. Then I’ll forget about both Lalah and Nanai.

クェス
「なら、私はαで大佐を守ってあげるわ!」
Quess: Then I’ll protect you with the Alpha!

(Quess moves up.)

クェス
「行けっ、ファンネル達!」
Quess: Go, funnels!

(Quess shoots down all the nuclear missiles.)

クェス
「やった…!やりましたよ、大佐!」
Quess: I did it...! I really did it, Captain!

シャア
「いい子だ」
Char: That’s my girl.

ライル
「大佐、
核パルスエンジン全基の調整が終わりました」
Lyle: Captain, the nuclear pulse engines have finished calibrating.

シャア
「では、直ちに点火してくれ」
Char: Then start them up immediately.

ライル
「はっ!」
Lyle: Sir!

シャア
「アクシズ、行け。
忌まわしい記憶と共に…!」
Char: Go, Axis. Along with the terrible memories...!

トーレス
「ああっ!アクシズに火がつきました!
地球に降下開始です!」
Torres: Aah! Axis has started up! It’s beginning its descent towards Earth!

ミサト
「くっ…!」
Misato: Tch...!

ブライト
「作戦はプランBに移行。
アクシズに取り付き、核パルスエンジンのノズルを
破壊すると共に内部へ侵入…」
Bright: The operation is changing over to plan B. We’ll reach Axis, destroy the nuclear pulse engine’s nozzle, and force our way in...

ブライト
「網の目状の坑道を爆破し、アクシズを大きく分断。
その勢いで地球への落下コースから逸らす」
Bright: We’ll then detonate explosives within the tunnel network and break Axis apart. The force of which will divert its course away from Earth.

ミサト
「了解です」
Misato: Roger that.

ブライト
「細かい破片は、高火力攻撃で消滅させるしかない。
該当する機体は一時帰艦させ、補給を」
Bright: We’ll need considerable firepower to destroy the smaller fragments that break off. Bring back the units that fit that criteria for resupplying.

トーレス
「艦長、[ロンデニオン]から報告が!
サイド2とサイド5の連邦軍艦隊が
出撃したそうです!」
Torres: Captain, we’ve just got a report from [Londenion]! The Federation fleets at Side 2 and Side 5 have launched!

ブライト
「今頃か…」
Bright: Took their sweet time...

ミサト
「援護をしてくれるのでしょうか?」
Misato: Will they be able to provide us with backup?

ブライト
「そうだとしても、間に合うとは思えんが…
こっちの位置表示は定期的に出しておけ」
Bright: Even if they would, I don’t see them making it in time... But still, send them our coordinates periodically.

ミサト
「はい」
Misato: Right.

ブライト
「正念場だ。
ここでアクシズを止められなければ、
様々な世界を危機から救えるものか…!」
Bright: It’s do or die. If we don’t stop Axis here, we’ll never be able to save the rest of the worlds from their dangers...!

コーディネイター

登場作品    機動戦士ガンダムSEED

高い肉体的ポテンシャルを得るために遺伝子操作を
受けて産まれてきた人間の呼称。
これに対し、遺伝子操作を受けていない普通の人間を
ナチュラルと呼ぶ。

Coordinator

From:       Mobile Suit Gundam SEED

The term for humans born with genetic engineering to obtain enhanced physical potential.
In contrast, a normal human that has not undergone genetic engineering is called a Natural.


ナチュラル

遺伝子調整を受けていない人間。
遺伝子調整を施したコーディネイターと比較して、
こう呼ばれる。

血のバレンタイン

食料生産コロニー「ユニウスセブン」が地球連合軍の
核攻撃を受け、住民が全滅した事件。
2月14日に発生したことからこう呼ばれる。

Bloody Valentine

The incident where the Earth Alliance launched a nuclear strike on the food manufacturing colony “Junius Seven”, where its inhabitants were all annihilated.
It is called this because it occurred on February 14th.


ネオ・ジオン

登場作品	機動戦士ガンダム 逆襲のシャア

　シャア・アズナブルを総帥とする軍事組織。
　宇宙移民者の自治権確立を実現するため、
腐敗した地球連邦政府の打破を目論む。

Neo Zeon

From:		Mobile Suit Gundam - Char's Counterattack

A military organization led by Char Aznable.
Its goal is to overthrow the corrupt Earth Federation government and achieve autonomy for those living in space.


アクシス

登場作品	機動戦士Ｚガンダム

一年戦争で地球連邦軍に敗北して地球圏を脱出した
ジオン公国軍の残党が、火星と木星の間の
アステロイドベルトの小惑星に建造した基地。
または、そこを拠点とする勢力を指す。

Axis

From:		Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam

A base on an asteroid from the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, built by survivors from the Principality of Zeon that fled the Earth sphere after being defeated by the Earth Federation Forces during the One Year War.
It can also be used to refer to the military force stationed there.

Londenion

From:        Mobile Suit Gundam - Char's Counterattack

A colony located in Side 1 that serves as Londo Bell's base.

　「宇宙空間に適応し能力を拡大させた人類」
と言われるが、明確な定義はない。
　高い認識能力で理解しあえる人々とされる一方で、
類い希な力を発揮するため、撃墜王と同義に
語られることもある。

Newtype

From:		Mobile Suit Gundam UC

"Humans that have adapted to life in outer space and have thus expanded their capabilities", or so many people believe, though there is actually no clear definition.
One one hand, they are known to particularly apt at understanding their peers due to their high awareness and perception skills; on the other hand, Newtypes are often revered as some of the greatest ace pilots due to their exceptional talent.
