  1. Questing for Glory Cursory Games submissions look/wishlist
  2.
  3. This was typed up relatively quickly, looking from top to bottom, if I skip your submission, it’s not personal, just immediately pointing out stuff that interests me without much extra thought or research if I don’t know the game or run at a glance. Also hard to notice races or multiples unless noted in the pitch. Again, I did almost no research on any of these compared to probably 20+ hours of research for every games prediction show so this is *super* informal even compared to my normal idiocy and likely to be even worse and dumber than normal. Why are you reading this?
  4.
  5. Overall very interesting set of games. Weirdly, everything is either 2 hours or less or longer than 7 hours it feels like which makes the 3-4 hour games kinda stand out and borderline helps them as a way to balance the schedule so that it doesn't feel like the schedule is moving either rapid fast (For RPGs) or really slow with long games.
  6.
  7. Witcher 3 – Honestly I’d like to see this one purely for personal data (I love tracking how stuff like this performs on Youtube; it’s the closest to a usable metric for expected popularity and not altogether inaccurate at times although margin for error is huge and also Youtube algorithm can muck things up)
  8.
  9. Disgaea 1 Complete – Series tends to do well for the channel as a 1 of on Youtube, would be cool to see a new run somewhere. Also gives a metric for how a slightly longer than normal run of the series could do.
  10.
  11. Baten Kaitos – Long game with an audience that struggles to fit elsewhere. Kinda the type of game Q4G exists to showcase, although I *wish* so bad this was like 3 hours shorter. Even a week long marathon struggles to find room for it unfortunately.
  12.
  13. Final Fantasy 5 – one of the lesser showcased FF games, tends to do pretty well, Bich is awesome. Also, every RPGLB event needs a baseline set of FF games since they help drive viewership, I think this is probably one of the best potential ones to do.
  14.
  15. The World Ends with You Final Remix – Would love to see Brooke get a chance to showcase this since the other top runners have all had great showings elsewhere. Would like to see the DS version shown at some point but that’s probably a year or two away at minimum (also can’t do it myself because that game destroys my hands and is stupid hard to practice)
  16.
  17. Star Wars KotoR – Always nice to see a race, and this game doesn’t get shown often enough on the channel
  18.
  19. Fire Emblem Three Houses – Girl
  20.
  21. Dragon Quest 11 – PC run with OOB is really interesting; would love to see it showcased. Curious to see performance given heavy switch marketing. Also curious if Switch version will end up being faster for misc reasons, even without OoB potential
  22.
  23. Pokemon Pearl – Pretty sure there’s no Gen 4 Glitchless shown on the channel at all. Pearl isn’t my favorite pokemon run but Gen 4 has its mega fans and there’s a legitimate niche here worth filling
  24.
  25. Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate – Was back and forth on this for main event; would love to see it piloted here. Very curious to see how this does numbers-wise and have a larger marathon showcase for it
  26.
  27. Yggdra Union – This game is weird. But also oddly pretty. And Dowolf has incredible marathon presence. This also struggles to fit other events but could find a very welcomed presence here.
  28.
  29. Chrono Cross – Any excuse to listen to Ash’s commentary and Chrono Cross’s OST is worth it.
  30.
  31. Mother 3 – Not sure this has been done on the channel ever? Dying to see performance relative to similar Mother games. Lots of good and bad to unpack for speedrun, shame the rumors of a localized ROM staying a touch of a button away from release but getting shelved because Wii U is sad.
  32.
  33. Dragon Quest Heroes Rocket Slime – GK is a good friend, weird but cool game, and probably needs a showing somewhere to gauge runs viability in future marathons. Would love to see done here.
  34. Persona 3 Portable/ Persona 4 Golden – No idea what to make of my own submissions. I state my problems with both pretty clearly – P3P is very problematic for the RPGLB channel as a whole despite probably being ready for a showcase otherwise, P4G is amazing as always but debatably, the longer game slots should go to those that haven’t had much chance like Baten Kaitos. Really would love to see Mul run the latter in a marathon at some point; there’s a lot I’ve never realized he did until recently and hearing that all in one place would be incredible.
  35.
  36. Final Fantasy 15 – Kyos does this run pretty well, longer showcase of the game is probably worthwhile.
  37.
  38. Final Fantasy 14 – Intriguing to think about but I think seeing a full team showcase raids quickly would be potentially better? Hearing MooMoo talk about WoW and raid speedruns is really interesting and not a showcase that’s possible at a main event due to logistics but shouldn’t cause problems here.
  39.
  40. Super Hydlide – Every marathon needs bad games by either Mike or Brossentia. This fits the bill.
  41.
  42. LotR: FotR – The world needs more PeteDorr.
  43.
  44. Super Mario RPG – Pidge is awesome and this run is awesome. Sadly dislike the lack of a full game completion but this is a satisfying enough ending that the game doesn’t feel unfulfilled.
  45.
  46. SMT4:A – Best 3DS game on hardest difficulty is amazing. This is a game that the final boss at max level is still *stupidly* difficult to beat.
  47.
  48. Atelier Totori – This game’s run isn’t amazing but it is funny to see the normal ending final boss 3 shot at level 5. Alchemy is fun. Also final boss theme is Try which is one of the all time great boss themes.
  49.
  50. Final Fantasy 4 – More FF, this one gets showcased a lot in rando, which I think could have a reverse effect of also helping people gain interest in the vanilla run.
  51.
  52. Ys vs Trails – Music + Schtolteheim make this a great choice although as a pseudo fighting game, it’s not amazing outside of it’s length. Might be me just wanting to see Schotle in and I don’t know which of his other games would be more likely without a fair bit of research that I’m not really looking to do. This game’s existence is super cool though.
  53.
  54. Sylvan Tale – Just a cool game that exists. Also short and I could listen to Shen talk about obscure Sega for ages.
  55.
  56. Crosscode – Very weird how this game’s developed. Sloa really probably needs to get his time down but given how much this game exploded on the indie scene, it’s been relatively underwhelming and underrepresented at events, especially at higher levels. Would still like to see it get exposure and explored – delayed Switch port may end up also helping with visibility.
  57.
  58. Shadow Hearts – Pretty sure this is the only one in the series to not be in the main marathon. Would be cool to complete the set somewhere although I’d also not be shocked to see this in main event in 1-2 years.
  59.
  60. Lufia 2 Ancient Cave – Hard to argue that this doesn’t usually earn its keep. Great music and constant reaction to changing things. Not the most marathon safe but who cares – Zack makes this work
  61.
  62. .hack Infection – Didn’t realize until this point that it could be a race. Especially if they can poach MooMoo for commentary, this game is amazing as a race and earns a 2 hour slot pretty consistently
  63.
  64. God Eater – I’m a bit curious how this’d do. I love the game’s character designs but it’s not done super well in the west. End is pretty absurdly good at everything he does though.
  65.
  66. Tales of Berseria – I love this game although it’s a very weird Tales speedrun. Hard to argue that the movement is a bit slow and fights have the TWEWY effect of being stupid fast and then over. That said, it’s had very little presence outside the main marathon and is the best received game in the series since Vesperia, while being a solid but oddball Tales run (arguably Zestiria is a better speedrun with worse combat, and Graces is a god tier speedrun when able to be executed at a high level which like 4 people on earth can do). Still want to see this done at main event.
  67.
  68. Rhapsody – This is just a super cool game that should be showcased when there’s a good chance to. Its length can make it a bit hard to fit in but probably can make sense here.
  69.
  70. Tales of Xillia – Personal gripes with the game aside (never rush games to meet arbitrary anniversaries people), I don’t think Jude’s route has been showcased before or in a long time and I think it’s somewhat more interesting than Milla’s. Also, Pivot Snap should just become a universal Tales mechanic because it’s fun as hell.
  71.
  72. Neutopia 2 – The original has done stupidly well, definitely a good idea to show the sequel imo.
  73.
  74. NieR – Not super common to showcase but given that I believe it’s had content objections for the main marathon, would like to see it showcased if it makes sense to.
  75.
  76. Paper Mario – Yoshi-Zilla is super good but also just ran this at RPGLB and the game likely can be done literally every other year at main event. That said, it’s *never* a bad take under any circumstances – very easy to follow while being entertaining and pretty damn crazy with a ridiculous speed cap.
