  5. Class: Ascendant (Cleric-Paladin)

Combat Talent: War Personified; So potent is Areia's breath, that she can use it to imbue her or an allies weapon with the effect for the duration of combat, by concentrating for a turn to breath it hot and heavy along the weapon. The draw back being this disables her dragons breath for the next 4 turns.

Noncombat Talent: Hopeless Romantic; Areia for all her marshal discipline and focus, is an utterly hopeless romantic at heart, wanting nothing more than to play matchmaker for those she deems to make cute couples. This has given her a bizarre insight into relationships and anything that one might call mushy romantic schlock. +2 to any situation involving Romance or Love.

  9. Racials:Dragon Flight: With or without wings, you are able to fly and hover while carrying heavy loads. Dragons can remain airborne indefinitely.

  11. Chromatic Scales: instant automatic; 3 times per combat; At character creation choose an element type such as fire, ice, or lightning. When you use this ability, any attacks or skills against you that turn that share that element do no damage and cause no negative effects. This also allows you attempt feats most other races can’t (e.g. Swimming in lava with fireproof scales or bathing in liquid nitrogen with iceproof scales).

  13. Dragon Breath: recharge 2; Your dragon breath is far more developed than other dragons, able to cover a wide range and inflict damage. At character creation choose an Elementalist effect for your breath that will determine its element and effect. You can target up to 10 enemies with this attack, but the recharge increases by 1 for each enemy beyond 1 that you target. You can also use your breath to magically send messages, as long as established a link with your message recipient beforehand.

  15. Skills:Multiclass Skill, Empower Weapon: automatic instant, recharge 4 after effect ends; Give either yourself or an ally +3 bonus to basic attacks. Each successful attack reduces the bonus by 1 until it reaches 0, ending the effect.

  17. Free Skill, Word of Power: Use a mix of authority and your own personal methods to extract information from a target that you would not normally get from basic means. In combat you can force an enemy to miss their next attack. On Crit you render the target helpless.

  19. Purify: recharge 1; Bless an ally so they can pierce through any resistance and corruption. The next time they attack, they ignore all modifiers on their enemy (i.e. They do full damage, use standard DC, etc,). On Crit this blessing cleanses their soul or blade, giving them the option to remove a negative effect on themselves, or a buff on the enemy they attack.

  21. Blast: locked, recharge 1, weapon; Your weapon lands with explosive force, dealing damage. This attack autocrits a specific type of foe, selected when the skill is learned. The type chosen must be specific, such as a Race or specific Class, with no ambiguity or wide range of multiple types under it Preferred Target:Robots

  23. Spellbreaker: recharge 2, ranged; Purge a target, nullifying a spell they are casting or removing a magic effect on them. On Crit you may purge their body of magic, removing all magic effects on them and preventing them from casting any spells next turn.

  25. Weapon Skills:Heavy: passive; A weapon of massive size takes more strength to wield, but lands with much greater force. Skills and attacks with this weapon have a Crit Range of 9+, and a Crit Fail Range of 2-.

  27. Cleave: weapon; Attack multiple nearby targets with a single blow. You can target any number of enemies with this skill, but each additional target over 2 increases your Critfail range by 1 (e.g. Attacking 3 targets crit fails on 3-, 5 targets crit fails on 5-. etc.,)

  29. Overheating: passive; Energy weapons do not take up a tag "slot", and can be attached to any weapon regardless of rulings limiting the amount of weapon tags you can take. Energy weapons always count as having an Elementalist effect, chosen on weapon creation. Much like firearms, however, Energy weapons can only be used a certain amount of times consecutively before they begin to overheat, increasing the critfail range by 1 for every "charge" used over the threshold. The cooldown on a Energy weapon is equal to the amount of charges used while overheating-1, minimum 1.

  31. Meltdown: weapon; Bring your Energy weapon to its full, lethal potential. Attack autocrits, but also auto-critfails. Counts as 2 charges for the purposes of Overheating.

  33. Plasma: The target is blasted by searing magitek energies, taking 2 extra hits on a crit, and with a 1 in 10 chance to become crippled when attacked while helpless. Outside of combat, plasma can soften or outright melt solid objects, although the difficulty of doing so depends on the object.

  43. Bio:Areia is a curious one, having been raised in a fairly normal life on a decently populated world, she felt an insatiable wanderlust and desire to prove herself among the stars. Having once been something of a scrawny nerd, she would drop almost all of her old habits, though if one were to work hard enough on her she would be more than willing to talk about them. Aside from her obsession with trying to play matchmaker, she wanted nothing more than to not be that kind of person anymore, all stemming from an incident in which she was locked in a closet with a malfunctioning janitor robot, something that has given her a life long dislike of them from that point on. After feeling confident in her abilities, she bought herself an old ship, and taken to looking for new friends and a new quest to sink her teeth into.
