Background:
Traits- This Clan is more of a Sect so only the direct line share blood.  Thus the appearances of the clan members vary but there are certain things that they have in common.  They would have one eye color but each eye would have a single ring of color around it, sapphire blue.  While they usually have dark hair and tanned skin from being in the desert another shared trait would be a mark on their forehead that appears when allowed.  This mark is given to them at birth after their affinity is checked for different summons and the one with the highest gets marked through fuinjutsu to increase it so they can use the Clan's Hiden with more proficiency and ease.

Traditions- After birth the members of the clan would gather and  erect a large fuinjutsu seal on the ground before placing the child within it before activating it.  This would let a psuedo summon activate letting various creatures appear in illusionary shape float around within the seal.  The closer they were to the child the higher the affinity and the larger they are the higher the affinity.  In the end the child would subconciously pick one of them and then the seal would be disactivated and destroyed to keep people from finding it.  The creature chosen would be branded onto the child's forehead.  The Sect is usually peaceful and avoid conflicts unless they have no choice as in a mission or self defense or god forbid war.  Tradiationally they are scholars and scientists.  Researchers.

[10:11 PM] KiraYamato: Influence- The clan has significant influence in the running of the village having been able to get different departments or groups within the government to move the way they want when they want.  But of course this is due to their mysterious nature and secrecy of their Hiden.  That and the contributions to war time and the like as the clan was known for leaving no surviving enemies in a battle.  It was their way of keeping enemies from finding out about their existance or what their Hiden is or can do.  Other then that they are a peace loving clan that prefers peace time over times of war so that they can study and experiment.  Their influence is very deep within Suna and they tend to hide in the shadows and when on speaks of the Illuminati within Suna they will do so in hushed whispers afraid to bring themselves into the view of it.  But in truth it is none other then the Atsumaya Sect controling things and manipulating in the shadows, they are truly secretive.(edited)

[10:45 PM] KiraYamato: History-  The Atsumaya clan is heralded as one of the oldest clans known or is talked about in rumors as some say that it is even older then the village hidden in sand itself, Sunagakure.  But whether or not these rumors are true may or may not be known as in the beginning the Atsumaya Sect was nothing more then the gathering of liked minded people who held certain creatures in high esteem.   That and the fact that there are Bijuu roaming the world made them realise if a Bijuu can exist then why can't other certain creatures too exist?!?  This lead them down a long history of studying fuinjutsu and space time jutsus before hearing about summoning techniques.  While they are ashamed that they weren't the first ones to learn of this or create it they weren't slow to move.  As such they sent out disciples disguised as newby shinobi to every corner of the world learning every kind of summoning, fuinjutsu or space time type jutsu through stealing, killing, or other methods.  They did anything they could to gather a wealth of knowledge.

With it gathered up together they would each learn all they could then began starting by intermixing each and every part of the things they gained to create even more new things.  The first things they managed to make as their own is special Tags or paper seals, not that much unlike what an onmyoji might use.  They would have the image of a creature on the tag or seal and when chakra is used and activated they would mimic one of the creatures abilities and make an illusionary image of the creature appear for a pseudo summoning.  But this was merely the beginning in a long line of research.  In actuality the clan is thousands of years old but the sad part is that is never grown very large.
[10:52 PM] KiraYamato: With the small size of the clan or well sect came the need for secrecy and the fact that they had stolen much of the knowledge and techniques that are required for the foundation of their Hiden meant that if it is found out they could have many many enemies.  This being the case once Sunagakure seemed to being a thing they moved to the area and began getting people loyal to them in places of power and made a secret underground area deep deep underneath the village to hide.  With their influence they would stir the village into look up towards mythical beasts and creatures and even lead people to create areas within the desert with the likenessed of things such as the vermillion bird, phoenix, dragons, long gui, and others.  With this effort came acceptance as the village couldn't find it within them to turn away a clan that had such a large impact on its society and religion and beliefs systems.  But before they known it years have gone by and the Atsumaya clan has all but vanished from the village as they went deeper into hiding only to come out when they need to use their influence to get things from the village.  Or in times of war when they would send out their members to reign hell upon their enemies.
