  1. Glitch List:
  2.
  3. Notes about tricks are sometimes listed in parenthesis after the trick.
  4. Certain tricks list a version afterward. These tricks only work on those versions; this does not mean they are valid on the other version- they simply do not work at all.
  5.
  6.
  7. The general idea is based on the following three guidelines:
  8.
  9. 1: You must be where the game thinks you are
  10. 2: You must be where the game intends you to be
  11. 3: You must travel as the game intends you to travel
  12.
  13. It is understood that defining the game's "intent" can be difficult. Hopefully, the banned/allowed listing that follows will clarify things.
  14.
  15.
  16. Banned Tricks:
  17.
  18. General Banned Tricks:
  19.
  20. Any Out of Bounds/Unloaded Areas*
  21. Any Clipping through/between Objects
  22. Back in Time/Title Screen Glitch
  23. Map Glitch
  24. Long Jumps^
  25. Super Jumps^
  26. Bomb Boosts
  27. Jump Strikes~
  28.
  29. *This includes partially loaded areas, if necessary. The game should fully load each area you enter, regardless of how you enter it.
  30. While this is generally noticeable through the mini-map, the mini-map is not always loaded in sync with the area Link is in, and is not a definitive guide.
  31. ^In the context of using them for sequence-breaking; normal LJ's and SJ's are allowed if in actual combat against the enemy to kill it.
  32. Actual combat is defined as: You have a real enemy, and your attacks are intended to, and you ultimately do, kill the enemy.
  33. In the case of pull chains, long jump attacks are also allowed here; pulling the chain is sufficient for "killing" it.
  34. ~Jump Strikes (to skip triggers) are banned.

  106. Knowing where to go and skipping certain tasks because they're not required for progression (although the game wants you to do them) is completely valid.
  107. Example being Lanayru Twilight, dashing to the Great Bridge of Hylia and skipping entering Castle Town.
  108. Savewarps, Deathwarps, Voidwarps, Lavawarps, and Cutscene Warps are all valid.
  109. Most bosses remind you of which strategies you can use to beat them. "All Strats Allowed" is where *ANY* strategy with items you have obtained so far is usable.
