[21:46] <[Multi]_Kateb> [[Not all, though. A scant five years or so have passed since two countries were almost simultaneously overtaken in a military coup. Their capitals seized, the two regions proceeded to pronounce themselves united; two halves of the same political entity.
[21:46] <[Multi]_Kateb> [[This sudden and remarkeable action was primarily the fruit of the efforts of Kateb Kazayma, an officer in the Desert country's army. Having seen so many families torn apart by constant warring, both in his homeland and abroad while fighting, he eventually grew sick of the affair, and decided that the fighting must be stopped, no matter what.
[21:47] <[Multi]_Kateb> [[Convinced that there must be others that shared his opinions, he began spreading his ideas to his close associates, attracting some sympathy. He began to establish a plan for how to effect his goal, and so sent some emissaries, discreetly, to the military of a neighbooring county. His ideas were greeted with a surprising amount of sympathy, and secret talks between the two militaries commenced. More plans were laid, and eventually the simultan
[21:47] <[Multi]_Kateb> [[Though shocking, the dual coup was not the most frightning thing; the rebel coalition army had issued a proclomation of intent to add the other provinces to the new coalition kingdom, by force if necessary. Orta province, never having been the most fearsome military force, willingly surrendered and allowed itself to be assimilated, eager for the threat of war to abate.
[21:47] <[Multi]_Kateb> [[The rest, however, did not capitulate so willingly. The remaining resistance against the first three was valiant, but ultimately fruitless against their combined tactics, intelligence, and numbers. It's been roughly two years since work on the Capital Palace, the seat of the new Coalition of Kingdoms, was begun. The last stone of the palace was only just recently placed, and Kateb called the rulers af the united Kingdoms to the Capital Palace
[21:47] <[Multi]_Kateb> [[While there, the rulers were somewhat rudely informed that their first princesses would no longer be living in their respective castles, but at the Capital Palace. There was some uproar at this announcement, but those present were ultimately convinced that it was in their best interests to allow this proposal to go through.

You were simply surprised to have soldiers in coalition uniform approach you while your parents weren't around and tell you to pack your bags. This, likewise, may have caused some uproar, but your parents' approval was ultimately forwarded to you, and you left, perhaps begrudgingly, for the palace.
