MOMAM Break

Hey Everyone


Over the past 6 Years Spike and I have had the pleasure of putting on MOMAM for you all, and it has been a BLAST. I’ve had so many incredible memories that I have been able to share with one of my best friends, and it’s been awesome to see how this event has made so many people happy! I look forward to it every year and it truly is something that the both of us are super proud of!

The reality of MOMAM is that it is a very exhausting month and that’s not including all of the work that happens before the actual event. Typically speaking, Spike and I are meeting as early as Summer to put out our thoughts and ideas to make sure the event runs as smoothly as possible come March. This year, both of us have been incredibly busy with our own side projects that we’ve been working on, along with our daily streams that we do each week. There hasn’t been a ton of free time for either of us to get together, which led to us talking about the possibility of taking one year off. After discussing it, and spending a lot of time thinking about it, we both decided it would be best for there to be no MOMAM in 2022, so that we could both focus on the projects that we’re working on, as well as give us some rest and relaxation in the month of March. We just didn’t feel confident in putting out an event that we felt would have been rushed. We’re super proud of what MOMAM has become, and we want to make sure that going forward it continues to showcase that.

This isn’t the end. We have no plans to stop doing MOMAM, and we love working together! In fact, we foresee us being able to do a lot more sporadic streams together because of the free time that opens up with a year off. We know how much this event means to a lot of you, it means a lot to us too! We just want to make sure we get it right, and rushing it feels like a rip off to both the viewers and us. We have some ideas of possibly doing a small week long event later in the year (MOMAM6.9 anyone?) but nothing really has been planned, just some spitballed ideas. We just wanted to let you all know about it once we came to our decision so it’s not a big secret for us anymore!

Thanks for supporting the event for so many years, and we’re looking forward to so many more. This is not the end I promise, just a very small break to recharge, relax, do some of our own things for a bit, and be ready to roll the following year with an even better event.
