Pixel (Gamer-themed stuff. Random weird stuff. Great quality.)

Furry stuff: Because this is my area of expertise I guess. These things contain a ton of neat parts, so even if you aren't a furry, you'll get horns/tails/ears/wings/paws.

KZK: One of the best avatar makers. Well sculpted parts, but texturing and colors could be a little better. Wide variety of avatars. Plethora of various wings/tails available.
DERP: One of the best avatar makers. Parts are decently sculpted, texturing is appealing. Selection is not as wide as KZK.
Curious: Cute, animu-inspired furries. You'll probably really only want these if you want their heads, which are simply the best heads.
Mutation Industries: Requires all the modding knowledge to work with. Company has been dead for years, but the avatars still manage to look amazing. Unique style. On the more expensive end of prices. Only four avatars. Two are in a much more cartoony style. Has sweetass cat parts available though.
Tokushi: Lots of fantasy beasts. Texturing is dull. Sculpts are okay, but sometimes ugly IMO. Quite a few original species / uncommon species here, though.
Aventity/Chimera: Efficient, cheap avatars without many parts. Texturing is clean; so is sculpting. Avatars are not exactly impressive, though. Located in an avatar mall, so you can find other parts nearby as well.
TSP/ MOR / Twitch and Snidely: HI THIS IS MY FRIEND AND I. TSP has a ton of badass parts. It's run by my buddy. MOR has 50000000 eyes and some random shit nobody cares about because I run it. Twitch and Snidely is the joint brand; we've made a plushie avatar that furries try to molest despite the fact that it has no parts or even genders.
DSD: THE TEXTURING SUCKS AND I HATE THESE the sculpts are pretty good though
