  1. Lou was nervous. He-she, the human had to remind himself, had been seeing the therapist for years now. At age thirty one, this was probably his own option and his last hope. The poor dear was transgender, or dual spirit as many in the Indigenous people would call her, though she still used . Because of this his family had all but abandoned him. While they talked to Lou, the family especially his mother, refused to talk about the transgenderism. Lou's mother would yell and lash out over it, alienating not only Lou but all of her friends.
  2. A gentle pat on his knee brought him back to reality. She looked up and smiled at him friend, Conner Holt. He had been a solid rock for him to lay him foundation. The Brabant just gave a reassuring smile as the doctor came up. He had a heathy head of dark brown hair and the bluest eyes. The doctor was also muttering about how his new shoes fit perfectly. At his own pace he walked up to Lou and Conner, holding out his hand as the two stood up.
  3. "Hello, I'm Doctor McGann. You must be Lou, and you are...?"
  4. "Conner Holt, a pleasure sir."
  5. The doctor nods and shakes both their hands. They proceeded down the hall, passing several roundels. Both stop a moment, not even noticing the doctor walk past them and into his office, which was numbered 76. Lou tilted his head and then looked at Conner
  6. "Oh, look! The round things!"
  7. "I love the round things"
  8. "What are the round things?"
  9. "No idea."
  10. Both have a good chuckle before they resumed the walk. They peaked into a couple offices before they finally found the right one. The doctor sat behind his desk, the computer on and opened to Lou's medical history. It was a spacious room, bigger on the inside than could be seen in the hallway. A picture of a black hole, seemingly at the point of decay. It looked eerily calm.
  11. “An eye of Harmony is that would remind me of..”
  12. Lou muttered to himself before taking a seat in front of the doctor. Doctor McGann raised an eyebrow before nodding and accepted the paperwork from Lou. It was quite a thick stack too, every diagnosis since he was seventeen, his police academy record, and the psychological profile from there. Doctor McGann was busy reading and Conner stayed in the background only there to offer support if the doctor said no.
  13. “You do understand that this is an experimental procedure? While it has been through six or seven regenerations, so to speak, it is still experimental. Luckily, we've removed the nasty bit about infertility.”
  14. Lou nodded, and sighed. Her eyes perked up, hoping that meant the institution would help indeed. The doctor sat back, rubbing his chin and then pulled out his pocket watch, looking at the time.
  15. “I'll make this short and sweet. Yes, we will do the procedure on you. You don't have to worry about payment. Experiments are done for a reason. Now, if you and your equinoid friend would go to the computer area, you can choose what you’ll look like we can begin first thing tomorrow. Ah, the joys of modern technology!

  17. “Alright, Lou. We’ll use this device, called the Hartnell Device, to change your gender and species permanently. It’ll fill with a nanite-filled biodata that will eat your cells and use them as energy to then ‘repair’ you into your new form.”
  18. With a nod of consent, the chamber started to fill and Lou’s body started to melt as the goo took him over. It reached Lou’s head as Conner and the doctor looked on. He turned to them and uttered his final words. Conner was trying not to cry about it, the doctor offering a pat of the shoulder.
  19. “ Is this death? Feels od…”
  20. With that Lou was dead and the bio data was now working over, using the cells to regenerate him...her. Long, fire red hair cascades down, falling over top of rounded brown ears at the top of her head. It tickles a nice, felinoid nose and two forest green eyes peek out from beneath the bangs. Her face clearly looks like it still is in her early thirties but is still gorgeous and full of life.
  21. “Doc, is she done yet?”
  22. “Not yet, Conner.”
  23. Her neck is graceful and led down to two slim shoulders. Her body looked like an athlete's body but an athlete who didn’t bother to work out all the time, just the occasional jogging and friendly volleyball match in the summer. Her arms are slender but toned, her breasts are large, probably a DD cup, but tight and high on her chest. The cougar's belly is toned and shows some hints of muscle and gently slows down to her pubic area following the gentle roll of her wide hips. Her butt is toned, and heart shaped but it’s obvious from the panties that form over it her butt and top still have some chub though it was healthy. This butt sat atop thick womanly thighs and good looking calves. Overall, her body isn’t too big or too small, but just right in all the correct places.
  24. Her fur is tawny brown and well kept. She is the type of woman that would wear either nothing at all or a bikini top and tight shorts. The cougaress doesn't believe in wearing shoes, preferring to let her feet be one with nature.
  25. “There. She’s done. Let’s give her some time to wake up.”

  27. “Lou, are you okay?”
  28. “Lou? Who’s Lou.”
  29. Conner looked to the doctor, who gave a bit of a smirk. It was clear that the horse wasn’t quite caught up to speed on what exactly happened. It was obviously to Doctor McGann that a rejuvenation occurred. He coughed and then cougar and equine turned their heads towards him. With that, he held out a plain, white bag.
  30. “Jelly baby? But seriously, if you don’t wish to be called Lou then what do you prefer to be called?”
  31. “Now, wait a minute a Doc. What just happened?”
  32. “Change, m’dear. And it seems not a moment too soon…”
  33. “Lily.”
  34. “I’m sorry?”
  35. “I’d prefer to be called Lily. Lily Dawn Moon.”
  36. Both Conner and Doctor McGann nodded with Conner handing the cougar female a bag. She escapes into a room real quick and changes into the clothes. Conner starts scarfing down the jelly baby, much to the annoyance of Doctor McGann.
  37. “Doctor Halloway, could you please---”
  38. “YES!”
  39. “What? What is it, Lily?”
  40. “These shoes! They fit perfectly! I doubt I’ll wear them much though.”
  41. That only leaves the doctor shaking his head and trying not to laugh as the two leave ready to start their new life.
