“Ok, so what’s the game-plan? Those guys look pretty tough and we haven’t even seen all of them.” You couldn’t help but let a little eagerness leak into your voice as you licked your lips, that good ole Barker stubborn streak starting to bleed through. The other team was not only the enemy, but they were an enemy who seemed like a challenge.

“Three known enemies, at least one unknown. Possibly two if they’re already a full team. Unless they’re cornering Toto for their own recruiting. Odds are they’ll have some clue we’re coming thanks to having spotted Arley’s Cry-drone and possibly traced us back though her nano-wires. So we probably don’t have the drop on them and we’re dealing with some unknowns.” Trev spoke up, assuming command as he ran down the situation. No one else contested this, leaning in to listen more closely. “Fairy girl’s probably a high emission and creation type blaster. Possibly a fair amount of Transformation unless that’s a bloodline. The dust was clearly physical, but volatile. Mercy’s already given us a rundown on the elf.”

“Well, dibs on pretty princess muscles!” You grinned widely with a giggle. “I’m going to be ALLL up in that!”

“Alright you horny little midget. I’ll keep the Fairy girl busy, since her dust seems to have a physical component to it. I might be able to bog it down and contain it and her.”

“I guess I’ll hit up Misty with Thorley. If we can put her down quick then that’ll free up the rest of the team.” Mercy replied before grabbing me by the scruff of the neck. “I’ll get him in faster than he can on his own.”

You pouted at the sudden manhandling, your masculine pride affronted.

Trev merely nodded and smiled. “Alright, Cruel you cover the last guy and keep him from too many overt moves. Arlene, you cover the rest of us, get your scanning gear in high and link to us. We need to spot the other team members so we can adapt on the fly whenever they hit.”

Arlene nodded, her face now surrounded in a crystalline visor as tiny crystal spiders grew around her then leapt onto each of you in turn. “I can keep track of you with these, don’t worry about the nano-wires getting in the way. If they break then it’ll still work until you’re about 20 meters from the nearest wire. My emissions is pretty bad by not so bad I can’t transmit a bit of information. Alright I’m patched in to your PDA’s.”

Trev simply leaned in and kisses her on the cheek, leaving her to act with a moderated amount of red faced surprise even as Cruel looked on with a twitch of annoyance in his eye.

“Alright, let’s do this!” Trev set it all in motion.

You lurched forward, jerking and bobbing as Mercy made full use of those intensely sexy muscles of hers, springing into motion to cover distance between you and your foes. As such it was a bit of a thrill ride as your favorite sex-shark swung into the trees, leaping from on high to grab as much of the element of surprise as possible in this match up. Your vision lit with outlines of each of the identified fighters, the work of Arlene’s little spider interfacing with your PDA and feeding the context information to your own visual senses through it.

Which of course made it all the more annoying when you and Mercy got made even as you made that final decent from the treetops.
