Upon entering the sizable chapel, and facing down toward the nave of the chapel, onlookers can see it’s traditionally inspired design, making use of a series of windows that directly draws its primary source of light from the glare produced from the New Eden Gate itself to provide the majority of the chapel’s light. Pews are set side by side facing toward the New Eden gate, 2 abreast and 15 rows deep, set upon a marble floor that’s polished to a degree the light reflects back upwards keeping the entire chapel bathed in light. At the front, a small altar sits adorned with a few incense candles and a copy of the Scriptures opened at Book 1 detailing the Creation.The Amarr people came into the world and the world came into being.Our illustrious ancestors freed their souls from the evils of the old.world and created a new one.The great Amarr Empire was founded to cultivate the spirit of man.To do so the enemies of the outside had to be defeated and the enemies of the inside controlled.- The Scriptures, Book I 1:14Off to the side are various private alcoves for use by priests and members of SFRIM which are neatly kept sparse with a small table and kneeling mats for meditation and prayer. Directly connected to the Chapel is the Abbey for the Little Sisters of the Most Holy Sword, seperaed by a large gate so only cloistered members of the Order and Special Guests can pass.The hallway outside leads to the nearby Edge of Forever Ballroom and the Farthest Star Bar.

The tension and fear are palpable, and many baseliners are feverishly praying. Among them, the muscled barkeep of Farthest Star - tears are rolling down his cheek. Theo is at the altar, waiting.*

After taking in the silence for a couple of seconds, he says "Relics are like gifts from the Sefrim. They sanctify a space and bless the faithful that pray there together. That is why we keep them in churches and chapels."

She does not have much attatchment to this location, in fact she only just arrived at New Eden and gazed upon it's wonder, and so there was no dread or fear. Only curiosity.

  26. [ 2021.09.02 20:07:25 ] Theodosius Savnar > /emote raises the first relic up above his head, facing the congregation. It is the Book of Scriptures that was always on the altar, and he says "By His light, and His will".
  27. [ 2021.09.02 20:08:31 ] Prince Seraghis > *a young ensign shuffles in, realizes he still has his sidearm, goes back, stores it in the atrium, comes back, and hurries to join Prince Seraghis and his senior officers in their dress uniforms. Prince Seraghis glares the entire time
  28. [ 2021.09.02 20:08:46 ] Theodosius Savnar > *While the choir of the Little Sisters of the Most Holy Sword sing psalms, the relic is then wrapped in a shroud, which was on the altar. An emissary from the Theology Council then carefully puts the object in a shielded reliquary.*
  29. [ 2021.09.02 20:09:41 ] Theodosius Savnar > /emote closes the reliquary with a quantum entanglement seal. One part of the seal stays with the reliquary, the other will be carried by brother Theodosius. If anyone would open the reliquary or even remotely interact with its content, the quantum entanglement between the two parts will be irrevocably broken and the opening can be detected.

  31. [ 2021.09.02 20:10:58 ] Theodosius Savnar > /emote raises the second relic, a piece of salvage from a wrecked ship found in New Eden, suspected to date to the explosion of the Eve Gate. Using the same procedure, it is placed in its own sealed reliquary.

  33. [ 2021.09.02 20:12:18 ] Theodosius Savnar > /emote raises the third one, a relic from Saint Junip. Also this relic is placed in its reliquary, in a similar manner as the other two.

  35. [ 2021.09.02 20:14:07 ] Theodosius Savnar > As the choir continues singing, the reliquaries are lifted up by members of the clergy. They form a procession with the rest of clergy. The baseliners stand up from their pews, and start to file in and follow.
  36. [ 2021.09.02 20:14:53 ] Sorana Munba > /emote watches on, her emerald gaze not lowering to the ground, but watching these holy relics with intense reverence and curiosity. As the procession procedes, so to does Sorana.

  39. [ 2021.09.02 20:17:04 ] Theodosius Savnar > /emote follows behind the procession as it proceeds out and towards the hangars. A Blockade Runner stands ready to bring the relics and the last evacuees to the safety of highsec Empire space. As Theo arrives where Aria is standing, he says, "Hi Aria. Can you help make sure everyone has left the chapel? We will close it off now."

  42. [ 2021.09.02 20:19:16 ] Theodosius Savnar > /emote looks around at the chapel, stripped of holy ornaments and bare now, checking that no clergy or station personnel is left behind.

  45. [ 2021.09.02 20:20:28 ] Sorana Munba > /emote looks at the baseliners as they board the ships, evacuating what Sorana assumed was there home for some time. How odd it was, the distance between the way she lived and the way baseliners lived. To fear for one's life. What an idea.

  47. [ 2021.09.02 20:21:36 ] Aria Jenneth > *she makes a careful tour of the place, checking, in detail, to ensure no devout faithful or frightened child is hiding (inadvertently or not) in a prayer room or the like*

  50. [ 2021.09.02 20:24:15 ] Theodosius Savnar > /emote walks to the doors, ready to close them. He kneels down and bows his head towards the bare altar, realizing it may be the last time he sees this chapel.

  52. [ 2021.09.02 20:25:03 ] Sorana Munba > /emote waits outside of the chapel, waiting for Theodosius to exit so she may catch him for a few words when he is ready.

  54. [ 2021.09.02 20:26:21 ] Theodosius Savnar > /emote bows a final time, and closes the massive doors. Farthest Light chapel is eerily quiet now. Only the kicked up dust particles still dancing in the ever changing light from Eve Gate reveal that minutes ago the last service before full evacuation took place.
  55. [ 2021.09.02 20:27:41 ] Sorana Munba > "Brother Savnar, do you have a moment to speak? I have a few questions," Sorana asks after waiting a few moments when he closed the doors. She was hoping it was not rude, but she could not contain her curiosity.
  56. [ 2021.09.02 20:27:44 ] Theodosius Savnar > /emote sighs as he turns away from the doors, and sees Sorana. "Thank you for attending Sorana. This place means a lot to me."
  57. [ 2021.09.02 20:28:11 ] Theodosius Savnar > "Sure. I would invite you to Farthest Star bar, but it has been dismantled, I'm afraid."
  58. [ 2021.09.02 20:29:21 ] Theodosius Savnar > "So, let's move towards a window", he gestures to a window at the side of the passageway to the chapel. The light from the Gate shines trough it.
  59. [ 2021.09.02 20:29:47 ] Sorana Munba > "I am glad to have been here, it was a blessing to see the Holy Light I have heard rumors of." Sorana offers in her quiet voice, before she cants her head a little to the right. "Do you think it's a test? From God that is... to allow a place so Holy to suffer from such peril?" she asks as she walks beside Theodosius to the window he gestures towards.
  60. [ 2021.09.02 20:31:53 ] Theodosius Savnar > "These are just metal walls and beams, Sorana. God is showing us that we should not attach ourselves too much to material things. But I admit, it is harder than I thought."
  61. [ 2021.09.02 20:33:20 ] Theodosius Savnar > "What makes a place holy, even more than the relics, is the faithful that reside in it. And I'm convinced they will be safe and sound."
  62. [ 2021.09.02 20:34:29 ] Sorana Munba > "That is a wise manner of thinking, Brother. Thank you for your insight," Sorana says with a smile.
  63. [ 2021.09.02 20:34:34 ] Theodosius Savnar > /emote looking at the Gate's display of light, he asks, "How have you been Sorana?"
  64. [ 2021.09.02 20:37:31 ] Sorana Munba > "I have been well. I've found gathering ice near the Cathedral in XS-XAY to be a profitable endeavor, and it's given me a lot of time to think," she offers in her quiet voice. "There have been setbacks and problems, but those are simply the little tests God places upon our path."

  67. [ 2021.09.02 20:42:37 ] Sorana Munba > "Ah, it hasn't gotten in the way much. I've adapted well to the life I've been placed into in my opinion." Sorana says, nodding a little as she brushes a lock of hair from her face. "I haven't remembered anything, but I was thinking I might start looking into my roots soon."

Though I think I shall wait until after things have settled from this assault, to ensure I'm not adding undue stress to the situation," she offers with a bit of a nod. "What I found odd is that besides to book left to me, I had nothing at all in the way of posessions save the bare essentials of what the Academy provided."

"Who I was before is not who I am now, but it would be nice to know what connected me to the universe before I became who I am today."

  78. [ 2021.09.02 20:54:50 ] Sorana Munba > "But you are right in that regards, plus the more time passes, the more curious I become as to the past." At that, Sorana smiles brightly and bows her head, a light blush upon her cheeks. "You are too kind, Brother Savnar."
