  1.
  2. Hi guys. I have been doing a lot of research about which laptop to buy. The laptops that I have been considering as potential candidates are
  3. 1. Eluktronics Mag 15
  4. 2. MSI Prestige 15
  5. 3. Prestige 14
  6. 4. PROJECT ATHENA (maybe Acer swift 3)
  7. 5. Asus ROG
  8. 6. Razer Blade (Stealth)
  9. My budget is USD 1,600 and my primary use of the laptop will be for school, coding, making notes, writing essays, reading ebooks web browsing, using the Google suite, writing on reddit, discord and other social media, streaming YouTube and watching Netflix. I would require a 1 TB SSD and 16+ GB RAM. I am not looking for used or refurbished or open-box products (I want a new one). The laptop should have 8+ hours of battery life under light usage as outlined above (web browsing and using MS Office) and 4+ when playing Fortnite, Minecraft and PubG in medium settings or while I edit videos (sometimes 4k) and media in DaVinci Resolve or am using Adobe CC 2020. The laptop should be reasonably light and should be appealing to the eye too (since I would be seeing it everyday :) ). The laptop should have 16+ GB ram, 1 TB SSD and one of the latest processors (AMD or Intel), touch-recognition/windows hello (any 1 or both) and should have a good keyboard, touchpad and speaker as well as a decent webcam when I Skype with my family and friends. The laptop should also be user- upgradeable and repairable (RAM preferably dual-channel, SSD). Furthermore, the battery of the laptop should NOT swell up and if it does I the user (me) should be able to replace it with a new battery. It should have solid performance as well as it should not throttle a lot or heat up very fast while I am playing Fortnite/PubG in medium settings or when I am web browsing or editing media (videos and photos) or when I am studying (making notes, office 365 etc, streaming a movie or watching YouTube. For this, it should have a good cooling system. It also needs to be sturdy and durable and should last me for 4 to 5 years. Primary use = school (notes, Office 365) and streaming movies and YouTube, reddit, discord) and . Secondary use= gaming (medium settings) and video editing. Lastly it should have a high resolution bright display (1080p or if possible 4k).
  10. This laptop will act as both my laptop and as a desktop/PC too since I DO NOT have a PC right now and will not be having one for the next 4 years
  11.
  12. It should be allowed to be carried on flights
