  33. The driver installation package contains the Marvell NDIS Miniport Driver for the
  34. Marvell Yukon Ethernet Controller.
  35.  
  36. This README file explains how to install the driver installation package on a
  37. system running one of the following operating systems:

  39. Windows XP/Server 2003 (x86), Windows XP/Server 2003 (x64), Windows Vista/Server
  40. 2008 (x86), Windows Vista/Server 2008 (x64), Windows 7 (x86), Windows 7/Server
  41. 2008R2 (x64), Windows 8 (x86), Windows 8/Server 2012 (x64)

  43. NOTE: Make sure that Windows is installed with the latest Service Packs
  44. and updates.

  47. 2 Required Files
  48. To install the driver, the following file is required:
  49. - setup.exe
  50.

  52. 3 Installation
  53. On plug & play Windows versions, the adapter is found, identified, and configured
  54. automatically. Cancel all operating system attempts to install the driver
  55. automatically.

  57. NOTE: To install the driver, you must be logged in as a user
  58. with administrative rights.

  60. 3.1 Driver Installation
  61. To install the driver, execute the following command:
  62. setup.exe
  63.  
  64. 3.2 Silent Installation
  65. To install the driver silently, execute the following command:
  66. setup.exe /S /LOG=%WINDIR%\YukonInstall.log
  67.  
  68. 3.3 Driver Removal
  69. To remove the driver, execute the following command:
  70. setup.exe /REMOVE=ALL
  71.  
  72. 3.4 Silent Removal
  73. To remove the driver silently, execute the following command:
  74. setup.exe /S /LOG=%WINDIR%\YukonInstall.log /REMOVE=ALL

  76. 3.5 Driver Extraction
  77. The installer can be used to extract all included Windows drivers for the
  78. supported Windows operating systems to a directory.

  80. To extract the drivers to the directory where the setup.exe is located, execute
  81. the following command:
  82. setup.exe /E
  83.  
  84. To extract the drivers to a specific directory, execute the following command:
  85. setup.exe /E=<extraction path>

  88. 4 Further Options
  89. By default, the installation directory is "%PROGRAMFILES%\Marvell\Miniport
  90. Driver". It can be changed by setting the variable "INSTALLDIR".

  92. Example:
  93. setup.exe /S /LOG=%WINDIR%\YukonInstall.log /INSTALLDIR=C:\MyDir
  94.  
  95. The installation status is logged in the file "%WINDIR%\YukonInstall.log". The
  96. log file path and name can be changed by replacing "%WINDIR%\YukonInstall.log"
  97. with the preferred file path and name.

  100. 5 Troubleshooting
  101. If you should encounter any problems with your driver installation package,
  102. please re-read the instructions above and the documentation supplied with the
  103. operating system carefully.

  105. Additionally, refer to your system event log file (using the Event Viewer), and
  106. check it for entries from the Marvell NDIS Miniport Driver. If your particular
  107. problem is not listed or the error persists, please send your system event log
  108. file to our technical support.
