  1. You stir inside the overstuffed bean-bag in your living area, the morning sun peering in from the window next to you. While you are glad to have returned to 87-B, Freddy was very active last night.
  2.
  3. “L’inspiration!” Freddy called in the middle of the night when he woke you from your sleep, scratching tirelessly at the easel. While you still have trouble understanding him, you’re pretty sure you know what that one means. But could he really not have waited until the morning?
  4.
  5. Your back pops lightly as your stretch out, a loud yawn as you roll to your side, trying to avoid the sun from blinding your sleepy eyes. “Always 6:00.”
  6.
  7. After an hour of your routine organizing of the living room, you hear one of the doors slowly open and close.
  8.
  9. “H-hi… Mike…” A sleepy voice murmurs from down the hall. The source coming from the small, blue bunny peeking from the hall.
  10.
  11. “Good morning, Bonnibel.” You call softly, attempting to give her a smile as you struggle to sit up in the chair.
  12.
  13. “Why… Are you, um…?” She asks, tilting her head slightly but still keeping herself hidden behind the wall.
  14.
  15. “Oh! Uh, Freddy was a little bit noisy last night and...” You start to explain, at least until you notice the red blush visible through her fur. You look down, realizing in your groggy stumble through the house last night, you never did add anything to your boxers. You quickly scramble off the chair and to the couch, grabbing a shirt and some shorts from last night’s laundry. “Sorry!”
  16.
  17. The small bunny giggles softly, a small smile on her face. She begins to move out from the hall once you’re dressed, twiddling her paws as she sleepily stumbles around. Her normal silk nightgown is swaying with her gentle steps, her head-fur almost in a cowlick between her ears.
  18. “S-so… Um..” Bonnibel murmurs, sitting down next to you but her eyes keyed in on her anxious paws. You lean down slightly, resting you hand next to her as the small bunny continues to mumble to herself. Giving her a smile, you nod as you give her time to release her words.
  19. “I-I-I was t-thinking… Be…Because to-d-d-day,” Bonnibel stammers, her face almost a bright beet red, “is V-Valentine’s…T-T-There’s a new cup-cupcake shop… M-Maybe you w-w-w-would like to….?”
  20. You can feel a warmth spread across your cheeks, your smile instinctively getting a bit wider. While you shared a kiss with Bonnibel, you always figured it was more of a ‘thank-you,’ ‘heat-of-the-moment’ situation. You’ve always enjoyed your time with Bonnie, when she’s able to keep regular on her dosages. The way she always seems to know what you’re thinking, the cute way she sleeps, her little titters when you compliment her… But hearing it actually from the horse’s— well, rabbit’s mouth, is entirely different.
  21. “Oh, wow. I, uhm,” you stumble along your words, attempting to clear your throat, “I… I’d really enjoy it!”
  22. “G-great!” Bonnibel squeaks as she wraps her arms tightly around you, holding you as tight as her small form can. “T-the m-mall has a new cupcake shop…?”
  23. “That sounds sweet!” You quip, giving her head a light pat as you both sit back up. “Just give me a few hours, maybe? I have to get some errands done.”
  24. Bonnibel nods and after a while longer of talking, relaxing, and you grabbing a sack of miniature figurines and dice you meant to return to Beanie, you head out of 87-B and to 93-A.
  25. As you take you take your first step off the stairs, a blue blur dashes past you from your right, nearly bowling you over before it quickly rounds the corner. “The fuck…?” You mutter, as you hear the loud steps slowly disappearing.
  26. As you make your next step, you hear the loud steps returning back from your right. You quickly take a catchers stance at the corner, planning to grab whoever may be coming. However, apparently a—as you’ve been called—husky human is apparently no match for a bunny running at fool blast as all you can manage is “Bonb-“ before the energetic hare basically tackles you to the ground.
  27. “Owwww, ow ow ow ow!” Bonbon wails between pants as she rubs her head, straddled across your stomach. “Oh my gosh! Mike, are you okay?”
  28. You cough a few times, your head still spinning from the hard fall and your gut emptied from the tackle. “Y…Yeah” You gasp up to her before taking a few deep breaths.
  29. “Good, because now I can ask ya why ya were standing in the middle of the hall?!” She chides playfully, hopping up from her ‘crash pad’ and extending a paw down to you.
  30. “Can I ask why you were running down it?” You chide back, san the playful, as you grab her paw and lift yourself up before quickly doubling over, holding your stomach.
  31. “Well, duh! If I just keep the same pace, I’ll never increase my stamina!” Bonbon states matter-of-factly, completely missing the point. “I gotta sprint some time!”
  32. “Yeah… Of course.” You grumble, picking up the sack of S&S merchandise from the ground and inspecting it for any damage. “Well, I don’t want to keep you.”
  33. “Oh naahhhhh,” the bright-blue bunny laughs, letting out a small snort, “I gotta take a water break anyways! Take a seat, Mikey!”
  34. Letting out a small sigh, but knowing you’ll make no headway with Bonbon, you take a seat on the bottom step. You quickly look down, trying to ignore Bonbon’s choice of wardrobe as her tights and sports bra leaving almost nothing to the imagination while she does her post-run stretches.
  35. Bonbon is soon to sit down next to you, emphatically telling you about the latest ‘spiritual-successor’ to The Legend of Bob and how it’s looking to be the biggest hit across the sea. You reminisce about the piles of merch you pulled in from HumieCon and get her recommendations about cartoo- Uh, animations, most of them apparently human-themed.
  36.
  37. “So, uh… Mike.”
  38. “Yeah, Bonbon?” You ask, noticing the energetic bunny seems to have gotten surprisingly serious.
  39. “Well, you see, so, like,” Bonbon stumbles, “there’s a, uh, Valentine’s sale going on at the fitness store at the mall today and, like, I’m in super need of some new pairs of leggings, some nutritional powder, a sports bra, a headband, ANOTHER headband…”
  40. Well, here she goes.
  41. “Anarmbandprobablyanothersportsbra”
  42. Should I just scratch her ears?
  43. “Moreleggingsmaybeawaterbottle”
  44. Maybe if I-
  45. “and I JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF YOU WANT TO GO WITH ME!” She suddenly shouts, panting slightly with a worried look on her face.
  46. “Wow, Bonbon, I mean, I don’t know what to say…” You laugh, scratching the back of your head idly, ruffling your hair. It’s still not the same since you shaved the mohawk for HumieCon, but honestly? You don’t mind. It reminds you of having some great times. Making your costume with her, watching that awful fucking panel, getting to laugh at Balloon Boy getting blasted into smithereens, and you can’t complain about giving her that ear-rub before Beanie interrupted. She’s always so energetic and happy, if a bit ditzy. Bonbon’s always worried about how you feel and if you’re upset. Bonnibel already asked if you wanted to go visit the cupcake store, but I’m sure she wouldn’t mind the company, right? “Y’know what? I-“
  47. “I… I-I… Nevermind…” She sighs, cutting you off, her face contorting slightly as she rubs her face into her paws. “T-This happens every frickin’ time!”
  48. “Bonbon…?”
  49. “D-don’t Bonbon me, Mi-Mike!” She mutters angrily, fighting back dry sobs as her paws franticly rub. “I mi-mi-misread it and messed up ag-ag-ag…!”
  50. “BonBon?”
  51. “Again! Ever single time I get the cha-chance I always find a way to…”
  52. “Bonbon!” You shout, resting a hand between her risen ears.
  53. “What?!”
  54. “I was going to say that I’d love to.”
  55. Bonbon immediately latches on to you, rubbing her sniffling face into your shirt. “Really…?” The neon, blue bunny mumbles.
  56. “Really, really. Just give me an hour or so? Need to go see Beanie. Besides, you probably want to grab a shower.” You smirk, giving the base of her ears a few light scratches as she leans against you.
  57. “Ye-aaa-hhh...” She hums as her face relaxes back to her usual bright smile, though the scratch seems to have emptied her brain, enough that she doesn’t seem to catch your suggestion at least.
  58.
  59. After Bonbon seemingly regains her sentience, enough to mention she needs to go change and shower, you finally manage to make it to 93-A. You give the door a quick knock and check the brown bag to make sure everything is still in working order.
  60. “Yeah, coming.” You faintly hear from the other side of the door, quickly followed by a muffled crash and a loud “FUCK!”
  61. “Language.” Fred grumbles. You try to shove your hand over your mouth to keep them from hearing you laugh, but that doesn’t work.
  62. The door soon unlocks, Beanie surprisingly dressed up for 10am, wearing a purple button-down and jeans. “Don’t make me shove that hand further down your throat, Mike.”
  63. “Try me.” You test, but quickly back down after she smirks and takes a step forward at you. You shake the brown bag of S&S accessories. “Peace offering?”
  64. “You better be glad I like that shit, Schmidt.” Beanie laughs, pulling you inside.
  65. You carefully lay out the figures and dice along the kitchen counter, helping yourself to a Chichi-made plate of cookies. Beanie sits next to you, discussing the group’s latest campaign. You’ve gotten surprisingly into it, and it’s nice to see Beanie able to enjoy being on the player side. She’s really enjoying her new job, though, at least from what she has told you about it. Something about turning a team of scrubs into a team of battle-hardened warriors? But you’re still not sure if she’s talking about you. She’s passionate, but at least she’s relaxed. It’s always comfortable to hang around with her. Talking to Bonbon earlier reminded you of your little competition from HumieCon, and while you hated losing, it was definitely worth it to throw that stupid mask in the garbage. Even more worth it now, considering who gave it to you.
  66. “Mike?”
  67. “Huh?” You murmur, shaking your head.
  68. “You kinda spaced out there, man.” She smirks, picking up a barely-dressed rogue figure that you were absent-mindedly looking at and holding it up next to her face. “What, were you trying to imagine me in your next alone time material?”
  69. “Pffft, as if.” You smirk back, picking up a somehow even MORE barely-dressed barbarian woman figure. “I’d probably go for something closer to this.”
  70. You two both laugh, taking potshots at each other before Beanie excuses herself for a moment, coming back with her wallet.
  71. “Aight, so, I’ve got some gift cards cashing in my worker points at the shop and we’re doing some Valentine’s sale today, right?” Beanie says, rummaging around in her wallet. “I guess they wanted to get geeks in to get gifts for their geeky boyfriends and geeky girlfriends. Either way, they made the mistake of making it so all purchases made with gift cards save ten percent.
  72. “Shit, that’s nice!” You give her a quick high five-- high paw? You both clumsily swing your appendages in the same direction.
  73. “Right?” She does a slow fist pump, probably the most enthusiasm you’ve ever seen from her. The lethargic bunny promptly goes against her adjective as she clears her throat and sits up straight “Well, you’re coming with me. So, go get dressed, because you have snot all over your shirt.”
  74. “I swear it’s not mine!”
  75. “Not my kink, Mike.” She jokes, faking a shudder as she pushes you out of your chair and towards the door. “I mean, I knew you were a bit of a perv but...”
  76. “I’m not into it either!”
  77. “Suuuuree. See you in twenty.”
  78. “Oh, wait, Beanie! Bon-“
  79. You’re quickly cut off by the door closing on you. Hopefully Beanie will be okay with Bonnibel and Bonbon coming along.
  80.
  81. Finally, you rearrive at 87-B and head back to your room. Freddy is still meticulously working at his easel, his fur disheveled and covered in paints and charcoal. You shrug and grab one of your nicest outfits, which is only slightly nicer than the rest of your clothes: a light blue polo, a black jacket, and a pair of clean jeans. I really should get some nicer clothes.
  82. You hear a slow knock on the door.
  83. Quickly opening it, you notice a tall, womanly figure standing above you. April is wearing a high-neck white sweaterdress. While tame by average standards, it shows much more of the yellow rabbit’s form than her usual attire. A two-sizes too big trench coat leaves much more to the imagination than her dress, even if all it shows are her gauze-wrapped legs, her gauze-covered face, and the form of her hips.
  84. “Hello Mike.” She asks in her usual soft tone as you signal her to come in. “Looking very… dapper today, aren’t you?”
  85. “I’d like to think.” You laugh, both of you taking a seat on the couch.
  86. April returns the laugh softly, pulling her dress down slightly when it rides up when she sits. “Have you been well?” Always the mother.
  87. “Outside of getting tackled by Bonbon,” you joke, “never better!”
  88. “Glad to hear.”
  89. You both sit quietly, enjoying the more adult company compared to most of the inhabitants of the building. The silence is only broken by small questions about how everyone is doing and how her and Fred’s new venture is looking to be. April’s maternal air is always so calming. Doesn’t help you have fond memories of waking in her lap and her being the only one to believe your then-insane, now-completely valid theories regarding a certain place you refuse to name. April has always been understanding and a breath of calm when you are surrounded by such vibrant people. The smell of rain and smoke about her makes you feel so… Home.
  90. “So, what brought you here, April?” You ask, cocking your head to the side.
  91. “Ah, yes…“ She sighs, softly. “Well, there is a book signing at the mall today… One of my favorite authors.”
  92. April brings her hands up to the bandages covering most of her lowerface, and slowly undoes them revealing the glossy, scarred skin underneath. She poses a small smile, a soft blush showing next to her lips.
  93. “Would you… Care to accompany me?” She asks, resting a hand on your leg.
  94. “Oh, wow…” You gulp. Another? You can’t get a date for months, and then four bunnies ask you out within hours? What’s next, Bonworth stomping in and asking if it’d be jake to go to the malt shop that is coincidentally at the mall? But how can you say no to her? April has always been here for you and she just bared her soul out… “…I would be honored.”
  95. Shit.
  96. April smiles about as wide as her burns can allow her, before she carefully wraps her lower face back up. “I’m glad to hear.”
  97. You hear a hard, but slowknock on the door who can only be one bunny, quickly followed by a fast-paced, rapid knock that you swear can only be another.
  98. “Oh, I’ll get that.” April gives you a smile, getting up.
  99. Before you can stop her, April’s paw is already wrapped around the knob, revealing Beanie and Bonbon, who is now wearing only her fanciest of sleeveless t-shirts and yoga pants.
  100. “Okay, Mike, what the fuck?” Beanie asks as she walks in, arms crossed, with Bonbon in tow.
  101. “Language.” April sighs, shooting you a hard glare. “Mike… What did you do?”
  102. Bonbon laughs as she plops herself in one of the beanbag chairs.
  103. "What he did," Beanie grimaces, restraining her urge to swear, "is accept a date from both me and Bonbon."
  104. Bonbon giggles, absent mindedly playing with her headband. "I mean, I don't mind sharing a little bit."
  105. "Not... Just you, apparently." April looks down at you, her brow furrowed. "Care to explain?"
  106. You clear your throat as you try to avoid looking April and Beanie in the eye. If you could actually stare daggers, these would be the equivalent of a fucking greatsword. “W…Well…” You murmur, but you’re quickly interrupted.
  107. “Are you ready to go, Mi—” Bonnibel’s quiet voice mutters as she enters the living room, wearing a pale-yellow sundress. “Beanie? April?Bonbon?”
  108. “Hello, Bonnibel.” April says as Bonnibel quickly comes to her side, resting a hand on Bonnibel’s head. You can feel April's glare get even sharper. "Mike has some explaining to do. Mike… You were saying?”
  109. “O-okay, so… Bonnibel asked me this morning…” You stammer. You really didn’t need Bonnibel’s puppy dog stare to make this even harder. "...if I would like to go to the bakery at the mall."
  110. Bonnibel shifts in place when you mention her, her ears twitching. April's arm is tight around her, though, to keep her comfortable, her hand rubbing her arm and shoulder lightly.
  111. "Then I literally ran into Bonbon—" You’re quickly cut off again.
  112. “Guilty as charged!” Bonbon giggles, rolling around in the beanbag, absentmindedly flipping through DVDs and games.
  113. “And she wanted to go to a fitness shop—” And again.
  114. “Guilty again!”
  115. “And I didn’t want to say no… I thought maybe Bonnibel would want the company…?” You sigh, turning your attention to Beanie, who is gripping her paws tightly into fists. “I tried to tell you, Beanie… But you shut the door before I could—
  116. “Oh, shut the fuck up, Mike.” Beanie grumbles, showing a deep scowl on her face before turning around.
  117. “Language.” April says sternly, grabbing onto Beanie’s arm and turning her back around. “And I, Mike…?”
  118. “You’ve always been so kind and understanding.” You sigh, managing to look up to the tall figure in front of you. “Getting to actually spend time with you when both of us aren’t at a breaking point just seemed so nice. The same with everyone else.”
  119. You lean your head down, but you can still feel Beanie seething. You sit in silence for what feels like hours until Bonnibel breaks the silence.
  120. “I wouldn’t mind sharing with everyone.” She murmurs through a small smile, resting a hand on your knee. “Maybe w-we could all… Go out..?”
  121. Bonbon hops up, the DVDs and games now in a disorganized mess, and stands in front of you, giving a heart laugh. “I already made my stance clear!”
  122. “At least this way, I can keep a better eye on you all.” April states, her brow unfurrowed and her caring, motherly look more returned. “I was more worried about how… The others would take it.”
  123. Beanie still shakes in anger, gripping the ends of her ears tightly. “You all are really okay with this?! He… He didn’t…! I just wanted…”
  124. You stand up and grab onto Beanie’s arm. Expecting her to pull away, you try to pull her closer to you, but she doesn’t even try to resist, instead falling into your arms. Beanie buries her face into your neck, sniffling softly.
  125. April is quick to grab onto you both, Bonnibel following her, and Bonbon trying her best to wrap around everyone.
  126. Beanie sniffs, mumbling quietly. “Maybe… It’ll be ok to share…” She sighs, looking around to everyone. “Can we… Still go to the card shop?”
  127. “You think we wouldn’t? Like we’re gonna miss out on that fucking sale!” You laugh, giving her a small smirk.
  128. April clears her throat loudly, giving you a small glare, while Bonbon lets out a stiff snort.
