  1. [19:00] Pip whispers: Gonna go invade Mires.
  2. [19:00] Lyulf Yayle whispers: You sure about that?
  3. [19:00] Lyulf Yayle whispers: Frankly, that sounds pretty stupid. At-least wait till we've got a few more soldiers who want to join us.
  4. [19:00] Pip whispers: Pip go anyways!
  5. [19:00] RUUNNN
  6. (Pip)
  7. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  8.
  9. [19:00] Catch?
  10. (Lyulf Yayle)
  11. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12.
  13. [19:00] Lyulf immediatly went to grab Pip but damn that cat was fast!
  14. (Lyulf Yayle)
  15. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  16.
  17. [19:00] Pip exclaims, "Off to raiiiddd!"
  18. [19:00] Lyulf Yayle says, "..."
  19. [19:00] Lyulf Yayle says, "She's dead."
  20. [19:00] {Item} You picked up Wood. Dropped by Reason..
  21. [19:00] An angel of death seemed rather powerful and in this instance in the telling rather despondent and even sad. Regulated to being a watch dog when all that they desired was to create a better world.
  22.
  23. "Seems like Azrael got the short end of the stick. . ." the male voice stated,
  24.
  25. "Yeah Kraus seems like a dumb dumb. . . " the female voice added; thankfully they were not around any Kraus' worshippers.
  26.
  27. "So if they have the ability to touch and heal any wound and bring the dead back to life. . . .maybe this place will be better. . ." they muttered.
  28.
  29. Torgon seemed to be preoccupied for a moment, and they were somewhat stunned when Pip and entourage entered the Mires. It seemed that they had come for Aegiz soul again?
  30. (Sabel Salvotore)
  31. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  32.
  33. [19:00] Blight's gaze idly watches, as they turn to fall into rank at Torgon's side. They remain silent, though that hollow gaze befell Pip in an uncaring fashion. It weren't uncommon for foolish brats to waltz into the Mire, and expect to be able to incur change that never comes.
  34.
  35. But what followed her? That were what drew the attention of Blight, who, in the wake of Torgon's words, the jaw of the titan unhinges hungrily, tongue almost lulling out of the figure's jaw as a black taw bubbles between countless rows of teeth.
  36.
  37. "...Achyonites. I didn't expect dinner to come to us, Torgon."
  38.
  39. The sound of Blight's jaw snapping shut were almost deafening, as metal collides with metal, head canting to the side. That hollow gaze stared at Lyulf in a different fashion; not in the way a man would look at another man;
  40.
  41. But how a cat, would look to a mouse.
  42. (Blight Reave)
  43. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  44.
  45. [19:00] Triumphus stands there, frozen at the sight of Pip. Her face struck a cord of recognition unlike any other he had ever seen. A rush of memories forced their way into his head as she said the name.
  46.
  47. "Aegizz...Who...Aegiz..." he said as his head split. The answer was there. But it would never come to him.
  48.
  49. Then he watched as Lyulf walked in behind Pip. A clear and SURE enemy. Whoever they were, they made Triumphis head hurt.
  50.
  51. So he would make them hurt.
  52.
  53. Instinct told him to go for the boy first, something inside of him screaming at him not to attack Pip. After this was over, he would need answers...
  54.
  55. Without hesitation, he sent a pulse of dark energy towards Lyulf, signaling that he would be his opponent.
  56. (Triumphus)
  57. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  58.
  59. [19:00] Attacks Lyulf!
  60. (Triumphus)
  61. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  62.
  63. [19:00] Just looks to Triumphus, that is almost an order for him to stand and stay clear.
  64. (Torgon)
  65. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  66.
  67. [19:00] Pip took a long look towards Blight, feeling a shiver down her spine. Just the thought of being vored was unpleasant to the CAT.
  68.
  69. Returning her attention back towards Torgan, Her hands shake with adrenaline and fear, stepping forward anyways and showing a stronger resolve. A bigger ego then her actual power level!
  70.
  71. "LIAR!, why would Aegiz agree? LIES LIES LIES!" Stomping on the ground childishly, confused and angry at the armored undead.
  72. (Pip)
  73.
  74. [19:00] He wanted to just not care about Pip's idiocy; but when not only a friend but a fellow countryman goes. 'I'ma raid the Mire!' and take's off sprinting at top speed? Well, he was left with either not caring and letting a spark of his Humanity fade or go after her. Unwisely he chose the latter option, more unwisely he forgot to ditch his uniform on the way.
  75.
  76. He came off the boat onto the pier without any foolish inclinations of talking things through. No, he knew what was coming when he got off. There might be many young fools that rush into the Mire. Lyulf wasn't one of them, at-least normally. One could call chasing after Pip into this place the heart of stupidity.
  77.
  78. He'd already drawn the plasma-caster as he entered the Mire. It hummed softly, a faint-purplish glow radiating off of it as he looked about the field of monsters. That Cerulean gaze didn't waver as they noted the various abominations present.
  79.
  80. His focus was taken by Blight's words and the snapping of jaws. It was a shark, not just any but this one was of the Deep Company. Their leader if his memory served. The youth's teeth clenched as he looked them over. This wouldn't be a fight he'd win easily.
  81.
  82. "Don't count me as one of your snacks yet freak."
  83.
  84. His focus shifted to Pip and he was already about to grab the girl by the scruff and pull her back. The sudden shift of Triumphus to his right caught his attention and that gun was already leveled his way. It was perhaps to his benefit as he only caught the nightmarish transformation of Torgon in the corner of his eye.
  85.
  86. In that moment he chose to keep his gaze set on the lesser of the nightmare's present. It was the smart call after all! He wasn't trained in resisting mental effects so the best he could do is simply avoid them. Still, things weren't going to go well and Pip had already shouted for Aegiz andmade their demands.
  87.
  88. "Pip, if I die I'm haunting you. You best fight really fucking hard."
  89.
  90. With that the boy's hands came to his chest and he pulled what looked like a smoke grenade. In a smooth motion he brought the item to his mouth and ripping out the pin. Tossing it to the ground on the pier. it was going to be a fight but he wasn't going to make it easy.
  91.
  92. From that quickly filling smoke a flurry of plasmic shots rang out in Triumphus direction. Someone else might get hit, they might leap to take the boy on. It wasn't his choice who he fought he just new a fight was coming.
  93.
  94. The sight of Pip trying to run?
  95.
  96. Well... It hit him hard.
  97. (Lyulf Yayle)
  98.
  99. [19:00] Pip were violently jerked back by the collar, and torn towards the crowd of mutants and abominations alike; likely central to them all. There were no running; not from a creature like Blight. Her actions were foolish, and despite that? She looked as if she had every intention of fleeing, leaving her comrade who showed some sense of decency.
  100.
  101. Blight could respect that. Those were the actions of a true man. If only they had been directed to better means.
  102.
  103. As shots rang past their head at Triumphus, a warning glare would be cast back after weaving the near miss shots.
  104.
  105. "Yer honorable. There ain' no place for that, where ye are right now. Ya see how tha one ya came ta save, were so eager ta leave ya behind?"
  106.
  107. A hand raises; a finger loosely held out at Lyulf. Their hand were giant, easily enough to fit a human head within their grasp and crush it. Their fingers and wrist were adorned with countless, ornate pieces of jewelry; a crude display of their cursed materialism.
  108.
  109. "You, despite ya shots at these people, 'm gonna permit ya ta leave. Jus' like she were going ta, ye will leave her behind, and ye will be safe."
  110.
  111. "Or ye will lose limbs, alongside her."
  112.
  113. "Choose wisely."
  114.
  115. That grip remained firm on Pip's collar. If she squirmed? If she fought back? It'd most certainly be met tenfold.
  116. (Blight Reave)
  117. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  118.
  119. [19:00] Pip did indeed squirm! Having very little honor or values compared to most. Attempting to bite at Blight's hand and kick him, even if it would not get his grip to withdraw. Being flung around like a rag doll likely as her limbs shake and wave like wet noodles.
  120.
  121. "Let pip goo aaaaaaahhhhh!!!" She had so much to live for! Maybe...probably.
  122. (Pip)
  123. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  124.
  125. [19:00] The gunslinger stood tall as they fired their shots. They'd kept a strong demeanor since walking into the Mire but several things collided into their psyche all at once. The first was watching Pip attempt to run and leave him behind. That was a fate he'd not considered when they got here and knowing Pip's speed he would have been left behind.
  126.
  127. The next was the jarring crash of psionic communication from Torgon, causing the boy to look upon the King of Dullahans. What he saw was something horrifying to behold in his eyes. There was nothing there but a pile of corpses animated by a fell evil. Twisted abominations that curled and breathed with a fell unlife. They were the dead and dying he'd witnessed during the Mire's raid to save Xian.
  128.
  129. The trauma of such a sight sent the youth to tumbling slightly. He wasn't prepared to face those nightmares of open warfare just yet. Not so quickly and not as they struggled with their other demons. As hard as it was and painful their gaze finally came to rest upon Blight. A monster, one of the traitor's that'd helped to kill his father.
  130.
  131. His words were the words of such a beast. Yet, there was that sick sense of honor that seemed to pervade monsters like him. Beyond all the greed and bloodlust there was a kernel of respect for what Aegiz had called the warriors spirit. The thought of the flame-shrouded soldier brought the whole scene to a crushing realization.
  132.
  133. Pip had came here for revenge against Aegiz. After he'd told them that it wasn't any of the Mire that slew the man. When faced with those fact she'd faltered and now he was left with a choice all his own. Did he choose to stand with his fellow Achyonite against known enemies.
  134.
  135. Or did he leave and save himself?
  136.
  137. He didn't choose quickly; it was clear the choice forced him to struggle. When it was made the Industrial magi didn't say anything. Instead the Justicar revolver in his hand lowered and then slowly was re-holstered into its place.
  138.
  139. He turned and walked away.
  140. (Lyulf Yayle)
  141. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  142.
  143. [19:00] Lyulf returned to Achyon, downcast over the fate of Pip but he was left with a bit of a problem. He knew that someone had ordered Pip not to leave the city but not who. With no idea where to start the teen walked to the only Captain he knew personally.
  144.
  145. With a sharp salute the private began. "Captain Nidaz, I've just returned from the Shadowmire and have a report. If you would like I can write it down for a later submission or relate the events here and now." This might reflect poorly on him but he knew it was best to honor the chain of command.
  146. (Lyulf Yayle)
  147. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  148.
  149. [19:00] Tilting his head a little to the side, the man would analyze whoever spoke to him in silence, before returning to his original pose and nodding firmly.
  150.
  151. "Do both, report now and transcribe the report after that. In order to keep it well organized, yes?
  152.
  153. Very well, go on." He would respond briefly, crossing his arms at the end of his speech.
  154.
  155. (Nidaz)
  156. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  157.
  158. [19:00] With a smooth shift the boy brought his hands behind his back. Standing at attention in a crisp military style. He'd probably practiced that bit of decorum for hours.
  159.
  160. "Private Pip informed me that she was under orders not to leave the city. Shortly after for some reason she informed me that she would be assailing the Mire. I tried to stop her but she was faster; so I followed in an attempt to prevent the suicide." Which to him was exactly what was going to happen.
  161.
  162. Still, it'd pained him to leave without accomplishing that simply task. "I arrived to late to prevent her from meeting with the frea- Er, the Mire affiliated host." He somehow felt just using slang was improper. "Despite my efforts aid her in fighting off the Mire-host and making a retreat..." He trailed off for a moment. "Point is she's likely dead by now. The Mire's numbers were swelled with an assortment of Dullahan's and Nethradin. Though, it would have to be Blight Reave that is most likely to kill here."
  163.
  164. He then stopped; that was about it for the report. He'd not stated how it was exactly that he'd left the Mire unscathed but aside from that all had been reported concisely.
  165. (Lyulf Yayle)
  166. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  167.
  168. [19:00] * You have been awarded 1 Roleplay Points! *
  169. [19:00] "..?"
  170.
  171. The Commander listens in. Why would a Private leave a city like that, let alone charge off into the Mire of all things in order to do that?
  172.
  173. "--Stupid."
  174.
  175. "Genuinely stupid." He sighs.
  176.
  177. "Not only she disobeyed the order, but she decided to head out into the heart of our enemy, of all things."
  178.
  179. How could they rescue her, if at all?
  180.
  181. "I'll..."
  182.
  183. "See what I can do, with some connections, but I doubt that I would be successful."
  184.
  185. "She signed her own death for no reason - unless they suddenly feel merciful."
  186.
  187. But they won't. The Shadowmire never does.
  188. (Marcel Delisle)
  189. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  190.
  191. [19:00] Listening carefully to the young man, he would remain in complete silence during the entire report. His almost empty silver-colored gaze was totally focused over the young Lyulf, where even in the face of these news he remained totally static, with no expression outside his usual calm expression.
  192.
  193. Truly.
  194.
  195. "Very well, thank you for bringing this information up, but know that we cannot jump to conclusions. A lot can happen in situations like this, so there is no guarantee that she may have died.
  196.
  197. Not yet, that is.. And maybe, as said by the Commander, he can try to do something for her, not a guarantee, but maybe." He would add in response, waving his right hand in the air, "For now, transcribe that information onto paper and then bring it to me to place it into a file.
  198.
  199. Besides that, good work.. Rest for now." With the conclusion of his speech, the old captain would nod again, before falling silent.
  200.
  201. Another foolish Private who made a foolish decision, which may have cost her life. It was not something new, much less it would be the last time it happened.. Regardless, it was a shame to lose another soldier.
  202.
  203. After all! They needed as many people as possible to fight for them in these difficult times..
  204.
  205. Truly, a pity.
  206. (Nidaz)
  207. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  208.
  209. [19:00] His duty was complete and both the Commander and Captain were informed. Though, it was clear by Lyulf's expression he doubted they could do much about the situation. After all it wasn't like they could just turn the entire war-machine against the Mire over a single Private.
  210.
  211. One small cog in the great machine was not worth the machine itself. It was all logically sound and yet... Well, he hated it. "Understood. I apologize for my fellow soldiers idiocy and I apologize for not being faster." With that the soldier took the dismissal and relaxed. Walking away from the duo and taking a seat on one of the benches nearby.
  212.
  213. What a mess.
  214. (Lyulf Yayle)
