- Evike recites:
- "Welcome to the long awaited Zombies Class. Scripter Busting for your
- Fun and Frustration."
- Evike says, "The purpose of this class is to provide explanation and
- clarification of all policies and procedures for dealing with players who
- are non responsive AND gaining experience within the game."
- Chakram asks, "No profit?"
- Evike says, "No."
- Chakram exclaims, "I was lied to!"
- Evike says, "Sucks dude."
- Chakram nods to Evike.
- Evike says, "Definition of a "Scripter":."
- Evike says, "Any player using any method to gain skills, money or *ANY*
- other form of in game advantage while non responsive to the gaming
- environment."
- Evike says, "But let's clarify that, because using a script in and of
- itself its not a violation of policy. Idle scripts, AS LONG AS THEY ARE
- NOT GAINING EXPERIENCE are fine. Travel scripts, with that same caveat,
- are fine. Scripts, to do menial tasks are fine as long as they are
- responsive."
- Evike says, "Additionally, people using scripts that cause excessive screen
- scroll, messages that are inappropriate, or who are using bots that are
- unresponsive are subject to receiving warnings. This includes responsive
- characters that use these unresponsive bots. (This is listed under NEWS 5
- 17)."
- Evike says, "Other examples are Traders sitting by their open tables in the
- market or plaza, and also people crafting while not really there. It's not
- just limited to hunting."
- Evike asks, "Any questions so far on what does and does not constitute a
- scripting violation?"
- You shake your head.
- Lawlite shakes his head.
- Nohn shakes his head.
- Chakram shakes his head.
- Chakram shakes Koyta's head for her.
- Evike says, "Alright. You guys are mostly here for fun and giggles anyway."
- Evike pokes Chakram in the ribs.
- Evike says, "First, how do you find a scripter? We find them via several
- means: Scripters may be REPORTed by other players, they may be encountered
- by hosts/GM's doing assists/referrals, and you sometimes even find them
- when doing /rp scans. You'll also see other ways to identify them. Some
- of them are pretty silly about triggers, or announcing it to friends on the
- gweth or in whispers. Now, we're going to focus on a tool called /scripter
- scan. Right now type just /SCRIPTER by itself to see the syntax."
- Chakram says, "I need a refresher."

- Evike says, "When you've done that tell me."
- You say, "Done."
- Chakram nods.
- Koyta nods.
- Lawlite says, "Done."
- Nohn says, "Done."
- Evike fixes Nohn with a frank, even stare.
- Evike says, "Ok. It's pretty self explanatory."
- Chakram says, "Also: They said this was zombies, I thought this was about
- the Walking Dead."
- Evike says, "You won't use most of the stuff there anyway."
- Chakram grins.
- Evike says, "Go ahead and type /SCRIPTER SCAN so you can see what that
- looks like. It'll be a bit scrolly now with all these F2P people, but take
- a minute to look it over because we'll be talking about some of that
- information later."

- Evike says, "Next, you want to read the CCC. Read the 5s and 20s for the
- ENTIRE ACCOUNT to see previous warnings. Make sure you have it the
- dropdown for ALL IFE GAMES checked for this."
- Evike says, "To reiterate 5s and 20s on ALL other characters, on the FULL
- account to spot any other violations go back at least one year (365 days)
- minimum. Scripting violations are PER ACCOUNT, not per player. They are
- also *PER ACCOUNT HOLDER* so if your guy has three accounts that we know of
- and gets a warning on two of those accounts they will be treated
- accordingly (more on this in a bit)."
- Evike says, "Real talk. I read all of the 5 and 20s, just to get a feel."
- Evike says, "I do three basic sweeps."
- Evike says, "One to look at ALL the warnings. One to look for hard links
- (we'll talk about those) and one to double check for warnings within the
- last 365."
- Evike says, "Now you have the information you need in order to test this
- person for scripting. But, we like to watch them for at least five
- minutes, and you /IDLEd them right? I have two monitors so I can still
- watch while I research, but if you don't, its still good to go back and
- scroll up to see if they've talked or looked responsive during your
- research time. It can feel like a lot of work, but a scripting violation
- is serious stuff."
- Evike says, "You don't want to miss something pertinent and possibly put a
- 3 time scripter into 33 (Scripting Violation Limbo) just because his
- offenses were on other characters. At the same time, you don't want to set
- someone up for huge percentage loss when their last violation was in 2002.
- Be very careful when reading the CCC for account name changes as well, this
- indicates a character transfer, and still pulls up accordingly (because you
- should have OLD LOGS ASSOCIATED ticked). It doesn t always mean it's a new
- owner though."
- Evike says, "Real talk -- this can be very confusing and annoying."
- Evike says, "But, it's a chain, and we need to follow it."
- Evike asks, "Questions about any of that?"
- Chakram shakes his head.
- Lawlite shakes his head.
- You shake your head.
- Nohn shakes his head.
- Evike says, "Remember, scripting violations are a world in and of
- themselves, and the warnings are weighted separately from other types of
- warnings. We MAY weigh the rest of his record, but for the most part, it's
- a very straightforward set up."
- Evike says, "Now, we're back to looking at the scripter and you're getting
- ready to start testing the player. Lots of people have triggers that logs
- the player off the minute a 'SEND' comes across his screen, or the minute
- he's moved to another room. Some of them go into sleep mode the moment
- they get a 'SEND'."
- Evike says, "Some other common words and phrases that players trap for
- include: POLICY, AFK, A F K, 'LONG TERM', SCRIPTING, SCRIPT, $CRIPT,
- WARNING, TROUBLE, RESPOND, RESPONSE, CHANCE, 'OUT LOUD', ALOUD,
- ANNOUNCEMENT, SYSTEM, WHISPERS, SAYS, TODAY, PLEASE, 'YOU MUST', GM,
- REPORT, HOST, MASTER, MINUTE, and MINUTES. In addition to a whole slew of
- others now, with Genie's extensive and ever growing whitelist."
- Evike says, "Seriously, that thing gets bigger all the time."
- Evike says, "This is why it's important to try and be creative in your
- testing scripts. You may want to borrow a script from someone who has
- already had one approved, and then tweak it a bit to make it your own. For
- example, Persida has one that utilizes a bunny asking for a players to
- dance happy. Obviously if we have 12 GMs using the same script, even the
- most the unskilled scripters are going to learn to trap for the bunny."
- Persida does a happy little dance!
- Lawlite gets a Persida brain from inside his tiny pouch.
- Lawlite pokes his Persida brain.
- Persida sneezes!
- Evike says, "SHE TRAPPED FOR THAT."
- Lawlite puts his brain in his tiny pouch.
- Nohn chuckles.
- Evike says, "Take that idea as a model, and let's say one of you creates a
- mouse who wants cheese, one creates a snake looking for an egg, one has a
- sentient turban who needs a head to rest on... it gets slightly harder to
- trap for. When you create a unique testing script, please be sure that
- someone cleared for QC approves it before you use it."
- You raise your hand.
- Evike asks, "Sup?"
- Lawlite grins at Evike.
- You ask, "If someone is hunting say... lava drakes, can we make an
- unkillable lava drake, and speak through it?"
- Evike says, "Sort of. That gets into NPC tests, which I'll talk about.
- BUT -- here's the thing. I would avoid using the same creature that
- someone is hunting. Caveat -- without SGM approval because Genie."
- You nod.
- Evike says, "We can always get approval for more creative script checks but
- you should absolutely positively get SGM approval for those."
- Evike says, "Steph is a good person to talk to about creative ones, she has
- written a couple of them. They kind of scare me."
- Evike says, "I shouldn't say creative. I should say... genie foiling ones."
- Evike says, "They aren't going to be perfect at that, but they have been
- pretty good at it so far."
- Evike says, "But, that's going to be something you shouldn't look to tackle
- right away anyway."
- Evike asks, "Answer that for you?"
- Evike grins.
- You nod to Evike.
- Evike says, "Also, some scripters trap for special characters, like
- asterisks. The list of possibilities is nearly endless, so you probably
- want to avoid things like that in your check."
- Evike exclaims, "Remember, though, that testing gets easier with time.
- After doing a few, you'll start to recognize the signs, you'll start to
- understand how scripters work and think, and much of this will become
- second nature to you. Really!"
- Evike asks, "Okay, questions so far?"
- Koyta shakes her head.
- Chakram shakes his head.
- You raise your hand.
- Lawlite shakes his head.
- Nohn shakes his head.
- Evike asks, "Yes dear?"
- You say, "Protip, there are people out there counting more than 1 or 2
- consecutive capital letters."
- Evike says, "See? There you go."
- Nohn nods to you.
- Evike says, "Things we learn."
- You say, "All i got."
- You smile.
- Evike says, "Personally, I tend to avoid capitalization in my script checks
- not because I am mean, but because it should be easy to see. We'll see an
- example of that later."
- Evike says, "Now you're ready to actually test the player. First thing you
- need to do is type /EXP (name) LOG. This will record in the player's logs
- a capture of the player's EXP. It also provides a handy time stamp in the
- CCC. Because of this, you want to make it a point to hit that /exp (name)
- log at least a couple times during your testing (i.e. when you start and at
- a midpoint during the testing). I personally do my first /EXP NAME LOG
- before I start researching to have a reference point."
- Evike says, "I also recommend hitting /time IG right before you start
- testing to make note of the IG time for your log. This makes the
- information in your log later fall more in line with the time stamps
- provided by /exp log and makes it easier for our onsite guys to look at the
- information in the event of disputes. All of my logs include this
- automatically."
- Evike says, "Real talk -- I made a blank template with all the appropriate
- pauses and ECHO with the MINUTES listed out, to include the /TIME and the
- /EXP LOG at the beginning and again at the three minute mark, when I speed
- up the checks. And again at the end. You may consider doing the same."
- Evike says, "As far as your type of check, have several options. You can
- test with /ghosts or /rsays, send in."
- Evike says, "YES SCRIPT ERROR."
- You raise your hand.
- You say, "I'm sorry."
- Evike says, "Go ahead, I need to find where it screwed up and fix it

- You nod to Evike.

- Evike says, "BY HAND NOW."
- Evike says, "As far as your type of check, have several options. You can

- Evike says, "Oh this sucks hold on."
- You chuckle.
- Your death cries echo
- Evike says, "No."
- Evike says, "It's mostly a matter of preference yours. Do you want to

- usually best to just /ghost them to avoid disturbing others."
- Evike says, "Real talk -- I kind of prefer the quasi sort of IC method."

- mini event. Best of all, it makes a job that's often boring and tedious
- fun for you! DO remember that NPC script checks CANNOT be done until
- you've completed EVENTS class."
- Evike asks, "Idea... got a magic user focusing on a runestone? Move his
- runestone into his backpack does he notice? Have an NPC run in and grab
- their backpack off their back using /moves does he know he's just been
- mugged? Knock him out of hiding any reaction?"
- Evike says, "You want to use EXTREME CAUTION when doing something like
- moving a player to another room or otherwise altering a state of
- existence. If someone's actions are scrolling the heck out of the place,
- go on and /pmove them, but otherwise, use any OTHER method first."
- Evike asks, "Have you learned /MOVE?"
- Lawlite nods.
- You nod.
- Nohn nods.
- Chakram nods.
- Evike says, "So, my personal preference is not to mess with this one too
- too much."
- Evike says, "Just because it can end up being a pain in the ass."
- Evike says, "YMMV."
- Evike says, "How long do we test scripters? To be fair to the player who
- might have had a legitimate emergency happen and really did just run away
- from the keyboard without a second thought about his script, we test for a
- minimum of 5 minutes. That's actual testing time -- it does not include
- time spent observing the actions, researching the account, and getting
- prepared to test them."
- Evike says, "If we're honest, with research, it can end up being anywhere
- from 11-20 minutes."
- Evike says, "Longer if you get distracted."
- Evike says, "Depending on the type of testing you are doing, research
- involved, etc., you may experience times when the actual testing goes
- beyond 5 minutes... that's ok too. But the actual testing should be no
- less than 5 minutes."
- Evike says, "Please remember, your goal is to get a response from the
- player! Failing that, you want to put him into limbo or in the cell,
- whichever applies."
- Evike recites:
- "Steps for PRIME for a FIRST offense on the account (or first offense
- after more than a year):
- /PMOVE the player to 33
- /WARN {player} SC
- /EXP (name) ZOMBIE (clears field experience, administers a negative
- /RP, and tags the player as a scripter)
- /SLEEP the player to stop experience gain
- /ESEND to the player for scrollback
- /MLOG to BOTH the account and the character."
- Evike says, "Your log should include how long you tested, how you tested
- (what you asked the player to do), that you used the steps listed above,
- and any other pertinent information. As an example of extra information
- you may choose to include. I tend to keep my /spy on the player until I've
- gotten the log done and submitted, so sometimes my last line of my log
- will state, "I am submitting this log and the player is still asleep in the
- room." I also try to remove the /IDLE when I am done, so not to leave
- random idles on players."
- Evike recites:
- "SECOND offense (or third +, but only one other was within the last
- year or so):
- /PMOVE the player to 25 (The Holding Room)
- /WARN SC
- /EXP (name) ZOMBIE
- /SLEEP the player to stop experience gain
- /ESEND to the player for scrollback
- /RELEASE player 96 (which ensures that they will not be back in the
- game for 96 hours)
- E mail Nora/Lyneya, Solomon/Eric, Jay/Zadraes and Lockout to have
- them strip field experience and 10 percent of all skills, plus one point
- off each stat (+TDPs)
- /MLOG to BOTH the account and the character."
- Evike says, "The second to last step is extremely important. Be sure to be
- thorough in your e mail to these folks, explaining the situation,
- illustrating the last offense (within 365 days). Include the details you
- would also be including in your /mlog. If you see any of these people
- online at the time the bust is made, please try contacting them for
- immediate application of these penalties. This will also apply to the
- third and subsequent offenses, which we'll talk about next. When I have a
- second offense or above, I put the date of the last offense in my log, in
- case its needed for ease of research."
- Evike recites:
- "THIRD offense:
- /PMOVE the player to 25 (The Holding Room)
- /WARN SC
- /EXP (name) ZOMBIE
- /SLEEP the player to stop experience gain
- /ESEND to the player for scrollback
- /RELEASE player 96

- strip field experience and 25 percent of all skills, plus two additional
- points off each stat(+TDPs)
- /MLOG to BOTH the account and the character."
- Evike says, "POST THIRD offense: Further violations within a one year
- period will result in an additional 15 percent loss per violation, up to
- and including a 100 percent loss of all skills and another 7 points of
- reduction for each stat. Players risk application of these penalties to
- all characters on the account, characters on linked accounts, or even full
- character forfeiture."
- Evike says, "Considering the consequences, please understand the importance
- of making sure the e mail you send to the SGMs et al. is completely
- thorough."
- Evike recites:
- "The order of these steps changes in PLATINUM
- On first offense, follow the procedure
- For a SECOND offense in Prime.
- For a second offense, follow the procedure
- For a THIRD offense in Prime."
- Evike says, "Yes, what you just heard was that in the PLATINUM instance of
- the game, a first offense is equal to a *second* offense here in Prime.
- And a SECOND offense in PLATINUM is the equivalent of a *third* offense
- here in Prime, and so on."
- Evike asks, "Questions about any of that?"
- Nohn shakes his head.
- Koyta shakes her head.
- You shake your head.
- Chakram shakes his head.
- Lawlite shakes his head.
- Evike says, "Now, some special notes and circumstances..."
- Evike says, "1. AFK Scripting in a home will result in all experience gain
- being turned off in the home in question. This penalty is assessed
- regardless of the level of the offense and it is done without notification
- to the homeowner. This is also mentioned at length in HOME HELP 13. If
- you catch someone scripting in a private home, in addition to the

- regardless of the level of the offense and it is done without notification
- to the homeowner. This is also mentioned at length in HOME HELP 13. If

- Evike recites:
- "(a) leave a note in the logs
- (b) send an email to the CE SGMs (Nora, Jay), regarding who the
- offender(s) was/were and in which home the offense took place. If any of
- them are online when you complete the bust, they may be able to take care
- of it immediately. If that happens, you can just add a note to your /mlog
- information indicating that the experience removal was already handled, and
- by whom."
- Evike says, "With player owned boats and private properties, this rule also
- applies to these locations. If you find someone scripting on a private
- boat, (a) leave a note in the logs, and (b) send email to the CE SGMs, and
- Eric/Bubba regarding the situation so that they can address removing the
- experience gain if necessary."
- Evike says, "2. If a player is bleeding or bandaged, you won't be able to
- put them to sleep. Use /heal (player) to see the wounds, type /heal
- (player) (number of points to heal) on each bleeding body part, and wait
- for the bandages to go away."
- Evike says, "A bleeding wound is any wound with 20 points of damage or
- more, so subtract. If the chest has 25 points of damage, you can take away
- the bleeder by healing for 6 points of damage. Be sure to include in your
- LOG that you did this."
- Evike says, "3. If the player's script was allowing money gain, take away
- the money, too! This is an oft forgotten step. Use /coin for coins on the
- player, and /bank if they were smart enough to deposit in the course of
- the script, and you can figure out how much to take. Be sure to include in
- your LOG that you did this, too, though logs now include what you took if
- you use COIN."
- Evike says, "-- Definitely use /COIN. Depositing can be harder to track,
- but if they are hunting? Take that money."
- Evike says, "4. Traders caught scripting in a gem shop or at the market are
- subject to /badtrader. Send /mail to the Trader Advocate (Kenny/Arnimas)
- if you use this. LOG that you used it."
- Evike says, "5. If the player wakes up before you start the bust, they CAN
- get lucky and get a pass. However, you should probably still CAUTION them
- and let them know they were walking dangerous ground. If they wake up as
- you are initiating the commands for the bust, STILL WARN THEM. Yes, you
- read that right, DO WARN and follow all the other steps. If they earned
- the warning, they earned the warning."
- Evike recites:
- "Troubleshooting!"
- Evike recites:
- "Zoinks!
- /EXP ZOMBIE isn't working!
- Now what?!
- Not to worry.
- You can manually do what it does."
- Evike says, "First, do an /exp (player) log on them to get a capture of
- their exp tracker. Now, clear their field experience with /exp (name) all
- 0 field. Next, /scripter tag and /rp 2 them. Finally, /mlog to both the
- account and the character the entire episode."
- Evike says, "(This will probably never happen)."
- Evike recites:
- "Help! Other players are dragging my scripter off!"
- Evike says, "(This will probably happen)."
- Evike says, "Probably one of the most frustrating things to deal with is
- the intervention of other players. Often, it s the player who reported the
- scripter."
- Evike says, "Sometimes they simply drag the person off to get them out of
- the way. This can ruin the exp gain if the person was gaining passive
- perception parked outside the the Empath Guild, or gaining combat skills
- in a hunting area, etc."
- Evike says, "Sometimes they drag a scripter into a combat area, hoping
- he'll get killed. Sometimes they'll even drag him off with intentions of
- killing him themselves."
- Evike says, "Usually, an /esend or a /ghost message to the player(s) is all
- it takes to get the scripter put back where you need him. Most players
- will comply immediately. Some will grouse a bit and beg you to let them
- handle it."
- Evike says, "There are a few, though, who will ignore you and take matters
- into their own hands despite what you're saying. Those folks,
- unfortunately, need to be told, 'If you don't put him back, I will warn
- you for disruption' (or 'PvP' as the case may be). Quote NEWS 5 33. IF
- they persist, you've got to at least caution, if not outright warn them."
- Evike recites:
- "First bust or second?"
- Evike exclaims, "You've just caught 'Joe' on the account 'JoeSmith1'
- scripting. His partner in crime is 'Jim' who is, strangely enough on
- account 'JoeSmith2'. Neither account has any priors. Do you toss them
- both into 33? Does one of them go to The Holding Cell and one of them into
- 33? How do you handle this?!"
- Evike says, "Unless the account link is documented, put BOTH players into
- 33. Then send an email to Lockout ([email protected]) with a CC to
- the CE SGMs and Bubba, asking them to check for linked accounts. They'll
- check into it and send you a response. If the account is confirmed linked
- ("hardlinked"), they will log this information to that account, or
- indicate if you should do so."
- Evike says, "If, through their checking, they uncover information that may
- result in a lockout situation, they will let you know in their response and
- then it will be up to you to actually put the official lockout request
- in. However, we do not typically "upgrade" a scripting punishment for a
- first time confirmed hardlink; this is typically just noted for future
- busts. Consider it a freebie. The CCC will be noted with HARDLINKED (HL)
- on those two accounts from this point."
- Evike says, "In the above scenario, if the account link IS ALREADY
- documented, this is two warnings for the same player. Treat it as such,
- with a trip to 25 and the rest of the punishments as warranted."
- Evike recites:
- "Second Bust or Third?"
- Evike asks, "You've just caught Jimbobbilly, on the account 'countryboy'
- and his partner in crime is Susieq on the account 'jimbobbilly'. Susieq
- has a prior warning for scripting. Is this a second offense for both?
- Second for one and third for the other?"
- Evike exclaims, "First, Susieq is definitely getting the Second Offense
- punishment, no questions asked. Jimbobbilly is taking a vacation too.
- Best choice in this case is to put them both into 25 and be sure to
- explain the situation in your e mail... remember, be thorough!"
- Evike says, "Feedback will do the necessary account research to verify that
- these accounts are linked and the appropriate penalty will then be assessed
- if necessary."
- Evike says, "It's important to note that there may be times when an SGM or
- Lockout may authorize a bust, or escalate a punishment without you having
- gone through some or all of the steps mentioned above. If you are advised
- by an SGM, or Eric(Bubba) to alter any of the steps listed, it's definitely
- ok to do so. Just make sure you include that information, including who
- instructed you, when posting your log."
- Evike says, "So that's how it's done folks, and now that you've been given
- this class, you'll be able to sit with a supervisor and practice your Super
- Zombie Bust skills. One last note, however: please be sure to review your
- logs and notes from the Problem Children class. Some of the commands here,
- such as /warn and /lockout, are taught in that class, so please refresh
- yourselves on these commands."
- Evike says, "SO."
- Evike says, "That's the class script."
- Chakram exclaims, "Yay!"
- Chakram says, "You all can wake up again."
- Lawlite stretches his arms.
- Nohn says, "Woohoo."
- Evike says, "Let me go over an example of a script check."

- Lawlite says to Evike, "You're a monster."
- [734(-1) [Evanora just sent Lawlite the message: The otter ceases his
- crying momentarily to catch his breath, still looking at you with reddened
- eyes.]]
- Lawlite grins.
- You chuckle.
- Evike says, "So, thats two minutes."
- Nohn chuckles.
- Chakram says, "Poor otter."
- You say, "If you're atk, there's no way you're missing that."
- Evike says, "At three minutes, I generally cut and paste the ghost message
- and add it manually in."
- Evike says, "Depending."
- Evike says, "Most of mine also speed up the messaging in the script itself
- at three minutes."
- Evike says, "But, at three minutes thats when it starts to become critical."
- Evike says, "Thats when it definitely turns into caution territory."
- Evike says, "Also something to keep in mind, have a "reward" ghost ready
- for when they answer."
- Evike says, "People are IMPATIENT."
- Evike says, "When they say "No I don't want to hear your story" they want
- an answer immediately, and get snotty if you take too long to type it out."
- Evike says, "Also some things."
- Evike says, "I use a specific character for script checks."
- Evike says, "At first, it was because I thought it would be nice not to
- have Evike associated with script checks. Then I realized, it was
- extremely awesome to have a completely separate system for logs set up that
- way. You can't do this right away, however, and some of you may not care
- to. But if you're OCD like me you might want to."
- Evike says, "So, whenever I do a check or a bust, I can immediately rename
- that log to NAMEDATECHECK(orBUST)."
- Evike says, "That's all going to be personal preference."
- Evike says, "What I do strongly recommend is that if you ask them to do an
- action is that you highlight what that action IS."
- Evike says, "For example, in one of mine, I ask them for the YEAR. I have
- :TIME highlighted so I can see if they are actually checking the TIME."
- Evike asks, "Let's look at the CCC real quick?"
- Nohn nods.
- You nod.
- Lawlite asks, "Sure, who what where when?"
- Evike says, "Looking for a good one."
- Evike says, "Ok, let's look at W_AUSTINLATEATNIGHT."
- Evike says, "You don't have to look at everything, we just want to look at
- the recent bust."
- Evike says, "On 3/4/15."
- Evike says, "So, this one ended up being a home exp removal."
- Lawlite nods.
- Nohn nods.
- Evike says, "And was a check because of something they said on the gweth
- that raised my suspicions."
- Evike says, "People aren't bright sometimes."
- Lawlite says, "I love the answer machine crystal ring response."
- Lawlite nods.
- Nohn chuckles.
- Evike says, "Sometimes you see them and people are just draining."
- Evike says, "Sometimes... not."
- Lawlite nods to Evike.
- Evike says, "The sad thing was, if you look at he EXP CHECK on the CCC she
- wasn't logged in that long."
- Nohn nods.
- Lawlite says, "Oh yeah."
- Lawlite says, "Sheesh."
- You say, "6 minutes."
- You chuckle.
- Evike says, "But, people will do that."
- Evike says, "So, we also have a hard link example."
- Evike says, "[Player Tag] Zadraes applied tag ~hard_linked~ to
- W_austinlateatnight for the following reason: Accounts W_TIMNEWLUN and
- W_AUSTINLATEATNIGHT are confirmed hardlinked via billing as of 3/5/2015 per
- an incident on 3/4/2015."
- Evike says, "That's what you want to look for for a hard link."
- Evike says, "There are also soft links. Which mean like, I maybe logged
- into your account a few times."
- Evike says, "I think that covers about everything extra I need to."
- Evike says, "Homework! Your Homework is to write a scriptcheck script.
- I'll send you a template after the meeting that you can use as a base (or
- can you, dun dun dun), but you will need your very own check. All script
- check scripts need to be QC'd, so when you have it finished, send it to me
- and I'll go over it. Once you have that cleared, you will be free to begin
- zombie checking with a supervisor."
- Lawlite smiles.
- You just feel so pleased with yourself, you can't help letting out a hearty
- cheer.
- Lawlite says, "FUn."
- Nohn smiles.
- Evike asks, "Final questions?"
- Lawlite says, "I did have one."
- Evike says, "And I'm serious don't trust me with the base script. I am
- devious."
- Evike asks, "Sup?"
- Lawlite asks, "You mentioned for 2nd or 3rd+ offense we would set a
- /RELEASE 96, but we were also told that AGMs could not do more than 72
- without approval. Is this an exception to that rule?"
- Evike says, "It's an automatic set when they go into that room."
- Evike says, "So, its technically an exception, because we have to give
- Feedback time to get to them."
- Lawlite nods.
- Lawlite exclaims, "Okay, thanks!"
- Nohn says, "Good to know."
- Evike says, "That room is just set up that way."
- Chakram says, "I think we used to have to test a minimum of 7 minutes."
- Nohn asks Lawlite, "What were you using to find which classes people were
- in so quick? Were you cross-referencing /effect with /exp, or is there a
- command you were using, and if so, have we been taught it yet?"
- Lawlite says, "I was cross-referencing, yeah."
- Lawlite nods to Nohn.
- Nohn nods.
- Nohn says, "Cool."
- Evike says, "Yeah the time has gone down. Some people still do 7."
- Evike says, "But frankly, I only do five. Its PLENTY if you ask me."
- Chakram nods to Evike.
- Evike says, "When I do messaging, I give them around 5 seconds between
- messaging generally for the first two minutes and then around 2 seconds for
- the remaining 3 minutes."
- Chakram nods.
- Chakram asks, "Any minimum that we need to do as far as how often or is it
- just make sure they're able to see it?"
- Evike says, "No minimum, just be sure they are able to see it. I feel like
- 5 and 2 are pretty generous and standard."
- Chakram nods to Evike.
- Evike says, "And, like I said you can ALWAYS manually add additional
- messaging if its scrolly."
- Evike says, "Heck, I even have versions of scripts for specifically scrolly
- areas to "be safe"."
- Lawlite says, "Crystal was spamming that guys face off because he was
- hunting."
- Evike nods.
- Evike says, "Yup."
- Lawlite says, "Like srs NO MORE FACE."
- Evike says, "That's part of the reason I like having the alt to handle the
- checks. I can literally document the log and go look."
- Evike says, "Because people do complain."
- Evike exclaims, "Not as much anymore!"
- Evike says, "But it really is impossible to miss anything after minute
- three, I think."
- Evike says, "I'll give you a pass before that, though (not really). BUt ok."
- Evike asks, "So, no more questions?"
- Evike asks, "All good?"
- Lawlite exclaims, "Yay sleep now!"
- Lawlite says, "Thanks Jes."
- Evike says, "Flee run away."
- Nohn says, "All good."
- Evike says, "NP :) Have a good one guys."
- Evike says, "Thanks for dealing with my stupid schedule."
- Lawlite says, "G'night folks. Catch you later."
- Lawlite suddenly fades away.
- Koyta waves.
- Koyta just wandered away in search of rat food.
- Chakram exclaims, "Later!"
- Chakram waves.
- Chakram says, "And thanks."
- Evike grins.
- Chakram says, "I really did need this class."
- Evike grins.
- Evike says, "Anytime."
- Chakram says, "It's changed since the last time I've done this."
- Chakram says in his best crotchety old guy voice, "Back in my day...."
- Evike says, "We don't really actively seek scripters out much anymore."
- Chakram nods.
- Evike says, "Now, I mean you guys will while you learn."
- Evike says, "But really unless someone is being obvious or disruptive, or
- is reported the population is just so SMALL."
- Chakram nods.
- Evike says, "Or I guess unless you're really bored."
- Evike says, "Sometimes I get bored."
- Chakram says, "BOARD."
- Evike says, "But usually I invade."
- Chakram grins.
- Evike says, "Though can't do that now."
- Chakram says, "That's a good way to clear out scripters."
- Chakram says, "Kill them all."
- Evike nods.
- Nohn says, "I'd much rather look for people to RPA than people to script
- check. But when all else fails.."
- Chakram says, "One big fell swoop."
- Evike says, "Really, my hatred is when they have bad scripts."
- Nohn nods.
- Nohn says, "Like that guy earlier."
- Evike says, "If you're going to do it, do more than the same thing over and
- over again, not even checking if you are dead or something."
- Chakram nods to Nohn.
- Chakram says, "That was what's his face earlier."
- Chakram grins.
- Nohn nods.
- Chakram says, "Attack attack skin experience focus."
