(6/24/2018 2:39:16 AM) Feldi: Linny watches as the others end up walking further and further away, shaking her head, and turning back to Carol as the two of them land on the last platform before more solid ground. "Any ideas why they would split us all up if we're all trying to get to a place that can be reached no matter which direction we all go?"
(2:42:26 AM) Ikiryo: "I think they're just trying to slow us down." She shakes her head as she leaps to another fragment of street. "We've got a time limit before we lose, so any delay is a win."
(2:44:27 AM) Feldi: Linny shrugs her satisfaction with that answer and bounds after Carol. "Which Department are we headed towards?"
(2:45:30 AM) Ikiryo: "I'm not sure...I was going to jump off at whichever one ends up closest. Sorry, I'm a doctor...this sort of martial arts isn't my thing to work out easily." She ducks as a building goes flying over her, nearly taking her head off. "Dammit."
(2:47:37 AM) Feldi: Linny grins as the building sails far above her own head. "Being compact has its advantages sometimes~"
(2:48:26 AM) Ikiryo: "Oh shut up." She gives a hint of a smile though. "I'll be sure to taunt you back when we need to get something off the top shelf to save everyone."
(2:50:03 AM) Feldi: "Mmhmm~ Sure~" Linny chuckles as she follows Carol in a hop down to the next fragment in their path.
(2:51:12 AM) Ikiryo: A red building seems to be slowly getting closer, more a massive fortress complex than the apartment buildings of most of them...
(2:51:55 AM) Feldi: Linny tilts her head at the red building. "I'm guessing that's War? Or Battles, right?"
(2:54:21 AM) Ikiryo: "Battles, yeah. That's...gunna be a hard one to crack." She nods "They start wars or end them or make sure they go the right way."
(2:56:24 AM) Feldi: "That explains what that redhead was doing there then...if the universe has a sense of irony, which it does, I know who we're going to be fighting."
(2:57:17 AM) Ikiryo: "...yeah?"
(2:57:50 AM) Feldi: "Some Battles' Sidereal whose temple I destroyed about...wow, has it already been almost a year?"
(2:57:58 AM) Feldi: "Time really does fly when you're having fun."
(2:58:57 AM) Ikiryo: "Yeah? What did she look like?" She pauses. "Wait...year ago...temple destroyed. Like Eloise but with red hair?"
(3:02:11 AM) Feldi: Linny nods. "You know her?"
(3:03:21 AM) Ikiryo: "There is barely a couple of hundred Sidereals. We basicly all know each other. That's Rose, Eloise's sister."
(3:03:50 AM) Ikiryo: As they approach the buidling...Linny's prediction seems right. A red haired sidereal is sitting cross legged in front of the buidling.
(3:03:55 AM) Feldi: "There's only a few hundred Sidereals and two of them are siblings?"
(3:04:37 AM) Ikiryo: "Fate has a sense of humour."
(3:06:04 AM) Feldi: "Does Eloise like her sister?" Linny asks as they walk up.
(3:07:26 AM) Ikiryo: "I don't know, to be honest. I think most Sidereals are just resigned to being stuck with each other."
(3:07:50 AM) Ikiryo: The red haired girl stands up, drawing a blade of red light. "You will not get through."
(3:09:18 AM) Feldi: Linny smiles and waves at Rose. "Hello again! Before we get to fighting, are you really Eloise's sister?"
(3:10:38 AM) Ikiryo: "...yes and I'll fight her if needed too. I know she's on your side." She narrows her eyes at Carol. "You too, traitor."
(3:12:10 AM) Feldi: Linny waves her hand. "You don't have to worry about Eloise.  Last time I saw her she was infected with Zabotnik, which I think puts her on your side?"
(3:12:46 AM) Ikiryo: She pauses. "...no, that puts her on..."
(3:12:49 AM) Ikiryo: Carol facepalms
(3:13:01 AM) Ikiryo: "Rose, which side are you on?"
(3:13:46 AM) Ikiryo: Rose looks between the two. "Battles is trying to stop...fuck."
(3:16:30 AM) Feldi: "Wow," Linny says looking from Carol to Rose. "I am sure am glad we got that sorted out. I'm guessing that there's some kind of battle going on inside between the rest of Battles and the forces guarding the entrance to the Loom of Fate you have?"
(3:18:27 AM) Ikiryo: She nods. "I'm here to stop reinforcements moving in to support. Battles is hard pressed...we can't fight the other four departments, even if not all of those departments are fighting."
(3:20:07 AM) Feldi: "Well," Linny looks out at the shattered landscape. "I don't think any reinforcements are coming now. I think we can all go help break through to the Loom, don't you?"
(3:21:13 AM) Ikiryo: "...I don't trust you to let you in. You trashed my temple." "Rose? Shut up and let us through or I will inflict you with such a disease that nurgle himself will be embarassed for you!"
(3:21:50 AM) Feldi: "Nurgle is a father. He loves to embarrass his children."
(3:27:03 AM) Feldi: Linny sighs. "Anyway, look: I know I completely trashed your temple after you empowered the daemon that cursed me, and you brought in a titan in revenge for me dropping one on you.  But that was almost a year ago, your sister has been turned into a nano-spider zombie trapped in her own head, the whole universe is about to become the same way, and I'd rather not have to explain to Eloise, when all this is done, why we wasted time fighting
(3:27:03 AM) Feldi: each other when we could be saving her."
(3:27:49 AM) Feldi: "What about you?"
(3:28:18 AM) Ikiryo: "...fine...but don't think this is over." She nods, sheathing her blade.
(3:29:01 AM) Feldi: Linny grins. "I'll look forward to our meaningless fight another time~"
(3:32:12 AM) Ikiryo: "Next time I'll..." She winces as an explosion is heard from inside the building. "Shit, we need to move fast. One of the Temple Assassins must have gotten through the cordon."
(3:34:53 AM) Feldi: "Temple Assassins?" Linny picks up the pace as Rose and Carol start running.
(3:37:25 AM) Ikiryo: Heading inside...the solid, metal walls inside are heavily marked and scorched. "Sigmarite creations. Heavily augmented humans with cybernetics and law magic...they attempt to stop change about them, including alteration of fate. The church seems to have lost control of them, I'm betting Zabotnik."
(3:39:46 AM) Feldi: "It always comes back to Sigmar lately," Linny comments, preparing the quicksilver essence inside of her for the battle to come.
(3:42:51 AM) Ikiryo: Rose nods...and suddenly dodges to the side, pushing Carol out of the way...and Rose's arm explodes, sending gore all over the corridor. Rose's form shimmers...and nothing changes, her attempt to revert her fate failing. A black-clad figure vanishes around a corner up ahead...
(3:45:01 AM) Feldi: Linny blinks at the violence and ends up skidding across the pool of blood and gore that Rose's arm left behind ahead of Carol and Rose.  "You know, I would have thought cyborgs would be slower, and less invisible." She keeps one eye on where the black-clad figure came from and looks back at Carol and Rose. "She going to be ok?" Linny barks at Carol.
(3:46:03 AM) Ikiryo: Carol shakes her head. "I can stablize her for a bit but she'll need to get to the medical bay and fast. Sidereals...we're not that tough when we get hit." She's already working, spraying some substance over the wound to seal it off for a bit.
(3:46:50 AM) Feldi: "How far is the medical bay?"
(3:47:21 AM) Ikiryo: "I don't know, I'm endings rather than battles. I don't work here." She shakes her head
(3:47:34 AM) Ikiryo: Rose gestures with her working hand...the direction the figure ran.
(3:49:06 AM) Feldi: "That seems like the direction we were going anyway." Linny nods, making a decision. Her body shifts, flesh warping until her hulking warform takes up a large part of the hallway. "You can carry her, right? I'll cover you both until you get to the medical bay."
(3:50:36 AM) Ikiryo: Carol nods. "You don't get to be a battle medical if you can't carry the injured." She picks up the injured girl. "Keep your eyes out."
(3:52:20 AM) Feldi: Linny leads the way, acting as cover as Rose directs them through the stronghold.
(3:57:15 AM) Ikiryo: ...she keeps catching glimpses out of the corner of her eye as they move. They don't act though until they are nearly in the medical bay...when a pair of figures appear out of mid-air.
(3:57:18 AM) Ikiryo: One of them is dressed in a black catsuit, carrying a sniper rifle nearly as large as he is...the other is...a bdsm-dressed figure with a metal helmet that is about as twice as large as his head would be, seemingly with a single huge glowing metal eye off to one side.
(4:01:33 AM) Feldi: The giant wolf-beast that is Linny tilts her head, looking between the two figures. "Has anyone ever told the Church of Sigmar that they need to pick one look and stick with it?"
(4:02:00 AM) Ikiryo: "Target Aquired." "Executing." Linny gets the feeling they are not feeling talkative.
(4:02:35 AM) Feldi: "Shame," Linny growls out, moving to pounce upon them.
(4:13:58 AM) Ikiryo: The sniper raises the heavy rifle. The shot is silent but is likely to hit like a railgun...
(4:21:15 AM) Ikiryo: The shot impacts her...and the wall behind her cracks as a hole in torn in it. Her body didn't even slow it down...
(4:23:26 AM) Ikiryo: The other figure looks at Carol...and the Hospitaler staggers backwards...reality warping around her. She seems unharmed but shaken after it passes. "Gods...a null. He drains magical energy."
(4:31:53 AM) Feldi: Linny is undeterred by the massive hole in her chest, bounding forward and impacting the Vindicare. The ensuing clash ends with only minor bruises for Linny and blood-gushing wound on the Vindicare's trigger hand.
(4:32:54 AM) Ikiryo: The battle sister pushes her way foward, bringing her hammer down...and it passes right through the assassin like mist. "Dammit!"
(4:36:00 AM) Ikiryo: The assassin struggling with Linny punches her in the snout, pulling the rifle under the werewolf's jaw to try and blast her...
(4:37:08 AM) Feldi: At the last moment, Linny twists; the blast only managing to catch the ceiling!
(4:37:35 AM) Ikiryo: The blast punches through the roof...and a glimpse of a room three floors up can be seen through the hole...
(4:38:15 AM) Feldi: "You remind me of Sierra. But she's much nicer to look at than you."
(4:38:54 AM) Ikiryo: The other assassin reaches out for Carol's charge...and gets knocked backwards as the sister surprises him with a headbutt, a small crack on his faceplate...that is soon widens when a thunder hammer impacts it and slams the assassin into a wall.
(4:42:03 AM) Feldi: Linny roars, her blood roiling as pain and the smell of battle grips her in the familiar hold of rage. She lashes out, holding the assassin tight by the shoulder, holding them against the wall, as a dreadful claw comes down..
(4:43:09 AM) Ikiryo: The assassin ducks under the claw...but clearly wrenches thier own arm to escape the grip.
(4:45:04 AM) Ikiryo: The Culexus's metal eye opens fully...and reality warps around Carol, the hospitaler wincing and shivering...going very pale.
(4:47:21 AM) Ikiryo: She responds by shoulder barging him into a wall and planting one of her metal-clad hands over his face...pock marks starting to appear on the small parts of skin that can be seen.
(4:48:46 AM) Ikiryo: The sniper reaches down, pulling out a heavy pistol and unloading at the werewolf...
(4:57:10 AM) Ikiryo: Whatever this person is, they are inhumanly accurate...the shots punching right through her lungs and rattling around inside her body.
(5:02:31 AM) Feldi: Linny gurgles, blood pushing up with each breath she takes to spill over the black lips of her muzzle. With a wild swipe, the pistol, the hand, and the entire arm go flying to slap against the ash-smeared wall.  With victory on her lips, the holes in her chest close for the moment and she coughs the bullets back into the Vindicare's face.
(5:04:10 AM) Ikiryo: The one free arm draws out a heavy combat knife as the assassin silently goes for Linny's eye...
(5:07:17 AM) Ikiryo: The other assassin lunges for Carol, phasing through her hammer as she tries to block with it and drives the phantasmal fist into her chest. She gasps and coughs up blood as she staggers back...seemingly unharmed but clearly that hurt like hell.
(5:07:48 AM) Feldi: Linny slams against the wall, causing the knife to only cut hair, not hide; the wall itself cracking under the force of her warform.
(5:07:58 AM) Ikiryo: "B-Bastard tried to rip my soul out..." She spits blood on the ground.
(5:09:26 AM) Feldi: "I'll be there to help in just a second!" Linny calls out as she pushes off the wall, jumping upon the assassin and knocking them to the ground, claws shining with blood and quicksilver to come down upon his throat.
(5:09:59 AM) Ikiryo: "I-I'm alright...just not a good match up."
(5:14:46 AM) Feldi: The claws meet resistance from the assassin's one good hand, but that only, momentarily, stops one set of claws from passing through his throat. The other set manage the job just fine.  The assassin now unmoving, aside from the faint twitches that come with recent death, Linny stands, bloody and terrible, turning her attention to the last assassin standing.
(5:16:34 AM) Ikiryo: Carol raises her hammer and slams the assassin hard across the head, shattering the helmet in fragments everywhere...the face when it revealed looks horrific.
(5:16:34 AM) Ikiryo: A nose rotted away by disease, pockmarked and unhealthy skin, a few strands of hair left on his liver spotted head and bloody spittle dripping from his lips...he looks like he's lost a fight with every drug linny can think of as a result of that impact.
(5:18:36 AM) Ikiryo: The assassin staggers...and screams as Linny feels a vice grip on her very soul as something tries to rip it out of her body...
(5:25:03 AM) Feldi: The soul of a Lunar, especially one so steeped in the energies of Chaos, is not something to be contained.  The assassin does manage to pull some of her soul from her body, in the form of a tendril of something eldritch that lashes out scarring the Null's own body with a mark of chaos and madness, before it retreats back inside her.
(5:25:14 AM) Ikiryo: Carol draws a sigil in mid air...and it shelters her behind the purple glow...
(5:29:00 AM) Ikiryo: She takes a deep breath...and slams her hammer against the rune. "In Saturn's name, I call your time!" There is a tolling sound, like one of Khaira's bells...and the assassin staggers and decade after decade of disease is inflicted upon him in moments...a rotting, foul smelling mess falling to the ground unmoving...
(5:30:02 AM) Feldi: Linny's nose rankles and she lifts up an arm to cover it. "As bad as a Nurglite," she complains.
(5:30:25 AM) Ikiryo: "I..." She coughs up some blood. "I resemble that remark."
(5:30:54 AM) Feldi: "I meant the smell," Linny chuckles.
(5:31:45 AM) Ikiryo: "I've got a rebreather in my armour." She nods. "Citrine Poxes of Creation...it's not a pretty style but it's the one I had affinity for." She hefts the injured Sidereal as she continues onwards...
(5:34:13 AM) Feldi: Linny follows along, happy to leave the rotting, stinking mess behind.
(5:35:23 AM) Ikiryo: It's not long before they enter what looks like a very familar medical room to Linny. She's seen a lot of triage centers in battlefields before...it's not on par with Eir's hospital but it looks well appointed...and with a lot of injured sidereals and very limited medical staff.
(5:36:14 AM) Feldi: Linny looks about, still in her warform in case of any other assassins lurking about. "Battles isn't doing very well."
(5:36:44 AM) Ikiryo: Rose winces as she's put into a bed. "Four on one is bad odds, even for us."
(5:38:13 AM) Feldi: Linny nods, looking to Carol. "We could probably use you in the fight against Ketchup, but it looks like you'd be a big help here. It's your choice."
(5:39:15 AM) Ikiryo: She bites her lip...and hands Linny a small paper talisman after focusing deeply on it. "Here."
(5:39:48 AM) Feldi: Linny looks down at it. "What is it?"
(5:44:58 AM) Ikiryo: "The Greater Sign of Saturn. If used, it can end almost any effect short of the loom of fate itself. If you're going up against an elder Sideral, you'll likely need it." She gives a slightly weak smile. "Though be careful with it...it inflicts a permanent cost on the sideral who invokes it so don't use it on anything minor~"
(5:46:04 AM) Feldi: "And here I was going to use it on a hangover~ Thanks for this, Carol."
(5:46:33 AM) Ikiryo: "It's the least I can do...I'll try to get some people up on thier feet and back in action. See if I can get you some reinforcements."
(5:48:12 AM) Feldi: "Good luck, if Sidereals believe in that."
(5:49:47 AM) Ikiryo: "I'll take it anyway." She brings up a map. "The entrance to the Loom should be...oh, that's simple. Elevator, press L."
(5:51:08 AM) Feldi: "That's surprisingly convenient."
(5:51:43 AM) Ikiryo: "Well, we use it a lot but...endings has a whole complicated maze thing before it." She shakes her head. "May the maidens watch over you."
(5:53:33 AM) Feldi: "Thanks. Keep safe." Linny moves out into the hallway and lopes towards the elevator.
