Chapter 1
Each Thought

(Knightmare Frames are attacking a city.)

「く、来るな! 来るなぁぁぁぁ!!」
Citizen: S-stay away! STAY AWAAAAY!!

(The Knightmare Frames explode.)

(Kallen appears in the Guren, Zero and C.C. appear in the Gawain.)

カレン
「くっ、何てことを!」
Kallen: Tch, what’s going on!?

C.C.
「機体に大量の爆薬を積み、生命ごと使い捨てる…
いわゆる自爆テロか」
C.C.: They load up a high quantity of explosives on their machines, and then throw their whole life away for one mission. Isn’t this what they call suicide bombers?

(More Knightmares appear.)

カレン
「ゼロ、また来ました!」
Kallen: Zero, more are coming!

藤堂
「こちら側も同様だ!」
Todo: It’s the same on our side!

(Todo is on the radio.)

ゼロ
「強い者が弱い者を一方的に殺す。
そのようなテロリズムを
我ら[黒の騎士団]は断じて許さない」
Zero: The strong one-sidedly murdering the weak. The [Black Knights] will absolutely never allow such acts of terrorism!

ゼロ
「各機は散開し、敵機が自爆する前に仕留めろ」
Zero: Spread out each machine, then destroy the enemy Knightmares before they have a chance to self-destruct!

カレン
「了解!」
Kallen: Roger!

(??? is watching off in the distance.)

「フフ…お前の実力、見させてもらうとするよ」
???: Heh heh... I’ll get you to show me your true power.

(This line plays when Kallen battles an enemy.)

カレン
「お前達に自爆なんてさせない!」
Kallen: I’m not gonna let you guys self-destruct!

(This line plays when Zero battles an enemy.)

ゼロ
(主要都市でも重要な戦略ポイントでもない
この地で、声明も出さずに自爆テロを行う意図は…)
(This isn’t a major city nor does it hold any sort of important strategic value. What is the purpose of using suicide-bombers here without even announcing their intent...?)

(Battle 1 ends.)

(More Knightmares appear.)

「今度は別の方向から来たぞ」
C.C.: They’re coming from a different direction this time.

ゼロ
「敵には、あのようにナイトメアを
使い捨てられる余裕がある。
単なるテロリストではないな」
Zero: This enemy has such a surplus of Knightmares that they can throw this many away on a single mission. We aren’t dealing with your everyday terrorist.

 C.C.
「なら、何者だと言うんだ?」
C.C.: In that case, who could it be?

ゼロ
「推論するには、まだ情報が少ないが…
強力な後ろ盾を持つ者だということは確かだ」
Zero: There’s still too little information for me to form a conclusion now... All we can be sure of is that they must have a powerful individual backing them.

(More Knightmares appear.)

「くっ!」
Kallen: Tch!

カレン
「こうもあちこちから出て来られたら、
街の人達が!」
Kallen: They keep popping up all over! The townspeople will...!

ゼロ
「案ずることはない。既に手は打ってある」
Zero: There’s no need to worry. I’ve already made preparations.

カレン
「え…!?」
Kallen: Huh...!?
(Several Knightmares explode.)

カレン
「!」
Kallen: !

ゼロ
「…来たか」
Zero: ...He’s here.

(Heero appears in Wing Zero.)

ヒイロ
「………」
Heero: ...

ゼロ
「ヒイロ・ユイ、現戦域内の敵機を全て排除しろ」
Zero: HeeroYuy, remove all enemy machines currently in the battlefield zone.

ヒイロ
「任務了解」
Heero: Mission acknowledged.

(Heero flies towards the enemy.)

ヒイロ
「次は…そこか」
Heero: Next...over there.

(Heero destroys all remaining Knightmares.)

C.C.
「ほう」
C.C.: Not bad.

カレン
「敵の動きを先読みしてるの…!?」
Kallen: Is he predicting the enemy’s movements...!?

ゼロ
(ここでウイングガンダムゼロという
切り札を表に出したくなかったが…)
(Zero: I didn’t want to show my trump card—the Wing Gundam Zero—so soon, but...)

(いいね、面白い。
確か、ウイングガンダムゼロだったか…
遊び甲斐があるよ)
???: (Very nice, very interesting. Wing Gundam Zero... I bet it’d be worth playing around with that.)

(あいつが黒の騎士団に加わったのなら、
もっと楽しくなりそうだ)
???: (If that guy’s joined up with the Black Knights then this is sure to become quite enjoyable.)

C.C.
「…どうやら、自爆ナイトメアは
今ので最後らしいな」
C.C.: ...Looks like that was the last of the Knightmare suicide squad.

「グラスゴーの残骸を回収した後、撤収するぞ」
Zero: We’ll recover the wrecked Glasgow’s later. We’re withdrawing.

C.C.
「やはり、気になったか?」
C.C.: Did you notice something? I figured you would.

ゼロ
「ああ。
あれに人は乗っていなかったようだ」
Zero: Yes. It appears no one was actually piloting these machines.

カレン
「…ヒイロ、来てくれて助かったよ」
Kallen: ...Heero, you really saved us by coming here.

ヒイロ
「黒の騎士団の一員としての
役目を果たしただけだ」
Heero: I merely performed my duty as a member of the Black Knights.

ゼロ
「…何故、ナイトメアの出現位置がわかった?」
Zero: ...Tell me, how did you know the exact position the Knightmares were appearing?

ヒイロ
「ゼロが教えてくれる」
Heero: Zero told me.

カレン
「え、ゼロ?
…ああ、ウイングガンダムゼロのことね」
Kallen: Huh? Zero? ...Oh, you mean Wing Gundam Zero.

C.C.
「紛らわしいな」
C.C.: Quite an easy mix up, isn’t it?

ゼロ
(ウイングガンダムゼロ…
未来予測か、それに近しいことを行うシステムを
搭載しているという話は本当らしいな)
Zero: (Wing Gundam Zero...It seems it truly is equipped with a system that can predict the future, or at least something close to it.)

ゼロ
(そして、今回の件で
あれの有用性を再確認し、動く者もいるはず。
その結果が我々にとって、利となるか害となるか…)
Zero: (If so, I should reaffirm its usefulness, then act accordingly. I need to determine if it will be to our benefit or to our detriment in the end...)

(前者を呼び込むために成すべきことは...。
いずれにせよ、リスクは覚悟せねばならんな)
Zero:  (If it’s the latter...I’ll have to be ready. )

「…あれから何度も爆弾グラスゴーが現れたが、
首謀者の声明はいまだに出されていない」
Todo: ...There have been numerous instances of Glasgow bombings, but the mastermind still hasn’t made an announcement.

「あのグラスゴーは全て無人…
しかも、相当数が用意されている」
Zero: Every single one of those Glasgows were unmanned... Not to mention, the sheer amount of them.

ゼロ
「その手配、整備、輸送手段から判断しても
並のテロリストが仕組める計画ではない」
Zero: When you consider the preparations, the maintenance, the means of transportation required to pull this off, it becomes clear that this isn’t the scheme of your average terrorist organization.

藤堂
「ああ。
無人機とはいえ、ナイトメアを自爆させる以上、
損耗率は決して軽視できぬはず」
Todo: Yes. Even if they’re unmanned, they’re acting as if the scores of Knightmares that have been lost are inconsequential.

藤堂
「背後には間違いなく大掛かりな組織がいるだろうが、
レジスタンスの類いならば、標的の選抜を誤っている」
Todo: There has to be some large-scale organization acting behind the scenes, I’d say. If it’s the something like the Resistance, then they really messed up when selecting their targets.

カレン
「首謀者がレジスタンスや
テロリストじゃないとすると…」

Kallen: If their leader isn’t part of the Resistance or a Terrorist, then…

ゼロ
(一連の事件に関して、[ブリタニア]は、
ナイトメアによる自爆テロだと発表していない)
Zero: (A series of incidents has occurred, yet Britannia hasn’t made an announcement on the Knightmare suicide-bombings...)

(それは自軍の兵器が使われているからこそだが…
そうなると、ブリタニア側の人間が
犯人だという線が強くなった)
Zero: (Perhaps that’s because it’s their own weapons being used... In that case, the likelihood of the criminal being Britannian is strong.)

(しかし、表立った皇族らが
この事件を起こす意味がない。
誰の得にもならないからな)
Zero: (However, there’s no reason anyone in the imperial family would be responsible. There’s no benefit to be gained.)

カレン
「いったい、どこの誰が…?」
Kallen: Then, who could it be…?

(誰が得をするか。
まずは動機を絞る方が先決だな)
Zero: (Who would stand to gain from it all? I must figure out their motive first.)

ヒイロとウイングガンダムゼロがいなければ、
被害はもっと広がっていたな…」

Urabe: Anyways, if Heero and Wing Gundam Zero weren’t there, the damage would have been much more widespread.

「だが、爆弾グラスゴーを
複数地点で同時に展開された時は
俺だけで防ぎ切れなかった」
Heero: But when the Glasgow bombs appeared in multiple locations, I wasn’t able to hold them all off.

「それでも君はよくやってくれているよ」
Urabe: Even still, you did good work out there.

カレン
(ウイングガンダムゼロが
黒の騎士団へ加入すると聞いて、
何か裏があるんじゃないかと思ってたけど…)
Kallen: (Wing Gundam Zero, huh. When I heard he joined the Black Knights, I thought he was keeping something from us but...

カレン
(今のところ、ヒイロにそんな素振りはないし、
むしろ私達にとってプラスになってる)
Kallen: (For now at least, Heero isn’t acting suspicious. Instead, he’s become a great help to us.)

(A notification jingle plays.)

ゼロ
「…ヒイロ、頼まれていた偽造IDの準備が出来た。
後で井上から受け取ってくれ」
Zero: ...Heero, the fake ID you requested has been prepared. Please receive it from Inoue later.

ヒイロ
「助かる」
Heero: Thanks.

カレン
「偽造ID? そんな物、何に…?」
Kallen: Fake ID? What would you need something like that for...?

(An alarm sounds off.)

カレン
「!」

「ヨコハマの湾岸地区に
例のグラスゴーが出現しました!」

Black Knight Member: The Glasgows from before have appeared in the Yokohama Bay district!

「まさか!」
Ohgi: You’re kidding!

ゼロ
「直ちに出撃する。
ヒイロ、お前にも出てもらうぞ」
Zero: Dispatch immediately. Heero, you’re coming as well.

ヒイロ
「了解した」
Heero: Roger.

(Scene ends.)

(Battle 2 begins.)

(Suzaku in the Lancelot is at Yokohama surrounded by Knightmares.)

スザク
「自爆などさせるものか!」
Suzaku: I won’t let you self-destruct!

スザク
「よし、次は!」
Suzaku: Alright, on to the next!

スザク
「!」
Suzaku: !

(Several more Knightmares appear.)

スザク
「くっ、この調子で数が増えていったら、
ランスロット1騎だけでは…!」
Suzaku: Agh, their numbers keep increasing, but Lancelot’s just one machine...!

(Suzaku’s radar picks up something.)

スザク
「この反応は!?」
Suzaku: This reading is...!?

ゼロ
「力無き者を標的にするこの卑劣な行い、
見過ごすわけにはいかない」
Zero: Targeting those lacking strength is a contemptible act. One that we cannot overlook!

スザク
「ゼロ…!」
Suzaku: Zero...!

ゼロ
「枢木スザク…
共にあのナイトメアを駆逐するか、
我々まで排除するか。どちらを選ぶ?」
Zero: Suzaku Kururugi... Join us in eradicating these Knightmares or die alongside us. What say you?

スザク
「自分に…ブリタニアに協力すると言うのか…!?」
Suzaku: You’re saying you want me... You want Britannia to cooperate with you...!?

ゼロ
「一連の事件に対し、
我々黒の騎士団が何を成して来たか
知っているはずだ」
Zero: Surely you know where the Black Knights stand regarding these incidents.

スザク
「…ああ。
今はその力、貸してもらう!」
Suzaku: ...Yeah, I know. So for now, I’ll lend you my strength!

ゼロ
「賢明な判断だ」
Zero: A wise decision.

カレン
「ヒイロ、手分けして
グラスゴーを片付けるよ!」
Kallen: Heero, let’s split up and get rid of the Glasgows!!

ヒイロ
「ああ」
Heero: Got it.

スザク
(ウイングガンダムゼロ…
その力、直に見せてもらう…!)
Suzaku: (Wing Gundam Zero... I’ll see that power of yours first hand...!)

(Battle 2 begins.)

(This line plays if Suzaku enters a battle.)

スザク
「今は自分の感情を優先している場合じゃない…!
一刻も早く、あのナイトメアを排除しなければ!」
Suzaku: I can’t let my personal feelings get the better of me right now...! I’ve got to take out these Knightmares as soon as possible!

(This line plays if Heero enters a battle.)

ヒイロ
(俺達が出て来ることは予測しているはず…
にも関わらず、使う手は同じか)
Heero: (They should have known we’d show up…and yet, they’re employing the exact same tactic.)

(Battle ends.)

C. C.
「…全て片付いたようだな」
C.C.: ...Looks like we cleaned everything up here.

ゼロ
(だが、ヒイロとスザクがいても限界が近い。
次にこれ以上の数を出されると…)
Zero: (However, even Heero and Suzaku are near their limit. If they come in even greater numbers next time then...)

ヒイロ
「ゼロ、あのナイトメアはどうする?」
Heero: Zero, what should we do about that Knightmare?

スザク
[………]
Suzaku: ...

ゼロ
「放っておいて構わない。
奴にこちらとやり合う余裕はないだろうからな。
引き揚げるぞ」
Zero: He won’t pose a problem even if we let him go. He can’t afford to fight us here. We’ll withdraw.

ヒイロ
「了解した」
Heero: Roger.

(The Black Knights leave the map.)

スザク
(ウイングガンダムゼロ…」
シュナイゼル殿下の構想通りなら、まもなく…)
Suzaku: (Wing Gundam Zero... Prince Schneizel’s plan will be underway, soon...)

(Lelouch is on the phone with someone.)

やはり、シュナイゼルは
旧[OZ]の開発ラインを使って…」
Lelouch: ...I see. As I thought, Schneizel is using the old [OZ] development line...

ルルーシュ
「ご苦労。今夜、行動に移る」
Lelouch: This is troubling. I’ll have to take action tonight.

ルルーシュ
「ああ、そうだ。
主要メンバーには内密に、だ」
Lelouch: Yes, that’s right. This is a confidential matter for the key players only.

ルルーシュ
(フッ･・・思った通り、食い付いた。
あの時、切り札を出しておいて正解だったな)
Lelouch: Ha... Like I thought, he took the bait. It was the right call to use my trump card after all.

上手く出来ていますか?」
Nunnally: How’s this, Suzaku? Did I do it right?

スザク
「うん、上手い上手い。次は.…
…アーサー、あやとりの紐で遊んじゃ駄目だよ」
Suzaku: Yeah, that’s perfect. Next is... ...Now, now Arthur, it may be called “Cat’s Cradle” but that doesn’t mean you can play with the string.

(Suzaku and Nunnally are making shapes with string. Arthur, the cat, is going after the string.)

「席を外してすまなかったな」
Lelouch: Sorry I had to step out like that.

スザク
「電話、急ぎの用事だったのかい?」
Suzaku: Was that phone call about something important?

ルルーシュ
「リヴァルの奴からだよ。
またバイトを頼みたいって」
Lelouch: It was just Rivalz. He’s asking me to work part time again.

ナナリー
「まあ、お兄様…今夜も遅くなるんですか?」
Nunnally: Aw... Does that mean you’ll be out late again tonight, big brother?

スザク
「それなら気を付けた方がいい。
今、街に出るのは危険だ」
Suzaku: If you are, be really careful. It’s dangerous to go to town right now.

「例の暴走ナイトメアって奴か?
OSの不調だとかいう…」
Lelouch: You mean those runaway Knightmares everyone’s been talking about? They say the OS has gone bad or something...

ナナリー
「そんなことが…」
Nunnally: Something like that can happen...?

スザク
「ああ。とにかく原因がわかるまでは…」
Suzaku: Yeah. Anyways, they still haven’t figured out the cause for it but...

「きゃっ!」
Nunnally: Eek!

「こらっ、アーサー!」
Suzaku: Hey, Arthur!

Nunnally: The Cat’s Cradle string...

「僕が取り返してくるよ」
Suzaku: I’ll get it back!

Nunnally: Oh... You found Arthur?

「こいつから俺の所へ来ただけだ」
Heero: Actually, he came to me.

Suzaku: You’re the new transfer student...

Heero: Heero Yuy.

ナナリー
「そのお名前、聞いたことが…
確か、完全平和主義を唱えられた指導者の…」
Nunnally: I’ve heard that name before... It was from that leader that supported total pacifism...

ヒイロ
「ああ。単なる同姓同名だ」
Heero: Yeah. We just happen to have the exact same name.

ルルーシュ
「ありがとう、ヒイロ。
転校生の君がその猫を見つけてくれたんだね」
Lelouch: Thank you, Heero. I didn’t expect the transfer student would be the one to find our cat.

ルルーシュ
「俺はルルーシュ・ランペルージ。
この学園の生徒会で副会長をやってる。
もし、わからないことがあったら…」
Lelouch: I’m Lelouch Lamperouge. I’m this academy’s vice-president of the student council. If you ever have any questions then...

そんな恐い顔をして…何か気に障ったかな」
Lelouch: What is it? You’ve got a scary look there... Is something bothering you?

「いや、知った人間の所作に似ていたんでな」
Heero: No, you just act like someone I know.

Lelouch: (...Did he figure out that I’m Zero?)

「それよりも猫がこの紐を咥えていたが…」
Heero: That cat had this string in its mouth...

「それはナナリーの…」
Suzaku: That’s Nunnally’s...

ナナリー
「あ、ナナリーは私です」
Nunnally: That would be me.

ヒイロ
「いたずら好きな奴だ。
しっかりと抱えているようにな」
Heero: He’s a mischievous little guy. You’ve got to hold on to him tight.

ナナリー

Nunnally: ...

「何だ?」
Heero: What?

ナナリー
「…ヒイロさんは優しい方なんですね」
Nunnally: ...Heero, you’re a kind person.

Heero: ...!

ナナリー
「ありがとうございます、ヒイロさん」
Nunnally: Thank you very much, Heero.

Heero: Sorry I bothered you.

(Heero walks off.)

Suzaku: (The way he moves is...)

ナナリー
「どうかしましたか、スザクさん?」
Nunnally: Is something wrong, Suzaku?

スザク
「あ、いや...
彼が不思議な雰囲気を持っていると思ってね」
Suzaku: Ah, no... I just thought that guy had a mysterious air about him.

ナナリー
「でも、とても優しい方です。
手に触れて、そう感じました」
Nunnally: But, he’s a very kind person. I could tell when he touched my hand.

スザク
「そうか…そうかもね」
Suzaku: Yeah... You may be right.

Lelouch: (As I thought, he needed that fake ID to enter the Settlement.)
